Allen West condemns opponent’s Super PAC ad that shows him punching women, taking money

Via the Shark Tank and the Blaze. The cliched boxing metaphor and cartoonish animation make it seem more cornball to me than sinister, but read this piece from a few days ago to get a sense of the sort of racially-tinged insanity West has to deal with from his Democratic colleagues in the House. Go figure that he might assume the worst about an ad cooked up by a PAC funded by his opponent’s father. The statement:

Allen West responds: “I spent my life in uniform fighting for our great nation and protecting all Americans. The ad being run against me by my opponent’s family depicting violence against women and senior citizens is reprehensible. It plays on stereotypes and fear to divide Americans, and it cheapens the very real and tragic occurrences of violence against women and seniors. The American people are suffering from crushing debt, horrific tax and regulatory policies, and epic unemployment. This classless ad shows a lack of regard for the issues plaguing our nation. This ad reflects the sad state of politics in our Republic with those who seek to destroy a person’s character to cover for their lack of intellectual ability and integrity.”

When the left perceives racism in a righty ad, it’s the subject of the ad and his political allies who get to decide what the offender’s actual intent was. Does West get the benefit of the same standard or do the rules conveniently change for him?

This ad is blatantly racist. If a white Republican took out an ad like this against a black Democrat there would be rioting in the streets. Yet in this case, nothing. It would almost appear that most of the racial incidents in this country are nothing but Democrat manipulation.

It’s doubtful. His posts get deleted but they need him here. He drives page refreshes/hits that bring in money from advertisers.
The dissemination and discussion of information is pleasant but secondary. It’s a chicken/egg scenario, but Uppereastside helps’s profits and I suspect they tolerate much, much more from him (and inthemiddle, angryed, etc.) simply because liberal trolls who are willing to be proven wrong time and time again aren’t that easy to come by in a closed-registration site.
There is something comically satisfying in knowing uppereastside is often almost single-handedly responsible for putting money in the severely-conservative (hotair’s owners) corporatists’ pockets, though.
Even funnier is that he earns them money while not converting anyone to his (D) view, and, worse, turning people off to it because of his own highly-visible personal bigotry and acidity.

attack ad source: Palm Beach Post

The Post? Really? I was from that area and everyone in Palm Beach and Martin Counties knows that the Palm Beach Post is a leftist rag.
Hell, it’s a damn fish-wrapper and they can’t even get the fishing report right! That rag isn’t good enough to be used for toilet paper.
