Could it be due to LAZY Americans being too afraid to call them out for their intolerance in person? Might it be blamed on most Americans having spines of linguini?

Consider this: Appx. 40% of Americans are registered to vote, and from that group less than 40% vote regularly. If Americans care so little about their country why would they be bothered by intolerant liberals? They just go back to keeping their couches warm and let the Real Americans like the TEA Party Patriots do their work for them.

All revealed religions are intolerant, and further, the Left sees absolutely no reason to see the rest of us as anything less than an enemy in need of extirpation. Our law and traditions are no more than obstacles to their vision, to be used or thwarted as necessary.

I say again it is a religion which is at war with the rest of us. Further it see Islam as its armed wing: note the UK, which is the key to terrorism in the West because of the protection Labour offers it.

Simple, no?…

Political correctness is out of control precisely because liberals are so intolerant.

Kids can’t bring lunches from home because liberals are intolerant that the poor kid isn’t going to eat the government mandated slop served at intolerant government schools teaching politically correct (but historically misrepresented) subjects.

Want to fly a historic battle flag from certain states? Racist!

Criticize Obama’s policies? Racist!

Tea Party member advocating for low taxes and a constitutionally restrained government? Racists!

Want to wear a crucifix to school? No! But Muslims can wear their religiously mandated clothing.

A CEO expresses his personal opinion that he supports traditional marriage as a legal standard and liberals want to put him out of business.

Don’t believe the science behind climate change is up to standard? Denier! Shut Up!

I’m pretty sure the list is virtually endless.

Liberals are intolerant because we the people let them get away with it.

But Chick-Fil-A appreciation day is a step in the right direction to put a stop to liberal intolerance. When they realize that it is no longer working, they’ll stop being so intolerant and perhaps we can all live happier and more tolerant lives.

Because the liberal elites purposely feed their hate of the political “other” (see Orwell’s 1984), and because they are stuck with liberal arts degrees that are not worth the paper they are printed on.

Few here would want to deny you the right to inherit from your same-sex partner, be able to protect your property in the case of a breakup, or make medical decisions for an incompetent or unconscious partner.

All of which could be done with a few changes to basic laws.

And even better, it would benefit everyone, not just gay couples.

Prime example: the Pension Protection Act of 2006. Prior to this act, it was impossible for you to leave a 401(k), IRA, or tax-advantaged retirement account to someone who wasn’t your spouse without them having to take the distribution from the account and pay a massive tax penalty. Under the PPA, the concept of a non-spousal beneficiary was created; this person, who can be anyone (if you have a spouse, they have to consent if it isn’t them), can receive your account without their having to distribute it unless they choose to do so.

This law benefits everyone. People may WANT to leave retirement accounts to people other than their spouses, i.e. grandkids. They may not wish to be married. Whatever the reason, it works — and it passed with overwhelming Republican support.

The Obama Party, however, fought it tooth and nail — both because they were losing a massive tax windfall, just like they get from the death tax, and because they aren’t interested in helping gay couples, just in keeping them as useful victims.

It would be no particular difficulty to change the tax code, update the requirements for Social Security, put in place uniform requirements for health power of attorney, do all these different things. It would lower taxes for millions of Americans, gay and straight, it would simplify estate planning, and it would deal with these types of issues, all without having to jack with marriage.

And it would have overwhelming Republican support.
