Video: Palin rallies tea partiers for Ted Cruz on eve of Texas senate primary

posted at 10:01 pm on July 27, 2012 by Allahpundit

Via C4P. If Cruz wins on Tuesday, it’ll arguably be the biggest upset that tea partiers have ever pulled. Watch this and get your game face on.

The response from David Dewhurst HQ:

https://twitter.com/TeamDewhurst/statuses/228878465485639680

And from the candidate himself:

In the interview, Dewhurst also fired back specifically at DeMint, Paul and Lee, as well as former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, who has previously endorsed Cruz.

“These are senators from South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Utah and Kentucky. With all due respect, they are from states that don’t have anywhere near the economy, state government and success that we have in Texas,” he said. “And he’s aligning himself with them over the work we’ve done here.”

Didn’t Dewhurst run several ads starring … Mike Huckabee? Hello?

Obamacare’s contraception mandate loses in Colorado court

A coalition of civil rights group has persuaded a Denver, Colo. judge that Obamacare’s preventive care coverage provides a “substantial burden” on a Colorado company’s free exercise of religion.

Judge John Kane, who was appointed by President Jimmy Carter, granted a “preliminary injunction” barring enforcement of the law against the company, pending a full trial.

Newland v. Sebelius was filed in the U.S. District Court of the District of Colorado by Hercules Industries — a private company that manufactures heating and air-conditioning products.

Preliminary injunctions are usually granted when the judge believe the plaintiff has a strong case. The judge recognized that the Obamacare mandate violates the Constitution and the 1993 Religious Freedom Restoration Act, Bowman said.

The Constitution and the law require the government to have a compelling reason for church-related regulation, and to use alternative means wherever possible, he said.

The Obamacare mandate, he added, “could easily be served by the government providing contraceptive themselves … if there was the political will.”

“This principle applies to all of those [religious freedom] cases that have been applied and will be applied.”

And then there are the young angry white male RP “troofers” who were once liberals, then started listening to Alex Jones and sponging up the RP forums like the sheep they are, suffering from severe identity crisis. Can’t leave them out.

Huma Abedin’s Brotherhood Ties Are Not Just a Family Affair

“Senator John McCain’s claim that concerns about Huma Abedin are a smear based on “a few unspecified and unsubstantiated associations” proves more embarrassing by the day. In fact, to the extent it addressed Ms. Abedin, the letter sent to the State Department’s inspector general by five House conservatives actually understated the case.

The letter averred that Abedin “has three family members — her late father, her mother and her brother — connected to Muslim Brotherhood operatives and/or organizations.” It turns out, however, that Abedin herself is directly connected to Abdullah Omar Naseef, a major Muslim Brotherhood figure involved in the financing of al-Qaeda. Abedin worked for a number of years at the Institute for Muslim Minority Affairs as assistant editor of its journal. The IMMA was founded by Naseef, who remained active in it for decades, overlapping for several years with Abedin. Naseef was also secretary general of the Muslim World League in Saudi Arabia, perhaps the most significant Muslim Brotherhood organization in the world. In that connection, he founded the Rabita Trust, which is formally designated as a foreign terrorist organization under American law due to its support of al-Qaeda.”

You hear that John McCain and Marco Rubio? You two pieces of cowardly anti-American garbage!

Sarah’s real threat to liberals is that she can motivate Conservatives. The Left has no such match.
