With Democrats it’s a time-honored institution. These numbers don’t turn up in the early polls, which would be any poll earlier than election day.

Jindal safe?? From what I have seen, he is one of the most competent and contentious(to the Obama administration) possible VP picks in the running.
Now, Portman and Pawlenty, I can see them as “safe” picks. No passion. Just like they are doing politics by the numbers.

Ok, but the main thing is he’s more RINO than conservative.
Maybe conservative for a Northeastern Repub, but the NEastern Repubs are over-represented and out of line with the rest of the country, with the vast majority of conservatives.
So many issues he takes a left-leaning stance. Lets highlight just one of them where the BULLY seems to come in to play — AGAINST conservatives. It’s his aggressive agreement with the leftists on climate change. He doesn’t have any qualms about expressing his disdain for the rest of us (a Pew poll showed that now only 19% of Repubs believe in man-made global warmming). He and Huntsman didn’t seem to have gotten the message. Climate change serves as the central justification for Obama’s all of the above war on energy; that’s a main reason why this issue is a virtual litmus test for conservatives. Christie fails.

He may be a man-made climate change believer, but he also understands economics. He pulled us out of RGGI because it was bad business sense. So he doesn’t worship at the altar of GAIA the way you portrayed him.

The DoJ should apologize for all of these spurious lawsuits against states that have moved to make sure that no legitimate voter is disenfranchised by a illegitimate voter casting a ballot.

As a resident of the Once Great State of California I must say that that suggestion makes me weep. Mostly on a count of Chris Christie being a Liberal RINO, but at least being Fiscally Conservative, which California really really needs.(The Fiscally Conservative, not the Liberal RINO)
