Open thread: Sunday morning talking heads

posted at 8:01 am on July 8, 2012 by Allahpundit

Slim pickings this morning: “Meet the Press” is preempted by Tour de France coverage and nothing much else is going on except Reince Priebus and Debbie Wasserman-Schultz in a battle of RNC/DNC talking points on “Fox News Sunday.” Your best bet is probably Bobby Jindal on ABC, as these high-profile Sunday surrogate appearances on Romney’s behalf amount to de facto VP tryouts for him, Ryan, and Pawlenty.

The line-up via WaPo:

CBS’ Face the Nation: Sen. John McCain (R-AZ); Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL); former Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour; Doris Kearns Goodwin, baseball historian; Frank Deford, Sports Illustrated; Harold Reynolds, MLB TV; Jayson Stark, ESPN

ABC’s This Week: Gov. Martin O’Malley (D-MD); Gov. Bobby Jindal (R-LA); George Will, ABC; E.J. Dionne, Washington Post and Brookings Institution; Gwen Ifill, PBS; Steven Rattner, former Counselor to the Treasury Secretary and Obama administration Lead Auto Adviser; Mort Zuckerman, U.S. News & World Report

Fox News Sunday: Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL); Reince Priebus, Chairman of the Republican National Committee; Rep. Tom Price (R-GA); Rep. Xavier Becerra (D-CA); Bill Kristol, Weekly Standard and Fox News; AB Stoddard, The Hill; Chip Saltsman, former Huckabee campaign manager; Juan Williams, Fox News

CNN’s State of the Union with Candy Crowley: Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY); Robert Gibbs, Obama Campaign Senior Adviser; Douglas Holtz-Eakin; Mark Zandi, Moody’s Analytics; former New Jersey Senator Bill Bradley

How are foreign bank accounts or companies registered off shore that are reported in the tax returns and taxes paid accordingly dodges? They often are means to conduct business abroad. But low information deep thinking sheeple and envious crowd could not and want not to know that and bought into demagogues by the Dems again.

Hmm, seems Obama appointee IRS Chief Counsel Wilkins is a former lobbyist for the Swiss Bankers Association. I guess Swiss Bank Accounts are only bad when they don’t belong to your cronies.

BTW, didn’t Obama pledge there would be no lobbyists working in his administration?

And the “tax dodging” charge against Romney is just another in a long string of lies from Team Obama. An examination of the 203 page tax return he disclosed — as part of his full compliance with all financial disclosure requirements — shows that because of the US tax laws Romney is paying taxes on an extra $1 Million that he doesn’t actually have. You can read all about this phantom million here. I’m sure someone on Team Obama realized this when they poured over Romney’s tax return which makes the fact that they are trying to make hay out of a perfectly legal account that many wise investors use that much more despicable.

Indeed.

The Main Stream Media is 100% biased.

They are about the same as Pravda was in the old USSR. Obama gives them their marching orders and they fall into line. It you see it on TV you know that it is worthless information massaged to fit someones agenda.

Fake but accurate.

Right.

Lies today and forever. Anything to hurt conservatives. Like the black guy with a gun protesting the Tea Party. They made out he was white and with the Tea Party. The gun was legal even.
