Many democrats in the church who subscribe to abortion. No support for Romney there.

This election has yet to begin, but 0bama lost so much support that he is sweating just like Romney today, and for the same reasons. Neither have managed to energize their base because neither offer a true American vision for the future.

I just think we should let people feel like they feel and let it motivate them accordingly. I’m not annoyed with the folks that are happily moving on, that’s a pragmatic outlook but I’m also have no problem with people who feel like the have been blindsided, from start to finish with this legislation. As for the Romney campaign, it would be helpful if the missteps weren’t done by the same person, a Mr. Etch-A-Scetch, I believe is his name. A smart campaign might think this gentleman could take a position with a lower profile. Unless his is the correct message.

I believe that is correct, Fehrnstrom has no business going out there and trotting out his personal opinions on the matter (who cares what he thinks) if they do no represent the campaign official position...if the campaign is still working on the messaging (attack obama on raising taxes on middle class, or attack obamacare as bad law in general), then fine, but put a leash/muzzle on the Fehrnstrom dude...personally I think that pointing that obama is raising taxes on the middle class is an easier line of attack, especially with the low information voters, even they are not that dumb not to get what that would mean for their finances exactly...easier than explaining why obamacare is an abominably bad low, especially when most of its effects won't be experienced directly by citizens until at least 2014, of not 2016.... If it ain't happening now, it does not exist for the airhead voters..

Everybody forgets to mention the co-pays.

Obamacare only "pays" for the premiums.

Obamacare used a "Bronze" (which they promptly re-named to "Silver") policy for their calculations of the cost to the Government.

That level of policy only covers 70% of medical expenses, and carries a high deductible - if a person can't afford to pay the co-pay/deductible, they are still stuck with a huge medical bill.

Yeah, Obama "won", all right....

I’m pretty much an optimist but this ruling came down on Thursday, and then we have been given news about why a justice, thought to be an originalist, is in fact a fifteen year old high school girl who wants to be popular. Add to it, a minority leader who is willing but not hopeful and a nominee who’s staff seems to be confused and all I can say is so sorry we aren’t cheerful enough. Obamacare is a BFD!

Well, the confusion of Romney's staff on this all is legit if you think it comes only 4 days after the most confusing ruling probably in the history of SCOTUS, and by that I do not mean controversial, I mean just confusing...so, no wonder Romney's campaign is still figuring what to do with it and and how to package it all for ad and messaging purposes...as for the latter part of your comment, cheerfulness was not what I was aiming for :), if one doesn't have it in oneself, they can't fake it, nor they should be expected to :)...the way I see it, between negativity and cheerfulness (assuming they are polar opposites, which am not quite sure fhey are) there is quite a large set of possibilities on the mood/mode/state of mind/heart spectrum, one can be realistic, level headed and engaged, without being mindlessly cheerful or downright depressing and negative...

<blockquote>That’s only step one. Which I will engage in.
Step two is somehow making sure those without spines do what needs to be done and repeal the bill.
Step three is some constitutional amendments to neuter Roberts decision and return us to Federalism.

I’m reasonably confident that we can accomplish step one. It is the other two steps that is giving me heartburn.

The hospitals will pressure the politicians with campaign contributions to keep obamatax for several reasons. Medicaid reimbursement and the provision in the law which limits physician owned hospitals. The hospitals hate them because they are in direct competition, so the big hospitals made sure limits on them were placed in the bill before they would support its passage. Nothing wrong with them lobbying politicians as long as the public is aware.

Precisely what the left want of you.

Get over yourself and multi-track, or go gulching. The latter is very much the saner option anyway.

McConnell and Romney will keep the RINO fires barely flickering but the establishment is happy.

Don’t be depressed jimver, be apathetic. It’s easier on your health, health having more meanings.

Depressed, moi, why, I am not :), I just think that dwelling so much on the negative is not healthy for anyone (saw that you brought the health matter in :), and not conducive to action either, to most it has a paralysing effect, reason why I said I normally stay away from this sort of attitude, people, comments, etc....Personally I am an insouciant (is that even a word in English :), happy go lucky kind of person, and gulching in the 'Atlas Shrugged' sense is not for me, I'd rather be in the world, than retreat, the wrold remains a fundamentally interesting place and will always see it that way :)...nor am I apathetic bu nature :)...my point being, I do what I can for our cause, if we don't succeed so be it, but I find no use for negativity in the process, either before or after...so, I will not allow it to crawl insidiously and attack my foundations :)... But then this is just my protection mechanism if you want to call it that...

And you believe this shit about the Federal government paying 90% of Medicaid expansion after 2016? Where the hell the feds are going to come out with all this money? States are not stupid, they know that they would be paying at least 50% of Medicaid expansion in two or three years from now if they opt in. That is why many states are not going to opt in. h

Note that the proggie solution either gives millions of illegal aliens Medicaid, or illegal aliens will continue to get free healthcare from hospitals. Nothing is as cheap as free.

The only way to keep illegal aliens from getting free healthcare in hospitals is to turn them away.
