At the very least, MI is in play and PBHO will have to spend time and resources to hold it. He is playing to hold on to states that he should have in his pocket. He is on defense and that is not going to change from now until election day.

Electing Romney is merely the cap on the conservative victory. No, I don’t believe Romney will initiate the things we conservatives want and KNOW will fix the economy.

Conservative victory, no matter who the GOP candidate is, happens in the House and Senate. We get those two bodies as conservative as we can, as Tea Party as we can, then Romney becomes just a pen. Like the Marxist congress of 2006-2010 shoved stuff down the throat of America while Obama was a happy pen, we can undo it the same way.

President Romney WILL repeal pull back the overregulation done by the EPA, NLRB, etc. And he will cooperate with a conservative congress.

If we win the congressional victory we need to, and allow Obama to win because of some stupid ideological purity test of Romney, Obama becomes a veto pen, does even more by executive order, Geithner continues to run crazy, etc.

Fight to win your congressional races for conservatives. See conservative senators to the finish line. And get out the vote for Romney, the only guy who can win AND sign off on a conservative agenda.

No. That would be the Dems who haven’t produced a budget in over THREE YEARS. Go back and look at the reason WHY we received a credit downgrade the first time. It was because we had no budget and no one was trying to lower spending.

Our full faith and credit is endangered because Federal Government spends far, far, FAR more than it takes in. We need to REDUCE OUR SPENDING… and the only ones who have been advocating that has been the GOP, not your do nothing – stuck on stupid Dems.

As for Barry-O’s support of gay marriage costing him votes in the Muslim community…maybe among the women. But I don’t think Muslim males will even take much notice of it. The truth is the homosexual population among Muslims is pretty much the same as in most cultures. The closets are full of them. Muslim males are so convinced of their own superiority and that of their Muslim brothers that anything they want to do is okay. This won’t resonate.

If Michigan is swinging toward a tie, and (according to Question 4) people in MI are 40-49 against reducing collective-bargaining rights for public-sector unions, what is swinging Michigan voters toward Romney?

Not I, but I’m not going to lie about the fact that Romney would make a better president than O. Mittens isn’t an irredeemably idiotic America-hating socialist. “Better than Obama” is infinitely too low a bar for the trouble that this country is in right now.

Nice work if you can get it. There is at least rational hope with Romney that he understands the need for private sector job creation.

Obama has proved that he has neither the desire or the competence to grow America’s economy. The lying Obama troll above likes to drop little facts like O’s complete bad faith in fiscal negotiation and the Democrat’s refusal to pass a budget for the last 3 1/2 years.

Or maybe the GM bailout didn’t go as well as planned, and auto workers are leaving Michigan to work for Toyota or Honda in right-to-work states in the South?

Interestingly enough, here in Connecticut I see lots of TV ads about how Michigan is attracting businesses, and how Michigan is a great place to spend a summer vacation. Maybe Gov. Snyder is trying to change the image of his state from being totally dependent on the auto industry to a more diversified economy, and Michiganders are warming up to a more pro-business philosophy embraced by both Snyder and Romney.

Michigan could still be an uphill battle for Romney, but if he wins it, Obama is toast.

Really? Really? More than Cuban-Americans? Really?
Maybe “Evangelicals” because many of them are conservative democrats from the south, so that skews the polls.

The die was already cast in MAY, and it wasn’t a pretty one for Obama. To make it set up right takes a ground game to harden it and then make it into the tool of victory. These tools don’t last long any more, and that means that a landslide one election is a guarantee of nothing the next. Obama is finding this out now.

And Obama is all air now (in more ways than one). The longer this election goes the less chance there is of Obama winning. I find it a bit odd at the stark differences between 2008 and 2012. The media was talking about the campaign actually starting at the beginning of 2011 the last cycle because the 2008 campaign essentially started in 2007.

However now that Obama is getting beat everyone is saying “THERE’S STILL 5 MONTHS SETTLE DOWN!” Um, hey morons in the MSM you were the ones pushing for the 2 year campaign season, so you caused all of this. It’s sort of like what Ed said yesterday in the Adelson thread, just as Obama made his bed and is laying in it now in regard to campaign money, so too the media is doing with the campaign season. You idiots started this, so shut up.

Arab-Americans used to be one of the most reliable Republican constituencies till the Iraq war. Even more heavily Republican than Cuban-Americans or Evangelicals.

Source please? This article states that in a 2000 election Detroit News exit poll of 2000+ Muslims, 66% went for Gore and 30% went for Bush.

I know that Muslims and Arab-Americans are not fully congruent, but this is a Detroit News exit poll and Muslims in Detroit tend to be Arabs. I’d like to see some more data.
