Are they going to allow the Nathan’s 4th of July Hot Dog Eating Contest? Isn’t that sending the wrong message to our children? After all, it’s all about the children, you know.

As someone who has modified his behavior (and standards) through the use of beer goggles, I predict the effects will be fleeting (and remorseful).

Also, while a 10% reduction in quantity may help the average overweight Japanese with weight control, in obesity, like baseball, Japan is minor league. For the average overweight American, your going to need at least a 50% reduction in consumption to make a dent.
