Video: The greatest political ad ever?

Actually, I think it’s the second greatest. Nothing will ever top you-know-who, but this spot does involve a higher degree of difficulty: Namely, how do you hold a viewer’s interest through five long minutes of stump-speech blather by a soft-spoken South Dakota Democrat? The obvious answer — sight gags. If they were good enough to make Carrot Top a star, they’re good enough to make this guy a contender. Pure charm all the way through. Just make sure you vote for Kristi Noem in November regardless.

If this had been done in a single take, a la the club scene in “GoodFellas,” it really would be the greatest ad ever.
