Bad news: Obama campaign starting to think they might lose

posted at 8:01 pm on May 24, 2012 by Allahpundit

It’s amazing what a few competitive polls can do to concentrate the mind.

Democrats had taken comfort for months in the Republican Party’s seeming inability to get behind Mitt Romney, Obama’s healthy lead in the polls, and equally healthy job growth. And for a few, fleeting, moments, Democrats thought the election might just be easy. But Republican division appears to have been merely an artifact of primary politics, and Mitt Romney has proved a consistent, if unglamorous campaigner…

“There was this sense maybe a month or two ago that Obama was really riding high — that he had gotten his base behind him and the economy was doing better and it had this Clinton vs. Bob Dole 1996 feeling — that he was going to cruise,” said one 2008 Obama aide who does not work for this year’s campaign. “And now it feels like it’s going to be really tough — a 2004 race.”

Indeed the campaign is shaping up to be a close-combat battle for one percent of swing voters in a few hundred precincts across three or four states…

Moreover, a campaign that two months ago seemed infallible has proven to be very capable of making mistakes. Obama’s aides were taken aback when Vice President Joe Biden publicly backed same sex marriage — and spent a week punishing him for speaking out in the press. Long preparation for attacks on Romney’s time at Bain Capital, aimed at changing the narrative, nevertheless left them flat-footed when Republicans (and even a few Democrats) counter-attacked. Romney, who stumbled into the Republican nomination, scored his first tactical victory of the general election and further shored up the Republican base in the process.

Were there really any Democrats who thought Republicans wouldn’t unite behind Romney? Conservatives have spent three years lamenting every move the White House makes; when given a choice between Obama and Not Obama, there was never a scintilla of doubt how enthusiastic they’d be for the latter. And Romney’s big selling point, of course, was electability, so there was also never much reason for Democrats to think they’d win easily among the center. Their only strong hands against Mitt were O’s likability advantage, which might move votes at the margins but likely won’t be decisive, and the hope/prayer that a crude class-warfare campaign might get traction among working-class voters. No dice so far. They still might win — Romney’s political track record suggests he needs a big spending advantage to make him competitive and that’s not happening this time — but this is a national election in a 50/50 age after a rough first term economically. Go figure that the polls might narrow.

Karl Rove says a Romney win is as easy as 3-2-1:

After this initial hurdle, Mr. Romney’s victory road starts with “3″—as in Indiana, North Carolina and Virginia, a trio of historically Republican states. In 2008, Mr. Obama won by narrow margins in Indiana (barely 1%) and North Carolina (0.32%)…

[I]f Mr. Romney can put these states’ combined 39 electoral votes back into the GOP column, the Electoral College vote would be 319 for Mr. Obama, 219 for Mr. Romney…

Next up is “2″—as in Florida and Ohio. They flipped from Republican in 2004 to Democratic in 2008. Both were close—a 2.8% margin for Mr. Obama in the former and 4.6% in the latter…

These two states have a combined 47 electoral votes. If Mr. Romney wins them, the Electoral College would stand at 272 for Mr. Obama, 266 for Mr. Romney.

If he wins those five then all he needs is any one of the following: New Hampshire, Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Colorado, New Mexico, or Nevada, the last of which has a famously large Mormon population and, as Rove notes, the nation’s highest unemployment rate. I think Romney can win there given his advantages; I think he can win Florida too given how close it was last time and how well he did in the primary this time. (The bombshell Quinnipiac poll yesterday was surprising but not that surprising.) I’m less sure about Virginia and Ohio and so is Romney, I’d bet, which is why Rob Portman is quickly becoming a heavy favorite to land on the ticket. With him as VP, not only do you get a boost in Ohio and the reassurance of a seasoned and uncontroversial pol at number two, but maybe you’ll get just enough extra interest from his neighbors in western Pennsylvania to make that state a bit more competitive too. I don’t think Romney will bother with PA unless the polls start to look shockingly good for him, and even then they probably won’t look shockingly good unless something dramatic happens nationally and he seems on his way to a landslide. But Portman probably helps a little there and a little could mean a lot.

As a cherry on top of O’s anxiety sundae, here’s the Democrat who’s running to replace Gabby Giffords in Arizona politely declining to say whom he’ll be voting for in November.

Romney CAN win; Wisconsin is in play; Obama has big problems and the Democrats know it. Republicans have the enthusiasm this time–by FAR.

When Scott Walker gets more votes in the primary than both Democratic challengers–and Walker is running unopposed, so those voters didn’t even need to turn out!–then there is a message. When Scott Walker is expanding his lead against the Democrat, after all the money and show they put up, then it’s a message.

Since when do Democrats in red states show up at their voting precinct to CAST A VOTE AGAINST THEIR Democratic Presidential incumbent!??

That is happening in a whole lotta states–20-40% of Democrats are engaging in an “organic primary challenge” to Obama, acc. to Sean Trende from RCP, who I think makes some good observations [I did read Judis and Texeira's book years ago]:

Now, no one expects West Virginia, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Kentucky to be a part of Obama’s coalition this fall. But lots of people are looking at Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and North Carolina. These states are where this primary weakness becomes potentially significant.

All four of those states have substantial populations in areas geographically and culturally similar to these “problem areas”: southwestern Pennsylvania, western Virginia and North Carolina, and southeastern Ohio. In all of these states, Obama’s path to victory is to hold down his losses in rural areas, and then maximize his vote among upscale and minority voters in urban areas.

In 2008 this strategy worked well, in large part because the financial collapse produced a large turnaround in the voting preferences of whites without college degrees. He still performed relatively poorly for a Democrat among these voters, but his margins were enough to enable him to capture these four states. If he’s facing a virtual rebellion among rural white Democrats (and presumably a similar problem with independents) this time around, his odds of capturing these four states diminish appreciably. Once again, this isn’t to say that he will necessarily lose, just that his path to re-election narrows if Romney is racking up big wins in the 11th District of North Carolina, or in the old 6th District of Ohio.

PA’s in play…I’ll be voting there again

But my brother in law saw how the conservatives were weeded out mostly. He made sure that his conservatives he rated rated poorly as did his liberal friends. This is a new thing in the Military started by GW Bush.

As I have been saying this is a well laid out plan. GW Bush was a big part of it as he was free in his second term. I am not saying these people conspire with each other. No not at all they just listen to Satan he is the one with the plan. He deceives every single one of us just some more than others. This is a fight of GOD vs Satan. We demean it by calling it Right vs Left.

Obama is Satanic just as bad as Hitler in my opinion. An Anti-Christ like many others before them the Popes throughout the Dark Ages for example. But he is far to stupid to be the Anti-Christ people think of from the bible. Not successful enough either.

Steveangell on May 24, 2012 at 10:18 PM

Your anecdotal fairy tales could not be further from the truth. Military leadership remains staunchly conservative and that bias increases with rank. It is dangerous to fabricate proclamations in the agent of the internet when it is so easy for someone to find research that completely debunks your nonsense.

Immolate on May 24, 2012 at 11:15 PM

With a Republican Governor, state House, state Senate, and Senator, in addition to a Senate election in 2012 against a particularly weak Democrat incumbent, PA will easily be in play considering how many advocates Romney will have.

There is one adage in politics that stays true. Your candidate never wins an election only their opponent can lose. At the moment Obama is losing quit regularly and the bad news is yet to come, fast and furious, health care and the constant remaking of himself to the point that no one knows who he really is.

With that said there is something that Obama can do. It will take only about 20 min. Will increase revenues both local and national , boost the economy, increase school revenues and cost nothing.

The housing market in the last few years has been laced with illegal or unethical operators. Flipping houses with easy money creating values that could not be maintained, supported by crooked underwriters and appraisers that just feed the problem. When it all broke down who took the fall? Not them but the home owner who now can not get a mortgage because they were in default. To win in fall all Obama has to do is by executive order suspense the part of loan evaluation dependent on the prior foreclose during the time of the housing bubble and let the application stand on its own merits. Think for a minute of the results.

The economy is the urgent issue in the upcoming election but is is a symptom and the result of the underlying problem of totalitarian take over of our freedoms by the “boot on your throat” communist Dimocrats!! The oppressive tax and spend policies as well as the almost total regulation of our major industries is destroying the spirit of freedom loving Americans. Americans want and need freedom to prosper and thrive! Romney et. al. should hammer this point every day since it is the paramount issue of our lifetime! He should research President Reagan’s eloquent defense of freedom and mention it every time he speaks!! Our forefathers fought and died for our freedoms and Obama only criticizes, condemns, and accuses the citizens and great institutions of this great country!! Remember in November!!

drunyan8315 on May 25, 2012 at 7:42 AM

Obama campaigned (and is doing so again because this is all he knows) on “social issues” and agitating resentment.

He’s never campaigned on (nor understands, obviously), in layman’s terms, “how to run things” in a business model, he only knows how to complain and act cute, to flirt with other people and to worm resources from them that he then exploits for personal pleasure and doles out as if it was his own (which isn’t Capitalism but it is Marxism, living off other people).

For a while, flirting and being cute and complaining all at the same time got Obama what he wanted: other people’s resources including their votes (for him) and, of course, their money (and his lavish lifestyle that he seems to think he deserves).

But push to shove, he now doesn’t understand how to actually do work, how to get a job done except by being cool or looking cool and flirting and Being Obama. That only goes so far — which is, not very far — when you have to produce results that are measured in quantified terms.

Obama doesn’t know how to DO work because he’s never in his life actually DONE work. Indeed, the last 3+ years represent the only time in his life he’s ever HAD to do any and it pisses him off, it’s easy to tell. “Democrats had taken comfort for months in the Republican Party’s seeming inability to get behind Mitt Romney, Obama’s healthy lead in the polls, and equally healthy job growth.”

Hmmm- it appears democrats were suffering from a mass delusion of titanic proportions.

Of course there was a “seeming disability” to get behind Romney- there are these things called “primaries” where different candidates make their case for being the nominee for their party. The Republicans were just having a bunch of them, and Romney was one of many candidates.

I knew lefties had the attention span of newborn sewer rats, but did they really forget how primaries worked? Yeah, and they’re the smart ones….okay.

It’s easy to have a “healthy” lead with the ridiculously oversampled dumbocrats and insanely undersampled Reps. Reality based community- riiiiiight.

“..and equally healthy job growth”

This last bit is just demented. There is NO job growth, let alone “healthy” job growth.

The only reason the completely fake unemployment number is anywhere near 8% is because the head prevaricators have eliminated millions from the denominator of the unemployment equation.

Check U6 unemployment…it’s about 15% last I checked, or almost double what the pencil necked weasels in the dumbocrat party are alleging the figure to be.

volsense on May 25, 2012 at 9:07 AM

Were there really any Democrats who thought Republicans wouldn’t unite behind Romney?

Go back and review the crap that was said, both by you and others on this site, then ask yourself that question again.

The editorialism went well beyond so-called screening. It waded into your own lamenting of how Romney could not win and all the sundry reasons. There was also an element that pondered how Republicans would not turn out for Romney and of course my favorite- anyone daring to support Romney was somehow a “bot”. Insults often substituted for real debate.

Now looking back, is it any small wonder Democrats thought this would be a cake-walk? Apparently you even had them convinced.

The polls are turning because Romney is none of the derogatory things people claimed he was. Obama trying to substitute personal, meaningless attack have only reinforced his own ineffectiveness and clearly shown he will do anything to distract from his record- which is terrible.

People want to get back to work. They want to see a stable future for their children. They want to do better financially- even, dare I say, one day become rich. They want an end to an overreaching, divided government that has intruded in their lives way too much and does nothing it is designed to do. They want an end to one-man’s and one-parties vision of what America should be and a return to a shared, positive, capitalist society built on family values and hard-work. They want an end to the divisive talk and unqualified partisans running our government who have used it to build monuments to themselves and substituted rhetoric for substantive, meaningful action.

Yes, Democrats time in the sun is almost over. And now they see it is at least possible. I hope it keeps them up at night. Because for the last several years, it’s obvious they have kept us up worrying about the future. It’s about time to turn the tables.

I agree. I’m not familiar with anything he’s written that’s “anti Romney” BUT if that’s the definition of what a “troll” is here, there are many people who far easier qualify as “trolls” even now, and certainly over the past few years.

Now that the Right is getting it that we have to coalesce to win if not also to survive, the anti-Romney sentiments are less frequent (that’s good) but not supporting Romney isn’t cause to be “not Conservative”, just to be clear. Not pulling along at this rate, perhaps, but not “not Conservative.”

In VA Obama can’t find anyone who wants to campaign with him. Plus the D’s lost big in 2009, ’10 and ’11 at all levels of government. The State budget is balanced, running a minor surplus, even.

Then there are two areas of natural resources that Obama has hit here: uranium mining and off-shore exploratory drilling. One is a bankable resource held up by environuts, the other is just part of what is happening by Obama with off-shore drilling. Those are potential jobs and could be real jobs by getting rid of EPA and Dept. of Interior obstructionism.

How VA still gets put into the Obama column or even a toss-up is beyond me. Running on what you want to do, doing it and getting good results is sure beating the good-feelings, high deficits and high taxes promised and then not delivering the goods. There is even a weeding out of unnecessary State regulations and the chance that the state alcoholic beverage control stores may go the way of the Dodo… and we have a couple of major chains ready to start delivering the goods when that happens.

Fewer regulations, lower taxes, balanced budgets, and more personal freedom by getting rid of archaic laws. You don’t need the governor of VA on the ticket to carry VA: just promise to get rid of the horrific regulations and the schemers running them so the State level can take more control over its own resources. Do all the cutting of the federal government you want, and with good natural resources jobs and the supply chains for them expanding, there will be no net loss in jobs and possibly even a net gain over four years.

I should think that outside of Philly most of PA is feeling just about the same right now.

Don’t cut the regulatory tentacles back: cut them off and cauterize the stumps so they don’t grow back two-fold.

In 2012, there is no fresh face, who cares about this historical white-black racial thing and for sure the ondependent voters are no longer hypnotized and hyper enthousiastic.

Wethal on May 24, 2012 at 9:00 PM

Yes, until an election were held at any rate, or the House choose a President. Without an election neither Obama nor Biden can serve past the end of their current term.

Keep in mind that in any event in which an election fails to produce a winner with 270 electoral votes, it falls to the House of Representatives to elect the President.

If the executive branch FAILED to even hold an election, it could be said that since NO ONE got 270 electoral votes the House of Representatives (which is and will almost certainly remain overwhelmingly conservative) would choose the next President.

wildcat72 on May 24, 2012 at 9:08 PM

There’s always the option of declaring martial law, but I think it amounts to the same thing as trying to cancel an election. Either way would probably lead to a true civil war.

Technically, the War Between the States was not a true civil war in that the southern states were trying to leave the union, not trying to overthrow the government of the union.

Mitt Romney is a lousy candidate but the election is all about Obama. Romney matters very little.

Because of his lack of support among white voters, there is little chance that Obama will earn more than 50% of the popular vote.

Here is my prediction:

Obama 48.5%

Romney 46.5%

3rd party 5.0%

Obama wins like Bush 43 won in 2004 over Kerry, something like 286 electoral votes to 252, although it could be as close as 272 EV to 266 EV.

technopeasant on May 24, 2012 at 9:35 PM

I think it’s too soon to predict numbers, but your basic scenario sounds about right. The lack of enthusiasm for Romney is very real, but I think Obama’s support is even weaker. I’d guess that Romney barely wins a plurality, and the 3rd party vote is unusually high. The electoral vote is probably more decisive, though.

And the big news story will be Romney’s “unexpected coattails” because conservatives win big in the House and Senate. That is, the news media would think Congress went Republican because of Romney, when the real reason for conservative turnout is to prevent Romney from channeling his inner liberal.

‘My predictions’

It is not hard to predict what leftists, Marxists and Communists will do. They use the same old commie playbook that has been around for years. All it takes is the courage to admit the truth, and see what is clearly in front of you.

Jesus often said to those He was speaking to, “those who have ears to hear, let them hear…”

Everyone there had ears on their head, so obviously some choose not to hear the truth, some choose to dismiss the truth, and others, because of brainwashing or propaganda, did not have the ability to hear the truth.

1. The race card will be played early and often. Our comrade president and his cronies will work hard to convince every person of color in the USA that white folks hate them. This will be the most racial election in history, and not because of those on the right. The true racists and bigots in this country today reside in the Democrat Party. They feed on race hatred, they eat it like candy. They are the folks that examine everything through the prism of race.

2. The ObamaMedia will go even further down the propaganda hell hole than they have gone before. You may think the media could not be any more in the tank for Obama than they have been, but, trust me, it is going to get worse. They will cover-up mistakes, they will smear opponents, they will make stuff up and flat out lie to protect Obama.

3. Since 1975, there have been well over NINE THOUSAND reports of union violence. Unions have much at stake, and since many of them were paid off handsomely with the stimulus Democrat slush fund nonsense, they know the gravy train will be over if the Marxists are not re-elected. Expect more union thuggery and violence, a lot more. One of Comrade Obama’s main Communist allies, Jimmy Hoffa, Jr., on Labor day, called on union thugs to “take the SOB’s out”.

(Oh, by the way, the regime has published new rules for employment agencies. In these new rules, every employment agency will have to supply the feds (Obama) with the names, addresses and phone numbers, of any persons they send to work at any business that is having a dispute with the thug unions.

That way, union terrorists will have the means to know where you are). The media will not report or they will grossly under-report the increase in union violence. They will accuse TEA Party Patriots of violence when none occurs, but real union thuggery will go unreported.

4. Attacks on the producers and the wealthy in America will continue to escalate. This administration treats wealthy folks much like Hitler treated the Jews, and really, for the same reason. The Obama administration needs the producers money, much like Hitler needed the money that the Jews had. It is Liberal government greed that is running wild.

One of the great Liberal lies is that the rich persecute the poor, when in fact, it is the poor that persecute the rich.

5. Smears and lies against Republican women will escalate.

Conservative women will be slandered, smeared, investigated, lied about, and their families attacked. Ask Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachmann, Meg Whitman or Christine O’Donnell. The accomplishments of these fine women will not be reported, and lies will be reported as fact.

6. Television networks will start playing more and more movies or programs that demonizes business. Expect more programs that show men (especially white men) in a bad light, and programs that degrade Christianity.

Along with that will come programing intended to show that the poor little ol’ Muslims are just misunderstood, and driven to their hatred by evil white men in America.

7. Government agencies, controlled by installed leftists, will begin to lie, even more than they are now, to make it appear that the Socialist agenda is working. They will lie about unemployment numbers. They will lie about economic numbers. They will lie about their waste and fraud.

8. Democrats will continue to lie about the true effects of ObamaCare on Seniors, and will demonize those Conservatives that truly want to repair the Ponzi scheme that is Social Security. Some seniors will be used as props, as reporters, in the tank for Obama, film seniors crying big tears, claiming that they are afraid Republicans are going to starve them or make them eat dog food.

9. The Obama inJustice Department will begin investigations on law abiding groups that oppose Dear Leader. Patriotic groups that speak out against the job murdering policies of this regime, will face harrassment and investigations aimed at shutting them up.

10. The Obama regime and their allies will ratchet up the voter fraud.

More dead Democrats than ever will vote.

There were incredible amounts of Democrat voter fraud in the last election (the last dozen elections really). More people voted for Democrats in Detroit than live there.

Of course, this voter fraud was not investigated or dealt with because Democrats need voter fraud to survive. Democrats will work to see that as many illegals as possible vote.

(Illegals got Harry Reid re-elected in a State where the Reid-Pelosi-Obama policies devastated the economy)

11. Radical leftists will take to the streets to do violence and property damage and disrupt normal business. The media will lie and claim that the TEA Party is to blame for the violence.

12. Voter intimidation will rise dramatically in the black community. Many black Americans, who are now waking up to the devastation that Democrats have levied against them with misguided policies, will be in danger of real harm if they stand against Comrade Obama.

13. Homosexuality and deviancy will be promoted like you have never seen before. Homosexuals will be prompted to make phony charges of discrimination and hate crimes.

14. The leftist propaganda in higher education will increase ten fold. Don’t be surprised if your son or daughter is pounded with even more liberal lies instead of honest instruction. Your child will sign up for a class to study German, and instead, will be peppered with anti-American propaganda.

15. The IRS will be unleashed, even more than they are now, to hammer away at businesses, or individuals, that stand against, or fail to contribute to, the Obama regime. Much like the MOB operated, the IRS, or other government agencies will work to destroy opponents. Remember, liberals can never win in the arena of ideas so they have to cheat.

I can make these predictions with confidence because Liberals have nothing new.

Marxism is not new. Government abuse is not new.

Our Constitution was working fabulously, until liberalism crept into our society and began to eat away at our foundations like termites.

When comrade Obama was anointed the savior of the Earth and oceans, etc., I wrote, in frank terms, about the impending disaster that would come with Marxists in power.

Some cried that I was too harsh, and yet 4 years later, I was right about Obama and what his policies and hatred of America would do to this country.

I said he was a Marxist, and I think that has been fairly well established now to all but the most rabid leftists.

I fully expect that some kool-aid drinkers will challenge my statement that Obama hates this country.

They will say he loves America.

Well, just about every wife beater out there claims that he loves the woman he is punching in the face.

Yet, it matters not what the wife beater says, as actions speak louder than words.

Can Obama win re-election? You bet your mule he can.!

I wish I could predict the outcome of the election, but a growing number of Americans appear to love Socialism, and many liberals have such a hatred of America, that they will be glad to go to Hell, just as long as they can take America with them.

We conservatives have better take this next election seriously.

Unless you enjoy economic slavery, radial Earth worship and social deviancy,

we had better look soberly at what is happening.

And Liberals, don’t worry if your messiah is defeated.

He’ll be around for years, living fat on taxpayer cash, to do his best to bring down America. Or, since Hugo Chavez is reported to be in bad health, Obama could fit right in as Chavez’s replacement.

HAWAII VERIFIES OBAMA A DUAL CITIZEN: NOT QUALIFIED FOR PRESIDENCY!!

Published May 25, 2012 2012 Election , Action , America , Arizona , Article II Eligibility , Article II Superpac , Birth Certificate , constitution , Counterfeit , Criminal , forgery , fraud , obama , Presidency , usurper

Hawaii verified two things that are fatal to Obama’s qualifications for the presidency: first, he has a foreign father who was never an American; second, Obama is a dual citizen.

Arizona Secretary of State Ken Bennett’s Milquetoast email request for Hawaii to confirm the ‘information on Obama’s birth in Hawaii, and to accept an email response, got him what he, the republicans, and Obama wanted: another false ‘official’ statement from Hawaii’s Department of Heath (HDOH) supposedly validating Obama’s birth in Hawaii. Ah, more ‘stuff’ that they can hide behind, claiming ‘due diligence’ has been done.

Hoping to put an end to the story, those pesky ballot challenges and Sheriffs, Hawaii and the AZ SoS perpetuate the myth and meme of ‘born in the USA”, or “American citizen”–as the only qualifying factor for President– to deceive the voting public. The Hawaii release did not authenticate Obama’s 2011 electronic version of the Birth Certificate, leaving Sheriff Arpaio’s investigation in tact and relevant. Hawaii also did not verify anything about Obama’s adoption.

What no one expected was to have Barack Obama’s dual citizenship confirmed, again, by listing the name and birthplace of the father Barack Obama Senior and Kenya, East Africa (lots of name changes there since the 2008 short form). Barack Obama junior was born a dual citizen of Britain and the United States. The failure for Mr. Obama is that once born a British citizen, one cannot lose that citizenship unless it is specifically renounced. His Kenyan citizenship may have expired unless he claimed it in 1983-but not his original British bonafides.

Article II Section 1 Clause 5 of the Constitution requires the president to be either in either one of two citizenship categories:

a ‘natural born citizen’, or
a ‘citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of this Constitution’:
No person except a natural born Citizen, or a Citizen of the United States, at the time of the Adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the Office of President; neither shall any Person be eligible to that Office who shall not have attained to the Age of thirty-five Years, and been fourteen Years a Resident within the United States.

Solid Constitutional, legal, and historic information support the definition of natural born citizen that must be used until the United States Supreme Court says differently. A natural born citizen is born in the United States of parents who are American citizens. Not a single parent; not the mother or the father, but both parents.

Obama has a foreign father thus fails the two-citizen parent test.

You have to be ‘natural born’ or, a ‘citizen at the time of the adoption of this Constitution’. The Constitution does not add that category dual citizen as eligible for the Presidency. Nothing in any further legislation or amendment makes the Presidency open to being filled by a ‘naturalized’ American citizen.

The bottom line is that even if you think there is ambiguity in the definition of ‘natural born citizen’, there is NO AMBIGUITY that a dual citizen cannot be president or vice president of the United States.

Bennett’s Mistake is an Opening

Bennett makes his first mistake by asking only if Obama was born in Hawaii. In doing so, Bennett actually takes it upon himself to define natural born citizen as ‘born in the USA” in contrast to 200 years of Constitutional law and Supreme Court case law in the United States. Furthermore, by ignoring the citizenship of Barack Obama’s father and Obama’s resulting dual citizenship, Bennett is unlawfully expanding the definition of natural born citizen to include dual citizens. As the State’s top election official, he has no authority to change the definition of natural born citizen nor to expand the classes of citizens qualified to hold the office.

After informing Secretary Bennett of Mr. Obama’s statement admitting the British Nationality Act governs his citizenship, the next series of questions for Secretary Bennett could include:

Does the Constitution permit a dual citizen to hold the office of President?
Does the Constitution permit a ‘naturalized’ citizen to hold the office of President?
Has Barack Obama renounced his dual citizenship with Britain?
Does Barack Obama’s known adoption by an Indonesian affect his existing dual citizenship?
Has Barack Obama naturalized as an American citizen?
These are questions Secretary Bennett should forward to the Attorney General. An honest investigation will find that unless the Constitution is formally amended or the Supreme Court rules on these questions, Mr. Obama cannot qualify for Arizona’s ballot.

(update) This information, coupled with his publicist’s printing of his biography raises significant doubt as to the legal validity or wisdom of placing Barack Obama on the ballot. After all is said and done, this is misprision of felony!

Let this be the due diligence Arizonan’s require and their public servants provide. Let this effort lock him out of our White House forever!

His ability to parry and use syllogism when outnumbered is fairly adroit. He certainly stimulates blood flow and that is the purpose of debate. Management here are very wise to allow the man to participate.

Obama will start a war with Iran just in time for the election.
Biden is telling new cadets to get ready for new threats and Leon Pannetta is saying we can stop Iran by defending ourselves.

The Narcissist-In-Chief will do anything, absolutely anything to get re-elected. If it gets our soldiers killed as well as countless civilians in Iran and Israel, well that’s the price we have to pay for not supporting Obama. We’ll have to support him when war comes.
