Video: Who wants to cast a non-citizen’s ballot?

posted at 4:01 pm on May 15, 2012 by Allahpundit

A video triptych from James O’Keefe and Project Veritas. His last two vids showed how easy it is to obtain a ballot in someone else’s name. This one takes the logical next step of wondering how many of those ballots shouldn’t be there in the first place. Three segments: Non-citizen voting, bias among election officials, and finally liberal spin about the alleged nonexistence of voter fraud. Pay particular attention to the first because it’s not an isolated problem.

Florida election authorities are examining about 180,000 people who they say may not be U.S. citizens but are registered to vote in the state, an official said on Friday…

Florida’s Division of Elections said it is checking the citizenship of voters by comparing its databases with those of the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, which keeps track of whether a licensed driver is also a U.S. citizen…

Officials in Florida have so far identified more than 2,600 potential voters who may not be U.S. citizens and sent their information to local election authorities, Cate said.

A few thousand votes would never matter in a state as big as Florida, right? Serious question: How do O’Keefe’s cohorts keep a straight face when they’re wearing those costumes? I cracked up at the sight of the guy in lederhosen; I’d bet at least one sting operation had to be left on the cutting-room floor when the stinger simply dissolved in laughter at the absurdity of his get-up.

My mother in law works at one of the polling places in Wake County. I’m glad that it wasn’t her in the videos. She’s just a little Grandma that does what she’s told.

And what may I ask is being done about this? ACORN was shut down(sort of) thanks to O’Keefe’s undercover work, but it seems like every single person or organization he’s exposed since then has suffered no repercussions whatsoever.

It’s the ‘found’ ballots in someones car trunk in a tight race that needs to be looked at, very carefully?

ACORN was just inconvenienced and renamed.

Except for that Mary Landrieu nonsense, O’Keefe does great work in any case.

I certainly couldn’t have filmed it, I’d be giggling hysterically.

I just got done voting, and I was asked for an ID first. Is this just an Idaho thing (well, yeah, and AZ with a couple others)? I was asked for one last time too, and I live in a city of only 500 ppl, and I knew all the election officials, and 2 of them know me personally (lol…one hates me as her husband made a pass at me once).

Just curious as to why Holder hasn’t tried to come after this state.

sage0925 on May 15, 2012 at 4:16 PM

Multiply that film times tens of thousands. They are the minority of thought in this countries. Their ideology and policies are nothing but repeats of a century’s worth of warmed over failures. All cost us wealth, some cost lives in the millions. They have no way to win other than to cheat.

Repulsive.

Rixon on May 15, 2012 at 4:17 PM

James O’Keefe quality, at least.

I have a friend who is getting his PhD and he told me his mother sent him his voter card from his home state that was sent to her address, but he has also been registered at his college address. He somehow managed to accidentally double-register to vote.

Doughboy on May 15, 2012 at 4:10 PM

What’s being done:

1. Dems continue to lie and say there is no problem.
2. Prosecute O’Keefe.
3. Persecute O’Keefe in the media.

In NH we are at least trying to pass some regs stopping the Zombies from voting, but it is difficult. They have a powerful lobby, those dead people do.

dogsoldier on May 15, 2012 at 4:18 PM

Oops – on second look, that is O’Keefe. Naturally.

Check out the NC election judge at around the 7:30 mark. He only “mostly” supports the state constitution now that it has been amended to preclude same sex couples from getting married. He also fantasizes about Scalia and Thomas getting run over by a truck.

Kataklysmic on May 15, 2012 at 4:25 PM

Liberals object to voter ID on behalf of dead people for two reasons. First, it’s too difficult for them to get to a central location to be photographed. Second, it’s very difficult provide voting officials with a birth certificate when the officials can’t get past the existence of a death certificate.

BuckeyeSam on May 15, 2012 at 4:27 PM

Here is a link to donate to O’Keefe’s Project Veritas. He needs our support.

Time for someone to be fired. In the alternative, put the guy to work some place where he can’t affect an election.

I liked the rainbow arrow. Neato.
Run over Scalia and Thomas, huh? Why, because you would need a Mack truck to run over Sotomayor and Kagan? Or is it because they uphold the constitution?
Like everything else, libs lie and our sacred right to vote dies.

Speaking of get ups, don’t ever forget O’Keefe in that Huggy-Bear get up that he wore while taking down ACORN.

How stupid are these people?

BuckeyeSam on May 15, 2012 at 4:40 PM

There are so many illegals in CA on the voting rolls…

… The Democrats are telling them to vote for Gov. Brown’s tax increases.

They are selling it by telling them without the tax increases, all the “free” money, housing, schools, and healthcare will be cut off…

… but don’t worry, only the stupid gringos will be the one’s paying the taxes.

Is this a great Country…

… or what?

Seven Percent Solution on May 15, 2012 at 4:42 PM

The lunatic-left d-cRAT socialists absolutely, positively need and want MASSIVE VOTER FRAUD to get their clowns into office – especially their chief clown OBOZO – and they don’t even care who commits the fraud: ACORN, unions, dead people, ILLEGALS, convicted felons, destitute people who will vote-for-cash-or-booze, etc. The socialists are particularly focused on states that do not protect the right to vote with a voter ID requirement and/or have same day registration, as that makes it extremely easy for them to commit massive fraud at the polls and distort the results in their favor. These d-cRAT losers realize than no sane American will be duped again by their lies, failed policies and radical anti-American ideology, and in Nov 2012 American citizens will vote to remove each and every one of the d-cRAT socialist extremists that have worked to destroy our economy and our country.

The “non-citizens” ended up actually being naturalized citizens and O’Keefe still shows that the only voter fraud is fraud he commits. Anyone with a head on their shoulders could cause violent chaos if they wanted to, but it doesn’t mean that they will.

Rainsford on May 15, 2012 at 6:23 PM

The only remotely bright spot in this is that given the probable bias of the apparently fraudulent voters in Florida, Bush probably won by a lot more votes than it appeared, so it was a more decisive victory and failing to recount the votes is not likely to have changed what the real outcome. Not so good about Franken though.

tl;dr version:

I like Obama, therefore cheating not cheating. BTW Bush cheated in Florida. In Soviet Russia, point miss you.

WeekendAtBernankes on May 15, 2012 at 7:15 PM

Evidently cheating is OK if it’s a Democrat doing it.

Badger40 on May 15, 2012 at 7:58 PM

Citizens in Ecuador are required to vote in order to receive an important state benefit. A benefit, say, like that citizen’s share of the state-owned oil profit.
Of course, they are desperate for the income since all their money was taken by the state. Yes, confiscated with the promise that the state would take care of them henceforth.

Rainsford on May 15, 2012 at 6:23 PM

Oh, I get it!!! It’s not what you actually are, it’s who you want to be!!!

So…..if I want to be a millionaire, I don’t need to wait until I actually AM a millionaire: I can have all of the benefits now…because I’m working toward it!! But since I want to be a millionaire, there should be NO PROBLEM if I withdraw a couple hundred thousand bucks right now to tide me over!!!

…And the next time I’m stopped for speeding, I’ll just tell the cop that I want to be a Congressman…and that I’m going to use my Congressional immunity to get out of the ticket right now!! Or, if I feel like I want to be police chief, I’ll simply order the cop to tear up the ticket and order him to return to the station!

Liberalism makes everything so easy!!!

Hmm, there seems to be several minutes missing in the tapes (watch the clock). I would never suspect selective editing in an O’keefe piece now…but…nah. I guess Breitbart taught him well, huh?
My favorite is the Abbie Boudreau porn video!
Classic O’Keefe! It’s only a matter of time until Mr. O’Keefe ends up in the slammer (again).
Regardless, voter fraud is a HUGE problem. In fact, in Wisconsin during the 2004 elections it was discovered that .0002% of votes cast (a total of seven!) were fraudulent.
Obviously this must be stopped.
