Video: Bold new critic of raising taxes on the rich emerges

posted at 6:55 pm on May 14, 2012 by Allahpundit

To cleanse the palate. Actually, he’s not against raising taxes on the rich, which explains why this clip is circulating on lefty blogs today. What he’s against is raising taxes on the rich a lot. As are, apparently, a lot of wealthy French soon-to-be expatriates. It’s hard to make out the first part of what he says, but stick with it. The payoff comes at around 1:20.

Don’t worry, it’ll never happen here. And if it does, hey — there’s always Singapore!

he really doesn’t need to tell us that he didn’t go to college. Its obvious. I’d be surprised if he even finished HS. DD

I think only a Communist would want 75 percent of their taxes to go the government. Uh good know that Will Smith isn’t a full blown Communist?

None of them want to pay 75% of *their* income in taxes – just *yours*.

*They* are the elite – under communism/socialism, the elite still seem to be wealthy, live extravagant lives, never suffer for want of food or anything else, etc.

The elite, under socialism/communism, (as well as the party insiders here) are those folks who get to be both- the umpires and the bookies, which explains their aggressive attempt to control all the player (for the good of the children er…the players, of course)

I wish I had better speakers on my computer, because I do understand French.

But Will Smith is not the first Democrat to find 70% taxes too high–so did John F. Kennedy.

Les Francais riches vont voter avec leur pieds. (Rich Frenchmen will vote with their feet).

Welcome to Paris, Greece.
