Bill Ayers to students: Join me and help drive NATO out of Chicago on May 20

posted at 12:01 pm on May 8, 2012 by Morgen Richmond

I posted a clip early last week from this same event at the University of Oregon where Bill Ayers talked about the decline of America as a “good thing”. In this latest clip Ayers appeals to the students in attendance to join him in his very next course of action towards achieving this end. I wonder if he got many takers? (Skip ahead to after 2:00 if you just want to hear the headlined bit)

If I have this straight, Bill Ayers is facing off against Rahm Emanuel in Chicago, in an attempt to disrupt an elite meeting of the world’s premier military alliance led by Barack Obama. It’s like the liberal Legion of Doom in a Bizarro World episode. The only obvious thing to root for is that no one gets hurt, and fortunately any talk of “action” from Bill Ayers doesn’t pose quite the same threat as it once did. But just in case Mayor Emanuel seems ready:

The city’s Office of Emergency Management and Communications on Monday announced that Chicago is the site of a military training exercise this week involving personnel and at least three helicopters.

But the bland press release from City Hall did nothing to prepare folks for the jarring scene that unfolded Monday evening.

“It was frightening,” Jessica Hill said. “I was definitely alarmed.”

At least three Blackhawk helicopters flying at time in close order formation – at other times separating fairly widely – zoomed around office and residential towers for several hours.

“I was pretty amazed,” Felise Llano said, “because they were definitely military.”

Witnesses described three to four very heavily armed men in each chopper. Several said some of the men appeared to be tethered and were at times literally hanging out of the choppers, and looked ready to jump.

Yeah this is unlikely to end well for the protesters, although the Chicago police are cordoning off so much of the city that Ayers and his mob may not be able to get arrested even if they try. Ultimately this all seems more than a little pathetic. With most of the Bush anti-war left exposed as the hypocrites they are under President Obama, Ayers has been left with no other option but to try to rally the occupy movement in support of this cause. Occupy is mostly drawn from the same crowd so I’m sure they will be game. And if there is any violence next week more likely than not it will be the anarchists from occupy instigating it. But now you know who will be pulling the strings.

Actually my favorite part of this clip comes right at very beginning when Ayers says: “the opposite of moral is not immoral, the opposite of moral is indifference“. This is the underlying liberal belief system in a nutshell isn’t it? There is no objective good or evil, or right or wrong. The only real sin is not to care and so long as you are motivated by this conviction then any action is justifiable. Even bombing buildings, apparently. This is a deeply narcissistic and corrupting world view, and it’s really a shame that Ayers is still considered a respectable figure within some education and academic circles.

Pretty much sums up liberal actions and ideology. One doesn’t defeat this ideology with RINO flip flopping compromising Republicanism.

Comrades, let’s start a Prairie Fire.

PRAIRIE FIRE is written to communist-minded people, independent organizers and anti-imperialists; those who carry the traditions and lessons of the struggles of the last decade, those who join in the struggles of today.

PRAIRIE FIRE is written to all sisters and brothers who are
engaged in armed struggle against the enemy.

It is written to prisoners, women’s groups, collectives, study groups, workers’ organizing committees, communes, GI organizers, consciousness-raising groups, veterans, community
groups and revolutionaries of all kinds; to all who will read, criticize and bring its content to life in practice.

It is written as an argument against those who oppose action and hold back the struggle.

PRAIRIE FIRE is based on a belief that the duty of a revolutionary is to make the revolution. This is not an abstraction. It means that revolutionaries must make a profound commitment to the future of humanity, apply our limited knowledge and experience to understand an ever-changing situation, organize the masses of people and build the fight. It means that struggle and risk and hard work and adversity will become a way of life, that the only certainty will be constant change, that the only possibilities are victory or death.

We have only begun. At this time, the unity and consolidation of anti-imperialist forces around a revolutionary program is an urgent and pressing strategic necessity. PRAIRIE FIRE is offered as a contribution to this unity of action and purpose. Now it is in your hands.

Actually, when Ayers (*spit*) says the opposite of morality is indifference, he means there is only one morality: His so-called morality.

This is of a piece with liberals/leftists being certain that they define morality. If they think it, it’s the right thing to think. They simply can’t open their feeble brains enough to see that maybe their view on everything isn’t the only arguable stance to take.

Everything they do and think defines (exclusively) what is right and good. Because – and I truly believe this – apparently liberals/leftists want more than anything else on earth to be better than everyone else on earth.

Chicago office workers told what not to wear during the NATO summit

Workers at some Chicago office towers are being encouraged to dress down to avoid being targeted by protesters during the meeting of world leaders May 20 and 21. Safety procedures in some high-rises include the recommendation that employees set aside suits, ties and anything with corporate logos.

Tenants in the office building at 1 E. Wacker Drive received a memo encouraging them to stay away from wearing suits, urging workers to “look like a protester.” A spokeswoman for Los Angeles-based CBRE Inc., which manages the building, declined to comment on any NATO security measures.

I believe their socialist/marxist/communist agenda is to
spread chaos so the big daddy government can pick up the pieces
and influence more harm on society and this country.

I also believe that NATO coming to Chicago is no accident. It
was orchestrated so the whack job liberals in Chicago could
influence mass chaos. They are looking to mimic the Chicago riots in 1968(I think that was the year)and/or Kent State.

What I haven’t determined is whether Rahm, mayor of Chicago,
former employee of Obama in Washington, is in on it. Did Obama
and his minions plant him in Chicago or did he flee to Chicago
in order to get away from the nutjobs in Washington?

Anyone have an info or ideas?

I suspect that instead of a Glorious Death where he becomes a martyr for the cause, old Ayers will die alone in bed from some sort of overdose. Probably Nyquil or something stupid like that.

But die he will, like a rat in a cage, raging against the machine!

Lily on May 8, 2012 at 12:39 PM

The real fact is that a trained man with a heavy caliber scoped rifle and math ability could have downed one of those Helicopters and forced the others to flee.

So this is another distraction meme from Obama. By appearing to try to “counter” Obama, Ayers builds the case that he is against Obama, therefore Obama is on the side of sane Americans. Always remember that Ayers started O-holes political career in his house and may have ghost written his books.

The Military show is just to frighten, to see how intimidated Americans can be by Military equipment. Whether it is a test for an outright seizure of power or for mere intimidation of the White irritants we shall see. Remember, O-hole can always done strike any Conservative “counter-insurgency” personnel without due process, and Holder (who learned at the feet of Janet Reno, will grin when he pulls the trigger while “Big Sis” will tell us how it is all in our best interest. Think Waco without the happy ending.

O-hole is all about public displays or as Rush might say, teachable moments.

There aren’t really elections in Chicago. They put on a show to make it appear there is an election, but most of the time the winner is a foregone conclusion and the other candidates are just jockeying for lucrative appointments or payola of some kind. “the opposite of moral is not immoral, the opposite of moral is indifference“

And to further this point, one could argue that the indifference this country showed to the likes of Ayers, Dohrn, and so forth in the wake of Vietnam, the profound indifference (or at least impotence) we’ve shown in responding to the far-left’s capture of the academy, the way in which we (collectively) permitted the media to sell us Barack Obama the blank slate, proves his point entirely.

Radicals at the Helm

And a permissive attitude toward radical potentially violent nuts has pervaded society, thanks to O. Violent revolutionary nuts are just part of a “welcome diversity.” Right. And O, a radical himself, has brought the radicals in, like his Science Czar who has called for “de-development of the United States.” Or his Energy Secretary Chu who wants $8 gas. A comment I saw on the EPA:

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has an operating budget of eighteen billion dollars… Obama’s EPA has been taken over by radical activists that are anti-American energy and anti-capitalists.

Obama has packed his administration with cabinet and agency chiefs that are about 90% drawn from career academics and government bureaucrats. These new hires have been marinated in progressive socialist dogma with little patience or appreciation for the capitalist ventures that are the engines for American prosperity. Thus, radical environmental policies and regulations have invaded EPA.

anotherJoe on May 8, 2012 at 1:09 PM

So Bill Ayers gets something right.

I think your interpretation is a stretch. Immorality still falls along a moral spectrum. Amorality doesn’t. Right and wrong exist along the same spectrum. Indifference does not. For example, hate requires an emotional investment, just as love does. Indifference and apathy do not.

It’s not really a liberal belief system.

Dante on May 8, 2012 at 1:10 PM

By Ayers own radical logic of revolutionary action, someone would be perfectly justified in blowing him up to protest Ayers’ own radical politics.

How does he square this fatally circular logic?

If ever there was a person who represented arrested development it’s Bill Ayers I don’t think he can grow up. Ayer’s is play- acting revolutionary which I guess to him was a step up from Elizabeth Warren play-acting Indian princess.

“It’s not enough to…sit on your couch smoking a joint.”

Yeah maybe Bill will offer you his couch to sit on and smoke joints. The Chicago Occupiers actually have a housing coordinator who’s soliciting Chicagoans to open their homes to occupiers who want to spend NATO weekend protesting in the Windy City. Calvin Ho was interviewed on WLS-AM’s Don Wade and Roma morning show today.
When asked why occupiers need these places to stay he said many are barely scraping by (and yet they can afford to come) and need a place to stay while they’re here (no tent cities in Grant Park, I guess).

OWS is providing buses (hmmm, or is it the unions?) to transport people from around the country to Chicago. Ho claims the people will promise not to abuse drugs or alcohol in the homes (unless you stay at the Ayers’ where it might be encouraged), but he also claims the police and federal authorities are to blame for the violence that’s occurred at OWS protests. The OWSers are planning to protest outside Boeing’s offices in the West Loop next weekend.

So, yo, Bill, what kinda couch you got?

When and where is this? I must book a hotel room overlooking the bloodbath event.

A Peter Pan presidency for Peter Pan voters.

But not all those Peter Pan’s are college age voters.

Bill Ayer’s is trying to fill the pied- piper role. Be careful kids the piper always has to get paid, one way or another.

“He who pays the piper calls the tune.”

Is the media curious at all about who is funding Bill Ayer’s activities?

Dr Evil on May 8, 2012 at 1:31 PM

I wonder if it would be OK to pray only one person got hurt, severly? That person would be William Ayers. I was thinking a stray accidental gunshot to the back of the head. Billy would finally get the justice he so richly deserves and his students would get a chance at an education. Radical get shot.

Having this summit in downtown Chicago is absolutely the stupidest possible place imaginable.

crosspatch on May 8, 2012 at 1:39 PM

The other event in Chicago next weekend is the North Side installment of the Crosstown Classic with the Sox visiting Wrigley Field to play the Cubs on Fri, Sat & Sun which always brings thousands of people into the city, not just at the ballpark. It’d be a true nightmare if they were playing on the South Side since McCormick Place where the summit is being held is between downtown and US Cellular Field (known as Cominskey Field to Obama–you know, Comiskey + Alinsky).

Can’t say for sure if there will be more violence surrounding the summit protests or in and around Wrigley Field since regardless of whether both teams suck, for Chicago fans when these two teams go head-to-head it’s like the Hatfields meetin’ the McCoys–and there has been shooting in the past.

Ayers says: “the opposite of moral is not immoral, the opposite of moral is indifference“.

No, the opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference. The opposite of moral IS immoral.

Bill Ayer’s is doing a public service, the freaky fringe (which is about all he can attract) are ready to follow him off a cliff.

Rahm Emannuel is a Democrat Mayor I doubt seriously he thinks that Bill Ayers is more than an aging kook.

Crosstown is next weekend? Oh. Good. Gawd.

annoyinglittletwerp on May 8, 2012 at 1:49 PM

Based on the past Ayers and his groupies would likely blow themselves up.

Yep, Mayor “tiny dancer” Rahmbo has impeccable timing. And don’t forget, the G20 was also supposed to be in Chicago on Friday and Saturday until Obigcheese co-opted it to Camp David (admittedly a smart move) causing Rahmbo to go into hiding and pout for a few days. IMHO, Rahmbo is using the NATO summit to ingratiate himself with global leaders as a prelude to his Prezuhduncial candidacy in 2016.

Maybe Ayers will share with the students the recipe for the nail bomb (intended for soldiers at Fort Dix) that took out his girlfriend.

That happened the year I was born. When I arrived there were a few less parasites. Good.

I’d never seen or heard him speak before, but it’s interesting. It finally dawned on me– the man is nothing more than a superannuated adolescent.

I remember when that happened. Hippies and weather underground. Dipshit John Kerry testifying. Now these people have power? How did I we wind up in a different dimension?

This pig has been sucking on the Government teat for 40 years. In reality he should just now be getting out of prison along with Jane the whore Fonda, and Bernadine Dorn.
