Audio: Michael Moore covers “The Times They Are A-Changin’” for the new “Occupy” benefit album
posted at 7:11 pm on May 4, 2012 by Allahpundit
Via CNS. Reasons to believe that this is real: The “Occupy This Album” benefit project has been in the works for months, with reports that Moore would sing on it surfacing as far back as last November. A news release about it appeared on the wires just this afternoon. And let’s face it, the voice does sound like his.
Reasons not to believe this is real: If you were going to parody the idea of Michael Moore singing for “Occupy,” this is precisely the song you’d choose and this is exactly how it would sound. It’s like a lost track from “A Mighty Wind.” Trey Parker and Matt Stone would reject it on grounds that it’s too far over the top as a goof on the hippie nostalgia that runs through the movement.
And yet, here we are.
Two clips for you, one of the track and the other via the Washington Free Beacon of select occupiers expressing their feelings about Obama. Given public reaction to OWS these days, their reaction to him must be music to The One’s ears. No pun intended. Content warning.

At last, a follow up to the Alvin Greene comic.
Our long dry spell is over everyone.

I don’t know, I saw a lot of Apple products at the Occupy protests. There could be a market for these comics.
KelThuzad0398 on February 10, 2013 at 3:46 PM
Weren’t most of the “occupiers” really the children of the “1%”, or at least the top 10%?

so is that drunken old hippie crappin’ on a police car a featured hero?

Maybe they’ll have an entire issue devoted to the rapes at Occupy camps.
Fail

Faster than a speeding drum roll, more powerful than a down twinkle, able to leap tall rape tents in a single bound.

…Nancy Pelosi’s children…the only movement of note…was against the side of a cop car!
KOOLAID2 on February 10, 2013 at 4:04 PM
Occupy’s been a comic book from the get go–a bad one with “stars” even more pathetic than the “Super Friends” version of Aquaman. No doubt the first issue will be: “Occupy faces against the awesome menace ‘Soap and Water Man.’”
M. Scott Eiland on February 10, 2013 at 4:08 PM
I think you’re missing the point here. The target audience here is kids. They are indoctrinating the next generation in the politics of class warfare.
It matters. Look at the journalists today–they are products of the same process, the grand march through the institutions.

But are the pages soft, strong and thoroughly absorbent?

Time for a big ole smelly bowel movement on a cop car followed by a good old fashioned gang rape of some stupid white trash suburban democrat.

Can’t …stop….laughing!
Will the defeat their enemies by their powers of annoyance? Get the bad guys to leave town by camping out at Bad Guy HQ and making such a stench they can’t stand it? Able to do drugs, make incoherent protests and assault each other in a single bound?
Lol I could go on for days!

The Weeping Boner understands it. He’s glad they didn’t do a comic book about the violent Tea Party. He wouldn’t understand that.

Why should I pay for propaganda, when they’ll stuff it down our throats for free?
Voyager on February 10, 2013 at 4:39 PM
While I see your point, I don’t think many kids really read comics anymore.
My BIL owns a comic/game shop and most of his customers are in their 20s and 30s.
Anecdotal, for sure, but based on the subject matter and story telling of most of what I’ve read in the comic realm the last several years, I don’t think kids are the target audience.
AScott on February 10, 2013 at 4:41 PM
These “comics” will be nothing short of old school propaganda leaflets for the dumbed-down masses. Workers of the world unite stuff.
fabrexe on February 10, 2013 at 4:47 PM
Only one problem with that. Kids are smarter than Occupiers. They know crap when they see it.
I think these comic books will be aimed at Ivy League graduates, so stressed about the montain of depth they accumulated for their ethnic/gender studies degrees, they’ll need some fantasy escapism.

Occupy Super-powers…
…Ability to send waves of body odor in any direction.
…Ranting incoherently at deafening levels.
…Bending the media to their will. (Okay, maybe that one isn’t a super-power. It just is.)
The possibilities are endless!
Daddy-O on February 10, 2013 at 9:19 PM
Look I’m a big DC guy. Not thrilled with this. But EVERYTIME something to do with comics is reported here or on other non-comic site the story is always half assed. For example Alan Scott, the Earth 2 GL in the new 52 is gay, not the Green Lantern we all know and love and not even the original Alan Scott. God I love this site but generally you guys have the worse, most pessimistic negative reviews of movies based on comics too. Well I still love EVERYTHING else about you guys and I hope you guys are wrong about these stupid Occupy comics.

Q: How does a person who is super powered become disenfranchised?
A: They were convicted of a super felony.
unclesmrgol on February 11, 2013 at 12:26 AM
I don’t think kids can afford comic books any more.

ON TARGET! Fire for Effect!
Captain Planet et. al are just propaganda tools. Global Warming, “overpopulation”, evil corporate bad guys, etc are just the tip of the iceberg. Shows such as NCIS show Whites are the evil murders, when 80% of the crimes are caused by those of a dusky hue. The thrust is to distort the faces of both perpetrators and victims of crimes for Political Correctness reasons. Comics are largely controlled by one particular religion, as is all the media.
Don’t believe me?
“Today, seven Jewish Americans run the vast majority of US television networks, the printed press, the Hollywood movie industry, the book publishing industry, and the recording industry. Most of these industries are bundled into huge media conglomerates run by the following seven individuals:
Gerald Levin, CEO and Director of AOL Time Warner
Michael Eisner, Chairman and CEO of the Walt Disney Company
Edgar Bronfman, Sr., Chairman of Seagram Company Ltd
Edgar Bronfman, Jr, President and CEO of Seagram Company Ltd and head of Universal Studios
Sumner Redstone, Chairman and CEO of Viacom, Inc
Dennis Dammerman, Vice Chairman of General Electric
Peter Chernin, President and Co-COO of News Corporation Limited
Those seven Jewish men collectively control ABC, NBC, CBS, the Turner Broadcasting System, CNN, MTV, Universal Studios, MCA Records, Geffen Records, DGC Records, GRP Records, Rising Tide Records, Curb/Universal Records, and Interscope Records.
Most of the larger independent newspapers are owned by Jewish interests as well. An example is media mogul is Samuel I. “Si” Newhouse, who owns two dozen daily newspapers from Staten Island to Oregon, plus the Sunday supplement Parade; the Conde Nast collection of magazines, including Vogue, The New Yorker, Vanity Fair, Allure, GQ, and Self; the publishing firms of Random House, Knopf, Crown, and Ballantine, among other imprints; and cable franchises with over one million subscribers.”
I coul d add that Michael Eisner could depart Disney tomorrow but the company will remain in the hands of Shamrock Holdings, whose principal office is now located in Israel”.
Bulletchaser on February 11, 2013 at 12:49 AM
The occupy movement was fictitious anyhow. The leap to comic books is no great feat at all.
Greek Fire on February 11, 2013 at 1:01 AM
You’re an idiot.
Seriously.
Gerald Levin is NOT the CEO of Time Warner and the current CEO is NOT jewish.
News Corporation is run by Rupert Murdoch, not jewish.
Eisner has been gone from Disney for nearly a decade and Shamrock holdings, which owns just 1% of Disney stock, is based in Burbank California.
Go Heil yourself, dumpkopf.
Alberta_Patriot on February 11, 2013 at 3:02 AM
These will make a mint for DC Comics.
How many school libraries are there in the U.S.? Each will purchase 10 issues per month. What better way to indoctrinate kids into Leninist anti-capitalist ideology than to present the agitprop in a form with which they can relate?

I don’t usually approve of book burning, but I do believe I’ll make an exception in this case. And if America had any kind of national spine we’d be staging reruns of the Palmer Raids and shipping these C-grade traitors to Cuba on rafts!!!
