Keith Olbermann demonstrates that when it comes to media hypocrisy, his pedigree is second to no one

posted at 12:41 pm on April 24, 2012 by Morgen Richmond

An illuminating clip from John Sexton at Breitbart.com, demonstrating a striking, if unsurprising, shift in Keith Olbermann’s assessment of the import of dog stories on the presidential race, within the span of just a few weeks. Watch:

This is a dog bites man story if there ever was one. Olbermann’s partisan hackery is legendary and it’s a mystery to me why his back-to-back firings from MSNBC and Current haven’t ended his career as a national pundit. As much of a pompous buffoon as he is, I suppose he performs a useful role. It takes a certain lack of dignity, and self-respect, to pull this sort of thing off with a straight face. But somehow Keith Olbermann never fails to rise to the challenge.

I guess dog meat is important to Keith. I dont see many republicans harping on this. However to fail to mention it, after liberals went crazy about Mitt’s dog on the roof, would be improper. It’s a great tit for tat. If your going to talk about a dog on the roof, that survived, its OK in my book to talk about the dog you CONSUMED.

What I hear few people discussing is the reality that Obama ate dog meat – which is clearly haram in Islam – while a practicing Muslim. Irrespective of the reality back then that Indonesian culture evidently had no problem molding religion to fit their practices.

Says mountains about Mr. Obama’s views on religion, faith and the role of culture/society. In other words, society’s whims are more important than religion’s and that we should dictate what is right or wrong about a religion.

Or, he could throw Bill Ayers under the bus about that line in his book… but then he’d have to openly admit he didn’t write it…

Olby questions why the “Obama ate dog” issue didn’t “raise any umbrage” when Obama (or his ghost writer, Bill Ayers) included it in his pompous auto-biography that’s been out for 16 years. And why didn’t it raise any “umbrage” (an odd use of the word; rather it’s more correct to say “I take umbrage with virtually everything Keith Olberman says” but I digress)? Because you tools in the media refused to vet Obama even though he was a blank slate, even though he had the thinnest of resumes, even though his accomplishments were nil, even though he wouldn’t release his grades or his birth certificate, even though he is a know-nothing, self important, thin skinned, unqualified yahoo.

PattyJ on April 24, 2012 at 1:12 PM

And yet ABC gives Olby a forum on George Flackanopolous’s Sunday show. He embarrassed himself (though he doesn’t and will never know it) but is there any more obvious sign of MSM decay? Are George’s show’s ratings so bad that they’re hot for the 100k or so Occupier-types who managed to find Olby on Current? You wouldn’t think they could bring the level of discourse any lower than by the inclusion of Donna Brazile but they managed it. Hate to send ABC any clicks but note that in the caption on this page, the only one without a title of some kind is KO. It’s like, ABC knows his credentials are worthless. Eerie.

I disagree. Krugman is still the worst. He does this sort of 180 every time there is a change in the party that controls the presidency. Here’s just one of many examples:

In 2006: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/01/09/opinion/09mon1.html

“It is disturbing that President Bush has exhibited a grandiose vision of executive power that leaves little room for public debate, the concerns of the minority party or the supervisory powers of the courts. But it is just plain baffling to watch him take the same regal attitude toward a Congress in which his party holds solid majorities in both houses. Seizing the opportunity presented by the Congressional holiday break, Mr. Bush announced 17 recess appointments–a constitutional gimmick. . . . “

And in 2012: http://www.nytimes.com/2012/01/05/opinion/the-consumer-financial-protection-bureau-gets-a-chief.html

“Nearly six months after it opened its doors, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau finally has a director, after President Obama’s recess appointment of Richard Cordray. . . . Mr. Obama also appointed three new and qualified members to the National Labor Relations Board. . . . Announcing the appointments, Mr. Obama also asserted a welcome new credo: ‘When Congress refuses to act, and as a result, hurts our economy and puts our people at risk, then I have an obligation as president to do what I can without them.’ Hear. Hear”

When I read the eating dog line in the Presidents book it did not phase me a bit, just started putting things into proper prespective.

I am happily married to a Korean (Naturalized) who considers herself an American citizen who was born in Korea (no Hyphen). Dog is still a delicacy – an I have eaten that and may other strange things. This does not mean I admire the President any more or less.

The reason I consider these facts important is it pinpoints the time frame surrounding his beginnings and early childhood and makes it relevant in his actual birth rite to be president based on the beliefs of his parents and persons mobility to make things seem more that they really are.

Specifically being able to fly to/from Hawaii from Kenya/Indonesia and returning to live until his liberal father tired of his trophy white women, divorcing her allowing Obama to return to the U.S. through the private school of Punahoe, then settle in Chicago to learn Chicago politics, with Panthers protection while he fostered his Socialist ideas until the citizens of US are ready for living under Kruschave’s heel.

Don’t criticize until you build the early timeline of his life.
