Video: Who wants to cast Bill Maher’s ballot?

posted at 8:44 pm on April 16, 2012 by Allahpundit

Via Breitbart.com, another fun one from James O’Keefe and Project Veritas. Just try not to laugh at the line about sealcoating driveways. One interesting difference between this clip and the now-famous vid in which Eric Holder’s ballot was obtained: In that case, the impersonator at least provided the ballot registrar with Holder’s address as evidence that he was the Eric Holder who was registered to vote there. That’s the most rudimentary “proof” of ID possible, but at least it’s something. In this clip, all the impersonator offers is a name. Maybe he gave an address in each case too and it was edited out in the interest of brevity, but it wouldn’t surprise me if the registration process is so arbitrary that the information demanded differs from one polling place to the next. In fact, there’s proof that that’s true in this very clip. Watch to the end and you’ll see that the registrar did ask for ID from a female impersonator. Why did she need ID when the male impersonator didn’t? No one knows.

Exit question: They’re really going to give you a ballot in exchange for signing “X” on a line? Good lord.

The Chain of Events to Vote in Ontario Canada!!

What are Notice of Registration Cards?
**************************************

In Ontario provincial elections, Elections Ontario mails personalized Notice of Registration Cards to each elector whose name appears on the voters list.

The Notice of Registration Card gives you the address at which you are registered, the location and hours of the polling station where you can vote on election day and the dates, times and locations where you can vote in advance polls.

Bring your Notice of Registration Card with you when you go to vote, as it serves as proof of your residence. You will still need to show proof of your identity, such as a drivers licence.

When Are Notice of Registration Cards Mailed?

Notice of Registration Cards are mailed soon after an election is called. For the 2011 Ontario provincial election, Notice of Registration Cards are being mailed to all registered Ontario voters beginning September 15, 2011.

If You Don’t Receive a Notice of Registration Card

If you don’t receive a Notice of Registration Card, it means your name may not be on the voters list or the information may be incorrect.

Exit question: They’re really going to give you a ballot in exchange for signing “X” on a line? Good lord.

That’s about the size of it.

Every time I went to vote in Connecticut, the volunteers at my polling place made sure I was who I said I was. Now that I’m officially a NY resident, I would not only expect the same, but demand it as well. Forgot my ID? I don’t vote…period. If I take voting and my right as a citizen to vote seriously, I’ll make damn sure I bring that ID. If I don’t have one, I get one well before election day.

Try to tell the liberals this, and all I usually get in return is how voter ID laws “disenfranchise” the poor and minorities. So I say “ID will be provided free to those who can’t or even won’t pay for one. Then it’s “What if they can’t get to town to get one? Seems libs forget there’s a postal system…and also that if one cannot make it to town for ID, how did they get there to vote?

Voting, to me anyway, is a scared right…and I do take it very seriously. I may not always choose and campaign for the best of candidates *cough* it seems, but lo I am cursed…but never would I not vote, for any reason.

As with all important things in life, you protect and prepare for them. Else don’t start crying the blues.

Who knew that Progs thought that Jimmy Carter was a racist?

The 21-member bipartisan Commission on Federal Election Reform, co-chaired by former President Jimmy Carter and former Secretary of State James Baker, advocated voted identification laws in 2005.

The commission called voter identification one of “five pillars” that would “build confidence” in the integrity of federal elections. Only three of the 21 commission members voted against requiring photo identification of voters.

Posted on my Facebook page with a link to this video:

The most corrupt voting system ever and the (mostly) D’s don’t want to do anything about it. We need a national voters registration system where you can only be registered in one place; we need to have to present ID’s to vote; ID’s need to be checked; and we should do away with absentee balloting unless it requires you to go in person and present ID’s which are checked; and we definitely need to do away with mail in ballots.

I don’t care who you vote for as long as you are a legal citizen eligible to vote (i.e. not a convicted felon stripped of voting rights).

One vote per eligible voter.

What’s so wrong with that?

You really are that thick, aren’t you? He never takes the ballot. He tries as hard as he can to get them to question him, but they are dead set on letting him vote without proving who he is. When it comes down to it, and he can’t create any additional reasons for them to try and stop him, he says he’d still be more comfortable if he had his ID with him, and leaves.

O’Keefe is doing what journalists are supposed to do, displaying a broken government system to anyone interested, proving that the fraud is possible which, in the past, would have been impetus enough for the shamed beauracracy to fix their process. Since most of them today have no more sense than you, they simply don’t care, because they know who benefits if people without consciences can criminally vote more than once: Liberals.

Genius! Loosen voting security to the point there can be no evidence of voter fraud unless someone actually confesses, while simultaneously justifying the lack of security by complaining there’s no evidence of vote fraud.

First, blindfold yourself, now we’ll spin you around a few times, okay there we go. And now, point to a map and show me just where the alleged voter fraud occurred… oh you can’t, can you? Aha! You don’t even know where the voter fraud happened! Look, you’re not even pointing toward the map! And thus we have proven there is no voter fraud and this is all just a racist plot to keep minority citizens (whom everyone knows rarely possess photo ID) from voting.

TallDave on April 16, 2012 at 11:43 PM

Want a voter ID video to go viral? Ask for Michael Hunt’s ballot. He normally goes by Mike. Or maybe try Juan Tabohnya.

Have Johnny Knoxville be the guy asking for the ID, then have some other dork rip off his pants and start shaking his moneymaker around in the polling place. THAT would get ratings. America, my friends, is stupid.

TheLoudTalker on April 16, 2012 at 11:44 PM

Whats so damned sad about this situation is that the media is screaming that people are being disenfranchised by requiring an ID to vote. The truth of the matter is that there are so many of these places that don’t give a crap who comes in to cast a ballot that in a place like where I live, where they actually verify who I am before I can cast that ballot…it is me who is being disenfranchised by diluting the power of MY vote.
