I don’t think Sun Tzu was a zen master but he knew that to win you had to know the enemy. Feigned, actual and imposed ignorance of the enemy gets you exactly what you have gotten all these years. Non stop losing and bleeding of treasure. Just as the Saudi Zen Masters intended.

Yeah, right. The forces of moderation are just falling out of the trees in the desert over there. It means the count down to waking up the Mahdi remains intact for the Twelvers, that's about it.

Good deal for Assad. back to status quo with 9000 dead troublemakers out of the way. China and Russia get to appear reasonable, and Kofi probably gets a big cash bonus and an attaboy for his humanitarian efforts. Assad's wife gets an additional line of credit at Harrods.
