Video: Football savior arrives to heal leper franchise

After last week’s Tebowpalooza on the site, we owe you video of his formal introduction to New York. The bad news? He was a little nervous. The good news? He came out rockin’ the spiffy green tie. The kid’s obviously a team player. Nice to finally have one on the roster.

I’m glad that he doesn’t pray for victory because a Jets Super Bowl would be a heavy lift for any deity. If it does happen, you’re apt to see the first mass religious conversion among a team’s fan base in the history of sports. Exit question: How many back-up quarterbacks end up on billboards? I give Tebow three games with Ryan and the Jets before he stops believing in God.

As a NY Giants fan,I’m thankful that the spotlight will be on Tim Tebow instead of loud mouth Rex Ryan.

You know, you read these comments, and you can tell who the small men and women are.

Keep putting down those who strive to be their best. It doesn’t do you any favors.

Glad the Jets took him…… just keep him away from my Bears.

Bitter Clinger on March 26, 2012 at 4:29 PM

Yes, the Bears are still hurting from the last time he got near them.

First Amendment and all that

Bitter Clinger on March 26, 2012 at 4:48 PM

Absolutely, you have the right to sound like a pointless whiner who came to a thread knowing it’s subject, and complained about being subjected to that subject.

A. I’m completely Tebowed out.

Even though you refuse to stop commenting.

B. Lousy QB. Could be a decent running back. Not a QB.

Yep, he was never going to be a success in high school as a quarterback. He was never going to be a success in college as a quarterback. He was never going to drag a sub-.500 team into the playoffs as a quarterback. He was never going to win a playoff game as a quarterback…

C. I’m kind sick of the whole pious, look-at-me-I’m-praying deal. I don’t doubt his faith; just think he could try following Matthew 6:6 for a bit.

Bitter Clinger on March 26, 2012 at 6:57 PM

First Amendment, and all that. Tebow never does his post-scoring prayers in the middle of the field, he runs behind the bench on the sidelines. He can’t exactly go into the locker room, and he has never asked anybody to follow what he’s doing. But you go ahead and be offended for his supposed un-Biblical behavior. I’m sure your sincere Christianity is far more profound than his fake version. Just like your sincerity in claiming you’re tired of Tebow posts, but won’t leave them alone.
