Incidentally, this is one of the things I most respect about Rick Perry: He is willing to forgo federal funds, recognizing that federal dollars always come with strings attached. He rejected Race to the Top funds, for example, and now he’s saying “no” to federal control of another state-level program. The business-friendly atmosphere he created in Texas has ensured a thriving economy there, such that Texas doesn’t have need of federal funds, either. No wonder so many Californians have migrated there.

Uh, so why don’t they divest themselves of ALL Federal funding, dismantle all Great Society like state services, build their own wall along the border and seal it up, and ignore all Federally-mandated unfunded programs?

No way? Didn’t think so.

Planned Parenthood does not fund abortions with government money .. per them….

Obama has the Fed giving out birth control through the insurance companies.

He should tell Obama that, since he just cut off all federal funding for women’s health clinics in Texas.

My problem with these posts is they’re designed for an echo chamber, not to offer insight or inspire discussion. How many States rights posts does Tina make? It’s because Planned Parenthood funding is involved that she’s featuring it. Meanwhile, social conservatives never consider that big State Government is equally as dangerous as big Government, and perhaps it’s actually Perry who should be blamed for putting women’s health in peril, by putting the abortion issue on the frontline.

Me too. He would have made a fine POTUS, but was purged for failing the debate skills class. Now, Newt is close to same despite having mastered the class and failing other classes.

The purity purge should have started at the back of the line, not the front.
