The Ed Morrissey Show: Senator Jim Inhofe, Andrew Kaczynski

posted at 1:45 pm on February 27, 2012 by Ed Morrissey

Today on The Ed Morrissey Show (3 pm ET), we have a real treat.  Our first guest is Senator James Inhofe, whose book The Greatest Hoax hits bookstores everywhere this week.   He’ll be on Fox News tonight with Sean Hannity, but first he’ll join us for the opening half of the show to discuss the book and his fight against the global-warming hysterics who want government control over energy production.  Here’s a great new video for his book launch:

In the second half, we welcome to the show for the first time Andrew Kaczinsky, who now works at BuzzFeed. Andrew has proven himself to be a dogged researcher and has turned into one of the scariest people for political candidates. If they’ve had an embarrassing moment or a contradictory statement, Andrew will find it. We’ll get acquainted with Andrew and talk politics, BuzzFeed, and much much more!

The Ed Morrissey Show and its dynamic chatroom can be seen on the permanent TEMS page — be sure to join us, and don’t forget to keep up with the debate on my Facebook page, too!

Marizela Perez has been missing in the Seattle area for almost a year now. Marizela’s case has a connection here at Hot Air, as she is the cousin of the Boss Emeritus, Michelle Malkin. Michelle is trying to spread the word through Facebook and Q13Fox/KCPQ in Seattle. We want to encourage prayers for Marizela’s family, and also try to reach anyone in the area who knows where Marizela might be and ask them to contact the police.

The search has its own website now, Find Marizela, for the latest in the efforts to bring Marizela home. There is also a fund for the family to keep the search efforts going. Be sure to check there and at Michelle’s site for further developments, and keep the family in your prayers.

America’s Most Wanted is now on the case, too.

Michelle has an update on the case:

The circumstances of our dilemma remain the same. While the case remains open, the Seattle police are for all practical purposes treating it as a closed and shut case. They will not share the information they obtained from the limited Google subpoena — which our family pushed for in the first place. If we had access to that information, we could continue the search for Marizela on our own that the SPD has neither the time, resources, or inclination to pursue.

We have not heard back from Google.

As we’ve noted since the day of her disappearance, she was taking anti-depressants at the time of her disappearance. The daunting possibility that she took her life, and the signs that cannot be ignored, still weighs heavily on our minds — as do all the other frightening possibilities as her case remains unsolved and unresolved. I’ve urged you before to support volunteer groups that provide hope and solace for those in need. To honor Marizela, I ask again that you do so if you are able.

Thank you for all your continued thoughts and prayers.

Keep the prayers coming.

With the release of Senator Inhofe’s new book, it is the perfect time to introduce a Windfall Hoax Profits Tax.

For too long, Al Gore and his global warming/climate change buddies have been reaping obscene profits from the hoax and keeping it all to themselves.

Isn’t it only fair that they spread the wealth of their Hoax windfalls with everyone?

James Inhofe has fought the man-made Global Warming scam from day one. He practically stood alone at times fighting against it. And now the Warmist scam is in shambles thanks largely to his efforts.

Now we need to get the public funding cut for this scam. American taxpayers are forced to shell-out billions every year to prop-up this globalist hoax and power grab.

The man-made Global Warming gravy train has been rolling down the track for more than 30 years, it’s well past time to derail that train.

“Now we need to get the public funding cut for this scam.”

Yes, Axion. And educational indoctrination. And a fierce leftist MSM bias. A Real Science post by Steven Goddard suggests there is a 10,000 to 1 funding advantage for the hoaxsters. I don’t know exactly how that number was calculated, but clearly the # is huge. I second it: derail that train!

My prayers are with you.

I’m ashamed, I had forgotten about this lost person. I hope that whatever her fate she is found and brought home.
