Video: Breitbart vs. Cenk Uygar over rape at “Occupy” camps

Via Breitbart TV. I should have guessed that eventually we’d be arguing over whether “Occupy” has a problem with crime, notwithstanding the long, long, long, long, long list of alleged criminal activities at the encampaments. Remember, things at Zuccotti Park got so bad that a women-only tent was set up so that there’d be strength in numbers against sexual predators. Some feminist sites criticized “Occupy” for its rape problem back during the movement’s brief heyday; even HuffPo reported on “multiple incidents of assault, drug dealing and drug use, rape and attempted rape, according to conversations with numerous protesters.” (Per Breitbart in the clip, that detail apparently didn’t make it into their book.) And of course, we only know about some of what went on. At least one “Occupy” camp reminded victims that “we do not encourage the involvement of the police in our community” and a New York City cop told Big Journalism’s Joel Pollak that “There are many incidents of sexual touching and groping that goes unreported to us, mainly because the alleged victim is either too stoned or high to properly ID them or they ‘dont want to get the guy in trouble.’” (Some national media outlets reported on the attacks too.) This is why, of course, Breitbart was yelling at the Occupiers outside CPAC to “stop raping people,” but now that the movement is gearing up for a big spring comeback, I guess it’s time for the left’s whitewash to being in earnest. It’s a nice bookend to their demagoguery over the Tucson shooting: In that case, tea partiers were blamed for a crime that no tea partier committed whereas here no Occupiers are blamed for a crime that quite a few Occupiers allegedly committed. Fourteen minutes, but well worth it.

Wow, that Uygar guy was AFRAID to let Breitbart talk.

That says it all.

What a moron. To think that there are millions of idiots like this taking up space and using air. Talk about protecting the planet from overpopulation – wishful thinking.

So, Andrew rattles off talking point after talking point and all Cenk can really do is just keep saying he doesn’t believe him. Typical Ad hominem retort employed by those who know they are losing an argument. His one “gotcha” bit is the, “See! ABC and Huffington have posted ALLLL these articles about the rapin’ that be going on.” But really when put in context of the total number of stories you might get one article talking about the alleged crimes and then a whole retinue of puff pieces. Whereas pundits talking about the Tea Party always have to include the spitting incident and the non-existent “violently extreme and scary rhetoric”, or insinuate that the whole movement is astro-turfed by the Koch brothers. Of course to liberals having a bunch of grown ups say that it’s time to balance the budget and be responsible with our money is a scary scary thing to them because it means the entitlement gravy train is gonna stop flowing. Not to mention the Tea Parties had a habit of leaving the parks they occupied actually cleaner than the way they found them. While the Occu-poopers decimate the parks so badly that it takes hundreds of thousands of dollars to renovate the park.
