Between Santorum and Gingrich? Cyanide.

Who else had Giuliani for 2008?

mythicknight on February 11, 2012 at 4:02 PM

I’ll take the poll in a minute!

KOOLAID2 on February 11, 2012 at 4:03 PM

What’s to survey? People who go to CPAC don’t like Jugears. Fairly simple, really.

platypus on February 11, 2012 at 4:03 PM

Is old Abobo really the last of the Paulnut Mohicans?

abobo on February 11, 2012 at 4:04 PM

Got my AZ ballot. About 15 names listed. Rebelliously chose Santorum. Gingrich is dead to me.

andy85719 on February 11, 2012 at 4:05 PM

I didn’t like the choices for President…and then there was the Palin name!

KOOLAID2 on February 11, 2012 at 4:07 PM

Who else had Giuliani for 2008?

I did. He would have been an excellent President.

Cyanide 2008

KOOLAID2 on February 11, 2012 at 4:10 PM

Lame. How about some questions about the CPAC orators?

The Nerve on February 11, 2012 at 4:11 PM

Giuliani is pro-abortion. Impossible for him to get GOP nomination.

platypus on February 11, 2012 at 4:11 PM

I didn’t know Palin had decided to enter the race.

they lie on February 11, 2012 at 4:11 PM

I have KFC grease spots on my absentee ballot (no, I won’t let Michelle Obama tell me what I can or cannot eat). I emailed my town clerk if I need a new ballot or not. Hopefully she will get back to me. I am waiting until 2/22 before I mail it back. It has to be in by 2/28.

I voted for Thompson in MI in 2008. I was still not ready to choose McCain, even though Thompson was on life support by the time the primary got to my state.

karenhasfreedom on February 11, 2012 at 4:13 PM

Umm. There was 2 Thompson’s running in 2008

ConservativePartyNow on February 11, 2012 at 4:13 PM

I also had Giuliani as my choice last time…

Survey will not send. Guess it is blocked out if you voted for Santorum.

Sure would be nice if she did. I don’t think anyone knows how much money would flow her way.

had to open up the survey in another window

cmsinaz on February 11, 2012 at 4:19 PM

yo patty—where’s the SMOD?

ted c on February 11, 2012 at 4:20 PM

I don’t like the way this works now. I had to launch the survey in a separate window, and it took forever (more than 5 minutes) for the survey to come up in the window.

Now I’m waiting for the survey response to register, which is also taking forever.

But you’re doing a great job, Patrick. Keep up the good work. And bring back Lawn Gnome Reagan, huh?

Santorum’s legislative history is riddled with more non-conservative votes than his supporters may realize.
http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/290880/santorum-endorsed-specters-presidential-bid-katrina-trinko

Gingrich has a far superior conservative history than either Santorum or Romney.

Dire Straits on February 11, 2012 at 4:43 PM

I couldn’t vote for any of the four remaining candidates without nearly losing my lunch, so I let my GF vote instead. She voted for Gingrich, but she wasn’t happy about it.

It’s hard to come up with a less inspiring list of candidates. They’re all B-listers…and if I were Obama, I’d be feeling pretty good about it.

LOL. Save the breast for me.
I think you want to get a new ballot.

Also, Obama will still win handily in MI this year, unfortunately.
Doesn’t mean we shouldn’t vote in the primary or general, of course, but we’re not quite purple enough yet.

RedCrow on February 11, 2012 at 5:18 PM

Not quite sure why Palin and Christie are still up there…unless some ‘nistas are holding out hope :P

Teh Fred! was the man in ’08…after that, it was McCain.

JetBoy on February 11, 2012 at 5:19 PM

I hope more are lying on the survey the way I do each time. It’s fun to watch false hopes an expectations rise.

Who cares about this. Romney won the real CPAC poll. Who cares about what the inbreds on HotGas think?

Can you stop with the stupid non-scientific polls that has a bias for the unemployed Palin nuts?

Jailbreak on February 11, 2012 at 7:02 PM

And how scientific is CPAC where you can pay your supporters to come out and vote for you?

JPeterman on February 11, 2012 at 7:34 PM

Had to put down “Obama” as my primary pick back in ’08, though thanks to the machinations of the Sunset State I missed the cutoff for being 18 by a day or two. (In retrospect, not such a bad outcome.)

As an Independent/NPA I don’t get a choice in this primary/march-to-Romney squabble but if I did I’d give my vote to Santorum. Good background, consistent stable of values, seems to be on the right track.

Is old Abobo really the last of the Paulnut Mohicans?

abobo on February 11, 2012 at 4:04 PM

I am a recent convert, sort of, but only because other candidates suck even more. The choice is really between decimating the military outright and not being able to pay its salaries ten years down the road.

Archivarix on February 11, 2012 at 10:40 PM

The x vs y questions make me glad I don’t actually identify as Republican. What a bunch of godawful choices. Might as well ask me to pick between BHO and Hilldawg, or Hilldawg and Manbearpig, or BHO and Hairplugs.

I wouldn’t vote under any circumstances if those were the choices, and you really should have a “Stay home” choice by now. Don’t pretend it doesn’t happen. Most registered voters don’t actually vote.

Daikokuco on February 11, 2012 at 11:15 PM

The question where you ask people to declare how fiscally conservative they are is useless. Everybody here will pick the most extreme fiscally conservative, even though most people on this site won’t shut up about how the military can’t be cut under any circumstances and how the US simply must have a military that spends more than the next 17 countries combined. Fiscal conservatives my ass.

Daikokuco on February 11, 2012 at 11:18 PM

Nope. You don’t get to declare people who want to well fund the military, one of the primary functions of the national government, to be other than fiscally conservative just because you and your Ron Paul isolationist buddies think the bad guys will leave us alone if we just let them wipe out Israel.

Malachi45 on February 12, 2012 at 1:10 AM

Gingrich >> Romney > Santorum

I think Paul Ryan would be an really interesting VP for Gingrich. Jindal might be another good one, but I would rather keep him in the governorship.

I have grown to really dislike Romney, for whom I voted in 2008 (after Fred! and Rudy dropped out), but I just don’t see the case for Santorum right now. Romney beats him on the “competence” criterion. However, if Team Romney continues to be as tone-deaf as they’ve been so far, I may have to conclude that they are not intellectually agile enough to adjust which argues against their competence (as well as his much-touted “electability”).

Between Palin and Christie, I would go Fat Man, despite his deviations from conservative orthodoxy. Palin doesn’t seem to have the temperament to be POTUS right now.

Y-not on February 12, 2012 at 11:01 AM

Who else had Giuliani for 2008?

I was a Fred! person, but Rudy was my runner-up. Wound up voting for Romney over McCain. ugh.

Y-not on February 12, 2012 at 11:03 AM

Malachi45 on February 12, 2012 at 1:10 AM

Ooh. The “bad guys”. Do you realize what a cowardly little baby you sound like?

Pissing away more than the next 17 countries COMBINED is in no way fiscally conservative. And you might want to look into the Constituion you love to exploit some time, to see what it actually says about maintaining a standing army. Idiot.

Daikokuco on February 12, 2012 at 12:24 PM

I can’t play this game because it won’t accept my choice of Newt or Romney as none of the above.
