Open thread: Sunday morning — and afternoon — talking heads; Update: Obama interview at 4:30

posted at 8:00 am on February 5, 2012 by Allahpundit

The early hours today look dull — “Meet the Press,” which leads with Gingrich, is probably your best bet — but things will pick up this afternoon when The One sits down with Matt Lauer during NBC’s endless Super Bowl pre-game show for a little class warfare before kickoff. No word yet on the exact time (I’d guess between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., when more people are tuning in), but given O’s track record with these things, it’ll be worth watching. Remember, it was during his last Super Bowl interview with Lauer that he uttered the infamous line about needing to turn things around in three years or else he’d be a one-termer. That was … three years ago.

Here’s the full Sunday morning line-up via Politico.

Update: According to Time, Obama and Lauer will go live from the White House promptly at 4:30 p.m. ET.
