George Soros: There’s not much difference between Obama and Romney
posted at 7:10 pm on January 30, 2012 by Allahpundit
Via RCP. Alternate headline: “George Soros cuts the greatest Gingrich attack ad of all time.” Newt, in fact, mentioned Soros’s comments here three times in his interview with ABC this morning; no doubt the footage below is coming soon to a Winning Our Future spot near you. Is Soros on the level, though, or is he playing a little Pelosi/Vizzini mind game? He knows he’s a right-wing boogeyman whose comments on the race will be exploited for advantage. Presumably he also knows that Mitt’s a greater threat to Obama in swing states than Gingrich is. Here’s a quick, simple way to give Romney the kiss of death. Then again, how many Republican voters actually know who Soros is and why they’re supposed to fear/loathe him? Committed grassroots activists do, but they’re already in the Gingrich or Santorum camps precisely because they agree with Soros’s point.
Ah well. Bookmark this now in case Mitt’s the nominee, as it’ll be fun to return to it in six months when the left’s convinced itself that Romney is some sort of cross between Gordon Gekko and Hitler. Oh, and be sure to watch to the end or else you’ll miss him lamenting Obama’s refusal to nationalize the banks after the financial crisis. Good ol’ George.

Well the Jimmy Carter fake endorsement didn’t help to derail Mitt and neither will this. Wouldn’t be surprised if Biden comes out for him next. You’re right though, it will be fun to have them on record.

I expect this comparison from Soros. It helps Obama by making him sound benign in comparison. When Repubicans say it it veers into banality of evil territory and I would urge you all to cease and desist from employing this sort of rhetoric. To compare any of our candidates’ ideological stances to the malevolent Marxist in the White House only serves to humanize him, to make him appear nonthreatening.
Let’s review Obama’s first acts as President: Ordered a shut down of GITMO, rescinded our commitment to missile defense and thus betrayed allies like Poland while strengthening Russia (who is obviously not a friend), took sides against the Honduran people, did nothing while Iran’s people tried to rise up in revolution. Does anyone think any of our candidates would do this (including Ron Paul)?
Obama is an authoritarian, Leftist Chicago politician who employs the undemocratic tactics of a gangster. It is not hyperbole to suggest a second Obama term (where he could operate unrestrained by the pesky need to be re-elected) would be unspeakably dangerous. He would employ every trick in the book to subvert the Constitution, ignore Congress, and push through the final chapters of his radical agenda of transforming America. To suggest that Romney would do this is absurd. If anything, he can be faulted for being too conciliatory and tolerant of other sides. I have seen no evidence that he has any authoritarian or dictatorial impulses…

I’ve often wondered if people actually fall for this kind of coordinated far-left agitprop. Apparently, some do. We’ve got to do a much better job with education in this country. But in the meantime, let me see if I can explain this in a way those folks falling for this might understand. Follow along…
George Soros is a far-left Marxist billionaire and Nazi sympathizer who has spent hundreds of millions of dollars — hundreds of millions — to get democrats broadly, and Barack Obama, specifically, elected to high office. Google Open Society Institute and Center for American Progress and MoveOn.org and Tides Foundation and see what you find there. Those are all Soros-funded outfits, all far, far left, and all will work overtime and spend many of Soros’ billions of dollars to get Barack Obama re-elected. Soros is financing Barack Obama’s re-election campaign, funneling the money through outfits like those listed above and others. Ok. Got that? He is Barack Obama’s chief campaign financier.
Now, why would the guy who financed Barack Obama’s first campaign, and is financing his second campaign, want Republican voters to sour on Mitt Romney? What would be George Soros’s payoff if Romney goes down and, for example, Gingrich climbs up? What is in it for Soros, knowing that he wants Barack Obama to win re-election?
Is anything coming to you? Anything getting through? Lightbulbs going off? No? Ok. I’ll be more direct. George Soros wants Barack Obama to win, and he thinks Mitt Romney might interfere with that.

One of the greatest investors in the history of the world, Jimmy Rodgers, says that “The only difference between Romeny and Obama is that Obama is from Chicago, and Romney is from Boston”. He said this in a video interview today with Larry Kudlow in CNBC’s Kudlow Report.
So, I hope this helps.

The facts don’t support your assertion. Check-out where the most support for Israel & the Jews comes from – It’s the more Evangelical & more conservative areas.
Go research where the most Anti-Semitic crimes occur – it’s liberal areas.
Ask yourself what the Liberal Organization & Soros’ backed Adbusters means by the “1%” – They are not talking about money.
Go to youtube & check out TEA party rallies & OWS rallies – play spot the Anti-Semite.
Finally Soros is & his Nazi History is like a child who kills his parents asking for mercy because he is an orphan.
Conservatives love the Jewish people for a number of reasons – mostly because of the Jewish will to live, and the value of life and liberty. If you are mishpocha I invite you to Texas & see it for yourself.

Romney is icy. The Obama campaign will be emphasizing his detachment from ordinary Americans. Bank on it. What’s so ironic is that his personality is very similar to Obama’s, so by attacking Romney for Vulcanism, Obama will be able to deflect attention from his own Vulcanism.

Romney won’t call Obama a malevolent Marxist because he would lose th election if he did. Americans (like you?) think Obama’s not a very good president but kind of a nice guy and they don’t want to hear mean things said about him.
This however is a blog and neither I, nor you, are running for office. The same goes for talk radio hosts and others who, unlike politicians, are free to say whatever the hell they wish (within the bounds of decency and reason).
