Video: Herman Cain endorses “the people”

posted at 5:53 pm on January 19, 2012 by Allahpundit

He said it’d be “unconventional,” didn’t he?

People are going to goof on him for this, but what did he have to lose? His endorsement means little anymore so neither Romney nor Gingrich would have felt indebted to him for giving it to them. In fact, I’m sure they’re both relieved to have not gotten it. If he backed Mitt, the media spin tomorrow would emphasize support from an also-ran as a metaphor for Romney’s fading chances in South Carolina. And if he threw it to Newt, you know full well what the spin would be. Turns out he’s going to deliver the Tea Party Express’s SOTU response next week, so consider this a little advertisement for that.

Oh geez, this is so awkward. First off, thanks very much Mr. Cain. I know that it would be customary at this point for me to make some equally supportive comments toward Mr. Cain, but unfortunately that will not be possible at this time. But, really, thank you very much.

LOL
The people are the ones in power?

Well, he later argues that the politicians took it away from us, that is realistic. We really do not have power any more. We have no say in what direction our nation takes. None of us can affect the direction of a politician or the whole of government once our vote is completed. We have 0 standing for anything of import at the Supreme Court. The Senate no longer represents the State’s interest. The states are limited in their ability to enact laws due to the federal government stealing that power with no constitutional basis.

Cain’s right. Any random joker off the street would probably do a better job than the GOP field, and certainly Obama.

Still think it’s funny that anyone blames Cain for Perry’s self-immolation. Perry lost the primary the moment the words “you don’t have a heart” left his mouth. Then he killed any chance of getting to be Last Man Standing when the word “oops” did.

as you’ve hopefully seen from this race, your life had better be SPOTLESS.
I will advise that politics at the lower levels (town, county, state), where you really need to start, can be even more vicious than what you see at the federal level; and if you get in, it’s a thankless job (3 years on a town council was enough for me).

Got any proof or evidence for your dishonest, baseless accusations that Cain committed “adultery” or was “unfaithful” to his wife.

I mean, of course, mere allegations from some untrustworthy bimbos?

And even the bimbos only said he acted “inappropriately” or made them “uneasy.” Not a single woman at any time anywhere ever alleged Cain had sex with them.

Yet, you make such a smarmy accusation based upon nothing.

I’ll wait patiently for your proof or evidence. Any statement from any woman of sex with Cain, other than his wife, will do. But, I am a geezer, so I can only wait a limited number of years.
