Can we not see that we are at an existential crossroads, and that our nation is in the gravest danger? Can we not see – as a people united – that the federal government has become an enemy of the people, in the literal sense of the word “enemy”?

Our liberty will continue to be stripped, so long as a majority of people live in denial of the reality that this federal government is an enemy of the people and our liberty.

Without acknowledgment of who and what the enemy is, elections from this point forward are just play-acting in support of denial – going through the motions until liberty is finally lost.

Of course, this ad might hurt Romney in heavily-unionized Michigan (where his father was Governor) or Wisconsin or Ohio in the general election. But the country as a whole needs to be educated about the fact that union bosses confiscate their members’ dues to promote policies that enrich themselves, but deprive the members of sorely-needed jobs.

Is Romney stealing a page from the Chris Christie playbook here?

I would keep an open mind until you see how Mitt holds up to the attacks sure to come. I’m not just talking about Newt. Santorum can get pretty aggressive.

I’d never vote for Obama or any other Democrat, but I seriously doubt I’ll vote for Romney.

Then you are part of the problem. In fact, people who consider themselves Republicans in general or Conservatives in particular who adopt this defeatist attitude are a much bigger problem than Romney.

Last time I voted for Thompson I knew that he wouldnt get the nom and would end up voting for McCain. Might just cut to the chase and vote for Mitt.

Yes because Romney wants the same things but lies about it. Romney should have called for Obamas Impeachment for this action made it crystal clear Obama broke the constitution but not a word. Why???

Obama just made appointments that are most likely unconstitutional. He is reducing the size of the military to save money. He is considering another illegal appointment that will take the housing sector even lower. And he wants to grow government and unions, especially public sector unions, even bigger so they can control your private lives even more.

We need to send reinforcements. I don’t think we will have the housecleaning done until 2014, perhaps even 2016. We need to clean out all of the progressive big government types there, in BOTH parties. Unfortunately, the ones there in the GOP put that wimp Boehner in charge. They also co-opted a lot of the incoming freshmen who got brainwashed their first week there. We need to get some of these old dinosaurs out of there in 2012.

Why should conservatives believe anything the GOP says?

The GOP has done nothing to stop the progressive agenda. Therefore, I find that your premise that the GOP will do something to stop the progressive agenda in the future is highly flawed.

Obama just started ruling as a dictator blatantly bypassing the Senate to as Dictator put his people in place while the Senate was in session. All Romney does is criticize his picks. Well Chump Obama will win. As Dictator he can give Americans 4 Trillion to vote for him can you do that. Thought not.
