Obligatory: Obama plays 90th round of golf in Hawaii

This would be a blasé bit of news if 90 weren’t such a nice, round number, but, as it is, this represents a record of sorts. Not only did Barack Obama golf on Christmas day, but he hit the links yesterday, too — and that round marked the 90th of his presidency. As Keith Koffler of WhiteHouseDossier.com points out, the time he’s spent on a golf course — about four to five hours a round — is the equivalent of three full months.
It’s not just that his perpetual self-indulgence signifies that “kind of laziness” the president himself admits plagues him deep down. It’s also that this particular indulgence required an exceptional sacrifice from the military men and women who had to accommodate his desire to golf at the Marine Corps base. Melissa Clouthier breaks it down, including a few particularly devastating comments from wives of Marines:
Well, the big deal is that a bunch of Marines had to work–blocking roads and doing other miscellaneous security detail–instead of being home with their families.
Here are some of the comments from the wives of these men. (I am not going to include the link to this page, nor am I going to include names, because I don’t want anyone in trouble. I do, however, have the screen shot and have copy and pasted the comments verbatim.) …
“Because he’s here, I didn’t get to see my husband all weekend, on our baby girl’s first Christmas, so he can have his vacation. So when I can’t get to my house because he wants to play golf it just adds insult to injury and yeah, gets on my nerves. I agree that it’s a sensitive subject for some of us who are more [a]ffected by his being here.” …
I was so angry! They blocked off my driveway… -_-”
“It takes him forever to play too because he isn’t good at it either lol!”
She dubs him “President Selfish,” and I think that moniker is more than appropriate.

Remember, too, when Obama golfs, he almost always does it on military courses. Which means, of course, everyone else is cleared off and only he and his buddies play.

And then, there is this: Obama giveth 2% payroll “cut” and IRS “recaptures” that 2% for anyone who earns over $110k per year
That’s right. His big, gigantic, theatric, fantastic maneuvers that will propel him to re-election is nothing but a rotten stinking lie. Nobody gets $1000.00. At best they get $160.
And I do believe that this is an attempt to define ‘wealthy’ as anyone earning over $110k a year.

He has never had to work an honest day in his life. He did nothing but vote “present” in the Illinois legislature. He never had a real private sector job before that. He showed up to the US Senate for about 5 minutes before leaving to run for President full time.
And his typical work day as President is 10-3.
It could be worse. Imagine how much WORSE things would be if Obama HAD a work ethic!

And then think about his many basketball games and it’s surprising people still support this clown.
This man is truly loathsome. While our economy is in the toilet, millions without jobs, he’s living it up playing golf, vacationing and living like a king. (And often handing down edicts as if he were a king in reality)

Since all the MSM outlets stopped keeping tabs on the body count in Iraq, as soon as Obama became POTUS, it’s nice to know that HotAir is at least keeping count on how many rounds of golf he’s played.
OT: I had a conversation with a co-worker today. He’s a Republican, but he’s totally disconnected with the Conservative media. He knows NOTHING about Climategate or Fast & Furious. It got me thinking to what an unprecedented event it was for the Monica Lewinsky story to have gained as much traction as it did. Andrew Breitbart talks about it in his latest book. The MSM did their best to keep the story hush hush. When Drudge broke it and it became big news, the MSM decided that they were going to go after the GOP like never before, because they were so outraged over their inability to protect a Democrat POTUS. That’s the root of all the Bush hatred. So as we wring our hands over the fact that the MSM refuses to cover any of Obama’s scandals, we should keep in mind just how dedicated they are to killing these kind of stories. They’d probably sacrifice their own children to save Obama’s Presidency.

O’ahu has more golf courses than any other island in the 50th State, and there are 2 other courses in Kailua alone, and one in Waimanalo, the next town down. Also a couple in Kaneohe, the next town up (the same town where the Marine Base and its associated golf course is)
In the past 3 years O’bama has played at most of those, namely the ultra-elite Mid-Pacific Country Club, as well as Luana Hills (both in Kailua) and Olomana in Waimanalo. But AFAIK he’s never played Koolau in Kaneohe, which has a rep as the toughest course in the US (slope rating 152 from the back tees).

I didn’t call him a name, I stated what he did on vacation. I am respectful of the office. Both attained the office, though Bush did it by court order, but I believe they should be called President or by their last name. I prefer Obama, as a democrat, but whining about what He does on vacation is not going to get you the win. It just makes you look petty. Bush played golf.

What persuades a group of fellow citizens that they made the wrong choice? Stories like this seem to bring forth outrage from the people that did not vote for President Obama last time but only seem to produce indifference or a vociferous defense from those that voted for him.
