Got an Obamateurism of the Day? If you see a foul-up by Barack Obama, e-mail it to me at obamaisms@edmorrissey.com with the quote and the link to the Obamateurism. I’ll post the best Obamateurisms on a daily basis, depending on how many I receive. Include a link to your blog, and I’ll give some link love as well. And unlike Slate, I promise to end the feature when Barack Obama leaves office.

Thanos on December 18, 2011 at 10:57 AM
As always, I don’t consider it an amateurism to intentionally lie to your constituency, or to abuse your authority.
From this week’s “all the above” offerings, however, I had to stick with the Resident’s ridiculous self-assessment. Amateurish not in it’s obvious lack of truth, but in the clearly delusional condition it exposes. As I’ve said numerous times recently, if the GOP cannot make the case for why this Marxist must not be allowed further access to power, then it should be the end of the Republican party.

So… what is the leading bet on what day Obama will be scooting off to Hawaii?

But..but..but despite all of the above comments, the Golden Boy is really really likeable. All of the MSM polls tell us so.
kenny on December 18, 2011 at 10:40 AM
And it’s not just the MSM. Many of the FOW news commentators make the same comment. How can you find someone likeable that lies anytime he is speaking? There is no way I could find this person likeable.
Ditka3 on December 18, 2011 at 11:18 AM
It was #1 or #5 for me…so I went with #5.
Why? Because he is such an idiot! I really, really, really want to see his college transcripts. I think where the grades should be they will be marked….’PRESENT…..’PASS’…or…’FAIL’
KOOLAID2 on December 18, 2011 at 11:18 AM
Actually, that would be Governor Perry.

YEA! WELL THANKS ALOT PAL!
When I couldn’t get in…I looked forward to to these because I COULD vote and feel like part of the family.
Now? It feels like “MATH IS HARD!” and I get migraines trying to pick just one! THANKS!
KOOLAID2 on December 18, 2011 at 11:30 AM
I had to vote for forgetting Ruth’s name.
Yeah the other instances are far worse but I doubt they are accidental. The huckster believes he can take whichever side of the coin suits the crowd de jour, as he’s apparently convinced we’re too stupid and/or the media will provide enough cover for him to get away with it.
Latest example, his handlers (I.e. 60. Minutes), realize he may be jumping the shark with hs 4th best president brag, so no worries, we’ll edit that bit out. If Bush would have said that, which of course he wouldn’t, it would be the lead quote in the promo commercial, on every5 minutes up until show time.

I was out for most of yesterday, so if this showed up in the Headlines I apologize.
Ironic, isn’t it?
Flora Duh on December 18, 2011 at 11:36 AM
Unbelievable that this guy rates himself as the 4th best President with such a huge record of failure.
….then he doubles down on stupid by putting “Johnson” up there to…..why not stick Carter at No.1 while you’re at it.
When Obama gets out of office….there are going to be so many horror stories coming out showcasing the delusional ego and incredible narcissism coming from this President and his pompous wife.
Baxter Greene on December 18, 2011 at 9:41 AM
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Hey Buddy Baxter!
In yesterdays Laurel & Hardy comments (the picture with Mitt & Newt trying not to hold hands)…alot of people were asking about you!
They went through this with canapfor…don’t do that! Now, where is OC?
KOOLAID2 on December 18, 2011 at 11:44 AM
I’m always a little surprised when I click “vote to see results” and find that I voted with the majority here, given the degree of difficulty in narrowing down the choices.
I’ve never had the impression that Obama was “smart”, so I can eliminate all the “crazy like a fox” theories straight up and this helps. However, when it comes time to separate his legitimately amateur statements and actions from the truly corrupt or malicious ones, the choices become far more… um, nuanced.

I continue to like how The Won gets to have it both ways without question by the watchdogs for the American public. So I picked his being shocked at the nature of our financial difficulties while not overestimating them.

Not a surprise that Obama screwed up Justice Ginsburg’s name.
Remember when he read Michael off the teleprompter instead of Michelle?
A media-fabricated genius.

@ “Rio Linda Refugee”:
SOME of us are — ahem — able to make rhetorical statements and to recognize the difference between “rhetorical” from the rest.
In my case, in addition to making my earlier, rhetorical remark about why there’s no option to vote “all of the above,” I have (as in all QOTW previous posts) made a specific selection for one option out of the many presented, but I also note that all of the Obama-Quotes are among the “Worst Possible”.
Thus, “all of the above” applies. In this post as to the quotes of consideration, and with all the others. Obama outdoes himself all by himself as to his incompetency.
Lourdes on December 18, 2011 at 12:23 PM
No, he couldn’t refer to Ginsburg by name because he has submitted “her” to memory with the definition (his) of “the old Joooo lady”.
Lourdes on December 18, 2011 at 12:25 PM
For it being a Sunday morning, there sure are a lot of people here who lack imaginations or inspiration, otherwise.
I *DID* and *DO* vote for specific selections in all QOTW posts. I just pointed out to everyone above kindergarten — in a rhetorical statement — that ALL of Obama’s quotes each week are expressions of outrageous incompetence, if not illiteracy and likely, an ongoing indication of a guy who is mentally ill, which latter conclusion I toss in now with these comments of mine.
Lourdes on December 18, 2011 at 12:36 PM
Apparently, for some here, the English language is MORE “HARD (than) MATH”.
Webster’s has an online dictionary that anyone can quickly access for definitions of highly unusual words such as “rhetorical”.
Lourdes on December 18, 2011 at 12:38 PM
I had to vote for Obamama comparing himself to other Presidents. That just goes to show how deluded the guy really is.
MrX on December 18, 2011 at 12:47 PM
After a bit of thought it seems that the Obamateurism of the day would never change.
It can be listed as a single word………Obama!

a1776patriot on December 18, 2011 at 1:52 PM
Voted for #3.
No worries for Obama. The MSM, Hollywood film makers & liberal professors will rewrite history making him one of the greatest Presidents of all time.
In 2008 the sleeping giant was awakened to the frightening fact that the Left had hijacked our country and their tentacles were everywhere. We still have a lot of catch up to do even if Obama is defeated and we all must make it our mission to combat the indoctrination of future generations.
In other words screen capture everything.
redridinghood on December 18, 2011 at 1:57 PM
The word humble is not in the ONE’s dictionary. Does it matter if he’s dumb or smart or whether his intentions are good or bad? If anyone in the private sector had his job performance, they’d be fired. Then again, the whole lot of them should be run out of town, including people supposedly on our side.

“Tonight We Heard President Bush Say That The Surge In Iraq Is Working, When We Know That’s Just Not True.” Obama
“I am not persuaded that 20,000 additional troops in Iraq is going to solve the sectarian violence there,” he told MSNBC. “In fact, I think it will do the reverse.” Obama
“We remember the surge and we remember the Awakening — when the abyss of chaos turned toward the promise of reconciliation. By battling and building block by block in Baghdad, by bringing tribes into the fold and partnering with the Iraqi army and police, you helped turn the tide toward peace.” Obama

Nevermind, Johnson, F.D.R, and Lincoln are possible exceptions.
He’s so much better than any president in history, he has to reach down to find exceptions.

Every week I have to make a critical, too me, conclusion.
By averages, it shouldn’t be this hard.

Obama is dumb as a rock. No wonder he won’t release college transcripts (although they would probably raise more questions, like how does a mediocre student at Occidental manage a third-year transfer to Columbia?).
Adjoran on December 18, 2011 at 5:03 PM
I can’t believe these are still getting even tougher to pick.
Coronagold on December 18, 2011 at 5:50 PM
I can’t even pick any more. At first my criteria were: “What would be embarrassing for ANY president, not just Obama and not just a Democrat?” ….but then those kinds of mistakes became so common that I moved on to: “What’s the out-and-out lie or deception of the bunch?” ….but then those, too, became a weekly occurrence, so my new standard is “What’s the most damaging?” But honestly, between the lies, the idiocy, and the actions that overtly weaken our Republic, I can’t even tell any more.
Obamateurisms should be funny, but in most cases, they’re upsetting. Obama is the biggest bruise ever to blossom in America, but I fear he’s just a symptom of a much more serious condition. This is what happens when we don’t teach civics in America any more, but we still allow teenagers to vote. (I say this as a 20-something.)

Chris Wallace stated today that Zero hasn’t sat down with GOP congressional leaders for FIVE MONTHS. Wonder how that golf handicap is faring?
Absolutely >believable< with this narcissist.
This type of info (along with his 'Republicans can ride in the back seat' rhetoric ) should be contrasted with his 2008 bi-partisanhip promise and plastered on RNC-sponsered commercials for the next year…
Use his own d*mning words, over and over.
litebeam1 on December 18, 2011 at 9:42 PM
Given only the above list, not counting the hundreds of such examples of incompetence over the past three years, who would vote for this WH occupant? A vote for him now, by anyone is indefensible.
FireBlogger on December 18, 2011 at 9:47 PM
C’mon, FB.
To think this upcoming election won’t be razor-close would be foolish.
Those wanting gov’t handouts and a socialist model will overlook everything and anything to re-elect this clown.
And they’ll stop at nothing to destroy the opposition…eg: Sarah Palin.

ALL-TIME GREATEST OOTD. Here goes. This dates from February of 2010, during the “health care” debating. It’s the one about the T-shirt. Here’s the full paragraph:
I got a letter — I got a note today from one of my staff — they forwarded it to me — from a woman in St. Louis who had been part of our campaign, very active, who had passed away from breast cancer. She didn’t have insurance. She couldn’t afford it, so she had put off having the kind of exams that she needed. And she had fought a tough battle for four years. All through the campaign she was fighting it, but finally she succumbed to it. And she insisted she’s going to be buried in an Obama t-shirt.
To think that the suffering, illness, and painful death of a woman are nothing more than a campaign speech for him!!
If you can stand watching it, it’s at:
