Aw: Some occupiers so traumatized they may need therapy

posted at 2:30 pm on December 4, 2011 by Jazz Shaw

Sometimes when the going gets rough, you need a wee bit of schadenfreude to lighten the load. For your weekend dose of this tonic, we turn to the heartfelt story of some OWS occupiers who are so traumatized by their interaction with the public, the police and the 1%ers that they may now require therapy for post traumatic something-or-other.

Most of the roughly 300 Occupy L.A. protesters were released from jail by Friday evening, with some immediately speaking out on the police raid that cleared their camp.

One speaker suggested that some of those arrested might need therapy. Several said they felt traumatized after witnessing police use nonlethal force and being forced to wait for hours in zip-tie handcuffs. Some displayed cuts on their wrists from the handcuffs. Others complained that they were forced to urinate in bags on the bus as they were transported to jails.

Sometimes they just serve up a softball which is simply too easy to knock out of the park. And the fact is, I really am a caring, sympathetic, empathetic human being, chock full of the milk of human kindness. I’m simply not the kind of heartless bastage who can sit down on Sunday and begin bashing these poor protesters during their hour of need.

So, with that in mind, let’s visit some other heartless bastages who are fully equipped to do just that.

First up: William Teach at Right Wing News

These are the people that are going to change the world? They can’t even witness police arresting other filth infused squatters without becoming emotional to the point they need therapy.

The Jammie Wearing Fool is, if at all possible, even less sympathetic.

What happened to all the bravado and talk that they were in a war against The Man? Turns out they’re nothing but a bunch of sniveling little ******s.

My partner in crime, Rick Moran, chimes in at The American Thinker.

Cue the world’s smallest violin…

I don’t know. What do you think? Show of hands for those who believe it is a “violation of human rights” to have to piss into a bag on a bus?

Methinks the spoiled brats believed that getting arrested was like being grounded by mommy and daddy. Perhaps they believed it would be heroic. Maybe they thought it would be fun. No doubt they all see themselves as martyrs.

Earth to protestors: Resisting arrest is no joke. Martyrdom isn’t painless. Heroes are those who do the arresting, not the other way around. And no matter what you think about the nanny state, the police ain’t your momma.

I suppose that’s enough abuse for one day. And I’m sure most of you will be far more sympathetic and appropriately chastise me for my heartless diversions. So, I’ll just apologize in advance. Sorry.

I suggest an intensive in-patient therapy that will boost feelings of self efficacy and self esteem. I’m pretty sure it’s paid for by the government and they even offer a stipend. All meals are included and the therapists seem to be very willing to lead the group therapy sessions enthusiastically. Check it out!

If they had been maced or water hosed, they still don’t deserve to complain. You do the crime; you do the time. Frankly the cost of clean up should be split up amongst all of those they arrested as a fine.

Some occupiers so traumatized they may need therapy

I think many of the Occupiers could use therapy, and really might be entitled to it.
.
These things must be handled carefully … therapy at a location famous for its theraputic qualities is de rigeur … we must have results.
.
There are many, let us call them “resorts”, in California, in the Napa and Sonoma counties, the Salinas Valley, the Imperial Valley, even the San Joaquin Valley, and elsewhere … truly wide open spaces, some with a view of the mountains, all with acreage, really, vast acreage … yet, unlike Occupy Wall Street, with no sanitation problems: there are port-a-johns in abundance available.
.
And the air … no smog, no infernal combustion engine pollution there (well, maybe a little) … just fresh “organic” smells, like “cow” … but, the Occupy veterans have already been exposed to ringworm, lice, scabies, prbably TB … brucillosis and hoof-and-mouth should be mild annoyances at worst.
.
And, best of all, the days activities are all planned … with well-defined measures of success …
.
… all the occupiers need to do is master use of certain simple, very eco-friendly hand tools: hoes, maybe a melon knife, other Gaia-friendly implements.

.

Others complained that they were forced to urinate in bags on the bus as they were transported to jails.

As opposed to urinating in public or crapping on police cars?

The cops should have tazed them randomly so they’d pee in their pants instead of on our taxpayer funded public parks.

BacaDog on December 4, 2011 at 4:46 PM

And a bath.

Ronnie on December 4, 2011 at 4:48 PM

The obvious is being overlooked here:

OWS appealed to people who needed therapy (and still do because the OWS events and process has predictably amplified or agitated their pre-existing emotional and mental issues).

This happens all the time among people with instabilities: put them in a closed environment with others who also have instabilities, one or a few of them start acting-out and they agitate everyone else eventually and, presto, you get mayhem among a mass of people.

OWS simply appealed to people who were already unstable, drawn to an offer to ‘assist’ them in their instability.

And I think Rick Moran’s quote is just about right.

The trauma will really start for these OWS’s when they step out of their fictional world into the real world where people expect you to pull your own weight, behave yourself, have good personal hygiene, be punctual, and have the ability to communicate well and work with others. That Phd in some obscure venue will have no value on the streets of survival.

Like I said before; not many revolutionaries expect police protection and respect for their civil rights.

Just like little Billie and Suzy; they wanted a revolution, they said they wanted bodies, then they ran and hid and got great paying jobs at universities.

In fact you were lucky if you only got your skull cracked by a billy-club!

Not to mention the protesters of the 60′s, they too took far more lumps than these spoiled brats! They just don’t make dirty, smelly, filthy hippies like they used to!

my cats have to tingle in a plastic box everyday and they’re not complaining…

there are some people who appear to be nearly born sociopaths with profound psychopathic disorders that start manifesting when they’re quite young -often times no matter what environment they’re raised in. here we find the really ruthless with no conscience- serial killers and rapists, violent thugs, con men, washington politicians.

then there are entire generations that appear to have been encouraged by all the social institutions associated with children to be sociopaths-self absorbed conscienceless narcissists whose only conception of the entire world is that it is here solely to serve their whims and provide for their wants.they have no empathy for others and no conception of how their own behaviors and actions effect others . when they have transgressed against others or against the law they are startled, humiliated, and deeply offended when they suffer any repercussions. it’s a profound personality disorder encouraged by their society, by their parents.

and that’s OWS- Generation Sociopath. the malignant sociopathic hippies like billy ayers and psycho dohrn, the black panthers-this is the world they dreamed of. despite all the indulgences afforded OWS they’re shocked they’re not ‘ free as a bird-guilty as sin’ .OWS can’t even see they’ve done anything wrong especially since cities are still aiding and abetting their law breaking. “if I brought about the Revolution-why am i peeing in a bag and under arrest? ” maybe they thought they should rather have been given personalized cupcakes and trophies for participation.

I live in Hollywood and there was a “Support the Occupiers” rally yesterday here. And by “rally”, I mean about 25 people were waving flags on Santa Monica Blvd and then ..umm.. “marched” a couple of blocks to Plummer Park. I was at Plummer Park with my one year old and the thing that struck me was the fact that absolutely no one cared. They gathered in the middle of the park and did the routine of giving everyone a chance to talk the microphone and talk about their feeling and no one even looked at them, much less walked over to where they were. One guy had a sign that said “Stop the Wars, Free Bradley Manning” and a bunch had gay rainbow flags that I guarantee you they had at home from Prop 8 rallies. Complete nonevent. It was a big reminder of what a complete fringe element the Occupiers are.
