Most transparent administration ever seals Gunwalker records on agent’s death

posted at 2:25 pm on November 30, 2011 by Jazz Shaw

We mentioned it earlier today, so I suppose I shouldn’t have been quite as gobsmacked as I was to find out about this. Eric Holder doesn’t like to have people asking questions about Gunwalker. Obama is doing “everything he can” to make sure he gets to the bottom of it. But even if we assume he will get to the bottom of it, he may be the only one to know when he does.

Obama Admin Seals Records of Murdered Border Patrol Agent Implicated in Fast and Furious

The Obama Administration has abruptly sealed court records containing alarming details of how Mexican drug smugglers murdered a U.S. Border patrol agent with a gun connected to a failed federal experiment that allowed firearms to be smuggled into Mexico.

This means information will now be kept from the public as well as the media. Could this be a cover-up on the part of the “most transparent” administration in history? After all, the rifle used to kill the federal agent (Brian Terry) last December in Arizona’s Peck Canyon was part of the now infamous Operation Fast and Furious. Conducted by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the disastrous scheme allowed guns to be smuggled into Mexico so they could eventually be traced to drug cartels.

I’m not going to issue a complete and total condemnation on this one… yet. This is, after all, an investigation involving the murder of our law enforcement officers and the actual shooters are not definitively wrapped up. I suppose it’s possible that they want to keep something in the bag until all the bad guys are safely behind bars or at room temperature. But this all happened some time back, and at this point the investigation isn’t pointing so much at the drug cartel bad guys as at the amazing – if not criminal – incompetence which allowed them to get the weapons in their hands to do the deed in the first place.

It looks bad. And of course it may well turn out to be every bit as bad as it looks. But if a reasonable explanation is forthcoming, the details are all opened up at the appropriate time and all accountable parties are brought to justice… OK. That’s a lot of “ifs” there. But we’ll definitely keep an eye on it.

BULLSHIT!

Barry isn’t going to throw Holder under the bus for the simple reasons that Holder knows ‘what Barry knew, and when he knew it’.

This was nothing more than “getting the numbers up” on the amount of weapons that could be “traced” back to US gun shops. They damned well knew they couldn’t ‘trace’ guns once they crossed the border. Was some Drug Kingpin going to SIGN A FREAKING RECEIPT for the weapons?

As always and especially with Socialist-Marxist types – there is a political calculation to be made.

In this case they weighed the political implications of sealing the records with the implications of them being known – that should tell you something right there.

My guess is that El Presidente Downgrade has completely forgot that he promised to find out and well hold somebody accountable, on Walkergate way back in March.

If this were a competent administration, these files would have been sealed months ago. But since Eric Holder is in charge, even the cover-ups are mis-timed and bungled.

Meanwhile back in the White House we hear, “Why am I surrounded by incompetent bunglers. WHY?!?”

“Because you hired them, sir. They are the best incompetent bunglers money could buy.”

In early 2010, Gary Grindler was intimately involved in all aspects of Operation Fast and Furious. During the height of the operation, Grindler visited the President on four separate occasions in only two weeks — his only documented meetings with the president at the White House.

Newly released White House Visitor Logs list Grindler as having visited the White House 40 times, but only four times with the President himself. All four meetings with the President occurred over a two-week period, between 7 May 2010 and 19 May 2010. . .

As long ad the marxist dhimpcrapts control the senate, there will be no investigation and the records can remain sealed. No impeachment is possible with the senate as it is. Remember, Nixon was able to put off his demise until he had no defense in his secong term. Even if obama is reelected, if the Senate becomes controlled by the conservatives, impeachment is just a special prosecutor and investigation away. This is really dumb on the obama administration. If BO had any smarts, he would throw Holder to the wolves, or we are going to get a lot of Liddys etc. next term.

The administration denied it at the time and questioned the agents’ integrity. The men were nervous and scared. They said they feared for their careers, their reputation and their families.

Dodson continued to challenge Voth, saying the operation was killing people in Mexico and suggested it was only a matter of time before a “border agent or sheriff’s deputy” would be killed by one of the guns they let go.

“If you’re going to make an omelet, you’ve got to scramble some eggs,” Voth replied, according to a congressional report.

John @ Power Line

The Obama administration takes the position, apparently, that the public and Congress have no legitimate interest in a federal program that deliberately equipped Mexican drug dealers with thousands of weapons and led to the deaths of an American border patrol agent and hundreds of Mexicans. Consistent with that view, it has sealed court records relating to the murder of border agent Brian Terry. The Obama administration gives the impression that it increasingly regards democracy as an inconvenience.

Once again, thank you to all of those conservative voters who stayed home in November of 2008 “to teach the Republicans a lesson.”

Obama Admin Seals Records of Murdered Border Patrol Agent Implicated in Fast and Furious

Anyone who knows the meaning of the words IMPLICATED and MURDERED can see the deflection here…

Brian Terry is not the one implicated those that walked or through direction or negligence gave authority for those guns to walk are the ones implicated. Also the term murdered is not quite right if a fellow citizen had killed him then yes he was murdered…if he was killed by foreign Narco-terrorists he was assassinated…the narco-terrorist know before hand that they will kill any us law official that gets between them and their money and power!

RedLizard64 on December 1, 2011 at 10:09 AM

Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed by a cartel rip crew that used government intelligence to plot an armed robbery. The robbery turned into a murder when the rip crew encountered the BORTAC unit instead of the drug smugglers they expected to be there.

And both the DEA and FBI knew what their informant and his rip crew was up to before hand, and did nothing to deconflict with the Border Patrol or ATF, effectively setting up the BORTAC team to be ambushed.

Is anybody in charge at DOJ ?
