Video: Maybe the White House has an Internet problem

posted at 9:33 pm on November 3, 2011 by Tina Korbe

The president repeatedly asks where the Republicans’ jobs plan is. The other day, he even criticized the House of Representatives for failing to act on the issue of jobs, for dilly-dallying with a measure to reaffirm “In God We Trust” as the national motto.

It kinda begs the question: Does the White House have an Internet problem? Because the GOP jobs plan is available online, in screen-bright black and white at jobs.gop.gov.

While he’s online, the president might research another fact or two — like the economic indicators that suggest Americans really aren’t better off than they were four years ago.

This brief new video from the House Republican Conference sums it all up neatly:

Blowback

“Are you kidding me?!?”

Great, Boehner. Next time, ask him that to his face. It’s time someone did.

AubieJon on November 3, 2011 at 9:39 PM

The House this year has passed a budget with all kinds of job creation provisions built in and, by my count, some 15 to 20 other jobs incentive measures, all of which lay dormant in Reid’s Democrat Senate.
I’m officially changing Obama’s handle from SCOAMF to LSCOAMF, the L referring to Lying.

TXUS on November 3, 2011 at 9:41 PM

He doesn’t have an Internet problem. He’s just hoping enough of us do to buy his b.s.

Jim Treacher on November 3, 2011 at 9:42 PM

Your question is easily answered. The Media which will never call Obama on any failure. A media that can make people believe that a movement based on smaller less intrusive govt, lower taxes and spending, more individual liberty is somehow fascistic, is a media powerful enough to do anything to reelect Obama.

xkaydet65 on November 3, 2011 at 9:43 PM

It’s called ‘rhetoric’ and ‘narrative’, Ms Korbe.
And it very often has nothing to do wtih the truth / facts on the ground.

DUH!!!

He needs a disfunctional, irrelevant Congress so that he can use his all consuming, all powerful EXECUTIVE ORDER resource.

Then he’ll have a compliant media servicing his message and hailing his “decisive leadership”.

I don’t know who started this whole Executive Order thingy but who or what could prevent him from declaring martial law tomorrow and putting people into camps that objected to his orders?

Is this still a Republic?

Democrats revive financial transaction tax idea
Wed Nov 2, 2011 3:51pm EDT
**************************

Reuters) – A new tax on financial transactions would be imposed under legislation unveiled on Wednesday by two Democratic congressmen, refocusing attention on an idea that has so far gained little traction.

With the G20 expected to resume its transaction tax debate this week,

Representative Peter DeFazio and Senator Tom Harkin

proposed a 0.03 percent tax on stock, bond and derivative trades. It would take effect, if adopted, in 2013.

Why else would the president not know the obvious?

Maybe because all the terminals at the White House accessing the internet were clicked on hotair with all the staff enjoying Herman Cain being lynched.

canopfor on November 3, 2011 at 10:09 PM

coldwarrior on November 3, 2011 at 9:59 PM

Joe has a problem counting letters in short words.
He keeps typing job.gop.gov and Google responds “did you mean jobs.gop.gov?”
After that he tells Obama that the Republicans want to tank the country.
The rest is history.

Electrongod on November 3, 2011 at 10:09 PM

It’s The Big Lie, repeat it over and over again, and people will believe it (or not).

Anything the republicans produce, just reject it by saying it’s not a jobs plan. Or it won’t work, or we’ve tried that, or .. or .or.

Democrats LIE. Once you finally accept that, once you finally accept the idea that OBAMA LIES, then you have to consider that everything Obama says is a lie, falsehood, distortion, or half truth only in a certain context.

The mistake the GOP makes is accepting Obama’s context, framing, presumption, then they compound the mistake by attempting to produce something that meets Obama’s criteria. Which is, of course, the point. By continually rejecting everything the republicans produce, and demanding that the republicans accept OBAMA’s definitions, plans, policies, and ideology, Obama wins.

This isn’t complicated, and it baffles me that the leadership of the GOP, the best and brightest of the party, professionals one and all can’t figure it out. They keep playing the game by Obama’s rules.

A horse’s ass is a horse’s ass, of course, of course,
And no one can talk sense to a horse’s ass of course
And especially, of course, if the horse’s ass is the famous Barack Obama.

Go right to the source and ask the horse’s ass.
He’ll give you the answer that deceivers will endorse.
He’s always on a dissemblers course.
Talk to Barack Obama.

Barack Obama just yakkity yaks a streak and wastes your time of day
Does any sane person even believe anymore a single thing he has to say?
A horse’s ass is a horse’s ass, of course, of course,
And this one’ll talk in prevaricating circles til his voice is hoarse.
You never heard of a talking horse’s ass?

Well listen to this.

He is Barack Obama.

Obama’s not serious about jobs, as in, any “jobs plan.”

He’s serious about luxury vacations, more time to play golf, sittin’ down and drinkin’ his beer, havin’ more parties and that big ole’ plane with all the help.

He wants to get re-elected so he can continue wrecking the U.S.A. And spendin’ other people’s money.

PappyD61 on November 3, 2011 at 9:54 PM

This whole Executive Order thingy was started by President Abraham Lincoln. Prior to that EOs were simply used to observe holidays or make proclamations of such (i.e. The flag will be flown at half staff to remember the passing/birth of xxx).

It wasn’t until the Civil War that EOs were raised to force of law and every President since then has used them to some degree or other. Some famous ones would be Harry Truman’s desegregation order (1947) concerning the military and/or Woodrow Wilson’s re-segregation order (1914) which fired all black civil servants and employees of the federal government as well as fully segregating the U.S. Military.

jimver on November 4, 2011 at 12:57 AM

Obama is a serial liar. Stop the presses.

This isn’t anything new. He’s played fast and loose with the truth all along, but since being elected he doesn’t even try to sound plausible, to make his lies defensible. He just says what he wants to say to arouse the passions of his troops.

Obama understands that anyone who would even consider supporting him for reelection is either so partisan they don’t care about truth or so stupid they can’t tell the difference.

Adjoran on November 4, 2011 at 1:16 AM

When the White House gets its internet back, maybe Jay Carney can look up the Bible verse that says, “God helps those who help themselves.” Because I doubt they have an ACTUAL Bible in the White House…

The U.S. President also took the opportunity to crack a joke at Mr Sarkozy’s expense as he congratulated him on the birth of his daughter Giulia with his supermodel wife Carla Bruni. ‘I’m confident that Giulia inherited her mother’s looks, rather than her father’s,’ he said.
Our president is a horse’s ass.

You know, if Sarkozy wanted to, he could have made a funny (and all too true) come-back pointing out that, before his daughters were born, Barry was probably hoping his daughters did not inherit their mother’s looks. But then, Sarkozy probably wouldn’t want to make himself look like he’s as much of an ass as Barry is.
