Though he won’t say so, the answer is yes.

Leftists love crime because it gives them an excuse to attack our rights, and especially the rights that most preserve our liberty.

They promote policies that empower and embolden criminals on the one hand, and policies that disenfranchise legitimate citizens on the other, who then have no where to turn but to the state.

A nation of castrated cowards is easier to control.

Maybe, but you’all seem to be high-fiving because a purse snatcher who tried to scare a civilian by brandishing a gun got shot and killed.

I can’t believe I have to ask this question, but you made it necessary.

What if the woman who was pistol-whipped had instead pulled out a gun and shot the bastard? Would you think she was justified in doing so? Of course not, you think she should have prayed for survival and cowered in the fetal position, as you obviously would have (minus the praying, I imagine).

One thing to note is, in almost all cases of the death or injury of a perpetrator, their families will come forward to cry and claim that the perp was a “gentle guy” who never did anything wrong. Chances are, they’ll have a gaggle of kids spread out by different mothers, and so they were “good fathers to their children”. All this goes for women too. Bullmanure. Their families are dysfunctional and after litigated money, and they, themselves, were deadbeat opportunists. It does not justify what they do, because they still live in a lawful society that demonstrates and gives a choice. They just make the laziest, easiest, wrong one.

Evanovich got what he was asking for. Hopefully, so did his sleazy sister.

- The “Good Samaritan” didn’t chase the bad guys, he stopped to help the injured person.

- Like it or not, purse snatchers don’t deserve to be shot dead. That’s the same sort of thinking that had an audience cheering the number of criminals put to death in Texas.

- When we no longer expect our police to handle criminals but instead choose to rely on gunplay by civilians we’ve entered an entirely new phase of our American experiment.

- A guy with a “concealed carry” permit used the gun to put three bullets in the head of a police officer while he lay on the ground defenseless not 1 mile from my home in a Northeastern suburban town. We’ve never had a policeman murdered here in more than 175 years before.

- Just pray that the next time the guy who shot this purse-snatcher doesn’t miss and hit some “collateral damage.”

1: did not know this.

2: He didn’t shoot a purse snatcher… he shot someone who shoved a gun in his face and decided to shoot back. Very different crime. Also a warranted response.

Also… who said that the purse snatcher hasn’t killed anyone.

3: Welcome to Chicago or East Saint Louis. This is already happening there… and it’s terrible. There are entire regions of both cities where the cops already won’t go (despite the fact that taxpayers in said areas still pay taxes). There are also other major metro areas where some people sadly live in such areas. That being said… it’s only terrible because legal civilians can’t carry. We had something like this before… it was called the wild west. Not saying it’s perfect, but it’s preferable to have armed legal civilians with the right to defend themselves in absentia of any competent law enforcement then it is to have the completely unarmed and unprotected… at least in my view.

4: While such a crime is extremely regrettable, let us not forget that there are many cases of ILLEGAL gun use ending up in someone dead that the cops and the law failed to stop as well. Let me also remind us all that the ratio of crimes with illegal guns vs crimes with legal guns is quite staggering in favor of the former. Let me also remind us all that all crime is extremely regrettable.

5: All concealed carry holders know of this risk. AT least they intend to make sure their shots count… as opposed to criminals blindly firing at targets at a drive by. It’s also a well established fact that cops tend to be terrible shots under stress.

Maybe we’re all just wishing we could go back to the old “wild west” days where everybody was “packing” and there was no crime.

Professional Law Enforcement will NEVER be ANY citizen’s “first Line of defense” against crime, violent or otherwise.

The Founding Fathers NEVER intended for Professional Law Enforcement to do ‘all the physical work’ of catching (arresting) criminals, violent or otherwise.

Since WWII, the U.S. population has mostly ‘evolved’ into a bunch of spoiled ‘candy-asses.’
And now our Civil Authorities are rating/grading ALL of us by the ‘lowest common denominator.’
None of us common citizens are esteemed ‘worthy/capable’ of properly exercising physical force in catching and arresting lawbreakers, OR EVEN SELF DEFENSE.

How this story has gone until now (I understand it’s not necessarily over) is all too rare an event in our contemporary U.S.

No charges will be filed against the “Good Samaritan” who shot and killed a robber two weeks ago in the parking lot of a Cub Foods store in Minneapolis.

How ever the same level of understanding and respect needs to be given to a civilian who is merely trying to defend himself/herself…the good Samaritan was “not playing cop” exactly even though he does seem to possess a cop’s reflexes in shooting at the first signal of mortal danger..good for him

I used to live in downtown Minneapolis which i believe is a part of Hennepin county – I am SHOCKED… SHOCKED that the DA allowed the Good Samaritan to go.. this is a real dyed in the wool liberal city and liberals must be frothing at the mouth… there is a civilian lawsuit coming up and we all know it

Sweet, can you give me the last words of my grandfather? I’ve forgotten them, but since you can magically read the minds of dead people to know exactly what they were thinking, how they would have acted, and all that mystical stuff… you can help me out, right?

I’m thinking a guy who assaults a senior citizen, then pointed a gun at me might be a threat… but I can’t read minds like you can.

That or I’m just not as trusting in the pacifistic non-violent nature of violent criminals.

Or did you forget this guy whose only crime of “purse-snatching” also pistol whipped an elderly lady? I guess the old lady deserved to be assaulted? Who cares if she died, she wasn’t shot so clearly he wouldn’t really kill anyone… I guess.

I support your right to decline to take responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others as a matter of the first Amendment. Please support my right to defend myself and my loved ones as a matter of the second.

They screw up a perfectly simple armed mugging and gun waving threat of murder.
