By sticking with and clearly explaining core conservative values, the left’s identity politics dogma simply falls apart. Conservatism simply works, regardless of what particular ethnic group you happen to be.

Playing their game, we will always lose, because not only did they make the rules, they get to cheat at will without consequence. If you need an example, just look how the left is treating Cain. Playing by the left’s rules, he is far more “authentically black” than 0bama could ever hope to be. But because he’s a conservative, they change the rules, and the MSM never calls them on it.

It’s a game we can never win, except by simply not playing it.

He can’t remove them from K-12. He can’t deport them.

If TX wants to give a kid a chance to slap down the money and become a mechanic at community college while on the path to permanent residency, TX can’t be conservative?

Perry is trying to make the best of a situation he only has partial control over. No, he doesn’t hate illegals’ kids with a burning passion.

If that’s his “stance”, I’m okay with it.

I don’t mind the U.S. being a safe haven, but how about at least setting up a process that says you can run here but you still have to be lawfully processed. Jumping over the border and automatically being given every right of a citizen isn’t the way to do that.

The bad outcome of the U.S. “wet foot-dry foot” policy as to Cubans is among the incentives for people from other nations to enter and remain in the U.S. illegally, ESPECIALLY when they make use of the words, “I’m Latino” or “I’m Hispanic”.

People in nations other than Cuba have long complained and competed with Cubans for what they perceive to be “the Cuban privilege” of entering the U.S. without announcement or foreplanning (without permission, therefore, illegally) but being able to remain here and be granted citizenship despite arriving “illegally” in the context of what other illegals do (Cubans can “arrive here” and be granted citizenship while others cannot, while among Hispanic/Latino majority populations, this fuels a competition of sorts or an envious effort to do as Cubans do).

The ethnic-supremacy assumptions by Latino/Hispanic populations as to our laws and our nation deeply offends me. Cubans may “flee” their Castro-disaster, but it’s their disaster to begin with and the sense of the idea that one “flees” only to try to remake where you land into the original you left escapes me.

If the entire GOP turned minority overnight, the left will still play the race card. It’s a game we cannot win with the left – time we stopped playing.

Why doesn’t someone make the case that the that the the Civil Rights Movement, which really began in the ’50s, was hijacked in the ’60s by the counterculture socialist movement.

The original 1950s Civil Rights movement had for it’s leaders Christian believing, godly men.

It was then taken-over in the 1960s by hardcore counterculture atheistic revolutionariess.

These revolutionaries succeeded in blurring the differences between the two movements so much, that now any attempt at overturning the liberal social-political changes from the ’60s AND ’70s (I think the worst changes were in the ’70s) is the moral equivalence of trying to re-impose ethnic segregation and prejudice.

Cruz also spoke at a private biannual get together of conservatives from across the nation, this weekend, and drew a standing ovation, as did Allen West at the same gathering.

I like a lot of what Ted Cruz has to say. Not everything, I think we need an immigration moratorium, not be even more welcoming which I have a hard time understanding how we could possibly be.
