Video: Hitler and America’s holocaust

posted at 6:15 pm on September 27, 2011 by Tina Korbe

When I clicked “play” on this video and saw that it was more than 30 minutes long, I thought I’d just watch the first few minutes and then move on. But once I started, I couldn’t stop. It’s one of the most gripping pieces I’ve ever encountered. But be forewarned: It contains graphic images and explores powerful ideas. Watching it was a very emotional experience for me and I suspect it might be for others, also.

Abortion is the one issue about which I can never see shades of gray. The legal questions surrounding the issue might be complex, but, as Ray Comfort says in the video, Adolf Hitler didn’t do anything legally wrong. What he did was morally wrong — and, somehow, some way, nearly everyone knows that.

We’re in a profound state of denial about the most fundamental flaw in our society, about our disregard for the sanctity of human life. But, with education, the scales fall from our eyes and we see abortion for what it is. Future generations will be utterly shocked, heartbroken and angry that we allowed this holocaust to happen under the protection of law, the pretense of choice and the fear of appearing intolerant or judgmental. How have we let this happen? More than 50 million precious, innocent babies …

All that’s necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to stand by and do nothing.

If abortion is murder, what punishment is appropriate for the young girls who commit it?

Can’t have a law without a punishment for breaking it. It violates the concept of the rule of law.

I ask Tina specifically.

Please stop sullying Adolf Hitler’s name by comparing him to the mass murdering left (and in the case of many libertarians, right). At least Hitler was a decorated war veteran who had the balls to go against heavily armed men, not just innocent helpless people. Liberals just go after children and the elderly.

Abortion is our Slavery. The nation (or at least half of it) was wrong 200 years ago, but we’re just as wrong by allowing abortion.

“Abortion Macht Frei”

Hening on September 27, 2011 at 6:28 PM

We let this happen because people believe slogans instead of facts. If you have been around long enough you have seen pro abortion become pro choice and then women’s health. Slaughtering an unborn baby has become a right. Allowing a baby to freeze to death on a bare stainless steel table has become accepted.

I bet you have even voted for a candidate who voted for abortions. How did this happen? Look in the mirror. Shame on us single issue voters.

50 million is the low count, by the way.

I’m sorry, but you must be young, or led a sheltered life, or are poorly educated in world history.

A friend of mine sent me the link last night. I didn’t bother with much more than a few minuets. Was there a point? A conclusion? Something to be learned from it?

Anti-semitism is on the rise, in the news, and no one cares? No one notices, no one seems to understand what that means. Some (few) random individuals are ignorant, and this is news? Have you ever understood ‘normal distribution’, a.k.a. the dreaded ‘bell curve‘?

You have never watched Jay Leno’s Tonight Show where he does man on the street interviews with random people?

I’m sorry, but if you found this ‘gripping’, you have a poor grasp of reality. Ever heard of some place called ‘Africa’? Know any of the history of that continent? Do I have to look it up for you? (Genocide in Africa)

They are certainly braver than the left whose odds of getting killed for the monstrous atrocities they are responsible for on a daily basis are nearly non-existent even if they are hardcore abortionists. This is the first time in history where a group of people have committed atrocities of this magnitude and risked so little to do it.

First, if it is illegal you go after the providers. Just making it illegal would most likely reduce abortions by 90%+. Second, you give out stiff penalties to those who perform abortions. Say 20 years to life. Finally you sterilize adult women who receive abortions plus some small amount of time in jail. Don’t want this child? Fine. You aren’t fit to have any children. Adult men who facilitate an abortion for their GF or wife are treated like abortion performers and get steralized as well.

Minors wouldn’t be sterilized. But parents of minors who facilitate an abortion would be treated like those who perform abortions. Minors would only be punished if they sought out an abortion on their own with some sort of court mandated penalty.

These are human beings being slaughtered. Punish those doing the slaughtering. It is really simple.

apollyonbob on September 27, 2011 at 6:21 PM

Not Tina, but I feel like answering.
Of course that will never come to pass, nor should it be administered retrospectively if it were. But what is the usual sentence for killing a human life? Perhaps involuntary manslaughter depending on the trimester and actual punishment determined by age, community service or something? Purely hypothetical. The gruesome practice should never have been legalized in the first place–the radical left, activist judges and a desensitized public are to blame here, not the innocent.

Bee on September 27, 2011 at 6:45 PM

Well Skandia, Hitler and Sanger both agreed about eugenics and the important of racial ‘fitness.’ Sanger just didn’t approve of the more aggressive methods of eugenics.

That’s probably the most darkly humorous thing about Planned Parenthood; Sanger herself wasn’t even a fan of abortion. A direct quote:

“While there are cases where even the law recognizes an abortion as justifiable if recommended by a physician, I assert that the hundreds of thousands of abortions performed in America each year are a disgrace to civilization.”

Good Solid B-Plus on September 27, 2011 at 6:45 PM

When you can make out a human?

If appearances were a part of the definition you’d be used as a test chimp by a make-up company right about now.

When the baby can feel pain?

When the heart starts? When the brain begins functioning?

It starts with Hitler and the Holocaust, moves to whether the interviewees would be willing to take a moral stand or not, shifts to talking about abortion, covers the 10 Commandments, and proclaims the Good News of Jesus’ death on the cross providing salvation for us from the just rewards of our sins. The logic is hard to refute.

So please watch the video first before you spout off anymore. Then if you disagree with something you can at least make an informed statement.

The selfishness of legalized abortion in modern day America has somehow managed to make Herod the Great look like some sort of “champion of altruism”. After all, Herod was only trying to dispose of a single child that he saw as a threat to his kingdom. All the others were merely “collateral damage”.

In stark contrast, OUR slaughter of the innocents seems to know no bounds. Furthermore, we kill merely to avoid the “inconvenience” of child rearing — mostly because we are too irresponsible to face the consequences of our own actions.

On the day of judgement, when God’s justice is poured out on the wicked, who do you suppose will suffer the worst of it? All I can say is that I certainly wouldn’t want my own children, children who died blameless before God, to be the ones pointing their fingers at me.

Are you uncomfortable with the idea that the frail, pathetic logic used by the pro-murder lobby is as flimsy as cheap cardboard, and easily turned on its head?

blatantblue on September 27, 2011 at 7:13 PM

the most powerful video I have seen in a long time…maybe ever.

He changes minds…and leads some of these people to Christ in the process. Amazing.

Justrand on September 27, 2011 at 7:14 PM

Abortion is national stain on our nation’s morality. If we don’t have morals, we have nothing.

terryannonline on September 27, 2011 at 7:15 PM

My point is very simple. Humans do, and have done, horrific things, and if you are shocked, SHOCKED, at the horrific things, if you are shocked, repulsed by abortion, then you are incredible naive, and have led a very sheltered life.

Skandia Recluse on September 27, 2011 at 7:13 PM

This point of yours is, well, pointless.

Pablo Honey on September 27, 2011 at 7:12 PM

Just stop. You sound silly and lost. Any opinion piece ever written can be described as activism. It is not about activism, it is about the fact you do not want to confront the truth that is legalized murder.

NotCoach on September 27, 2011 at 7:17 PM

The RCC didn’t equate early-term abortion with murder until 1869. Apparently it saw shades of gray before then.

Seth Halpern on September 27, 2011 at 7:17 PM

Yes the video is preachy, and that is why I stopped watching it. Turned of me off, but the points remain. The logic used by people who support abortion is very flimsy.

I’d rather side with a bunch of Evangelicals any day over these life hating leftists.

Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you for posting this!
Did I say thank you? Thank you!

JellyToast on September 27, 2011 at 7:17 PM

Abortions didn’t start becoming commonplace until the seventies, how did the world turn before then?

You don’t know the definition of propaganda site. You realize that you are on Hot Air….. A blog full of conservative activists?

terryannonline on September 27, 2011 at 7:18 PM

Thanks for linking that, I got caught up instantly and watched it straight through. Great video!

How many posts do we have to sift through about how gay marriage is nothing to worry about? Here we finally have a good rebuttal to abortion and the freak out begins. When you look at the key values that justified slavery, the Holocaust and abortion, they are all the same. Power is given to someone else to decide whose life is worthy of life or has value. Untold evil results in denying that personhood exists from the moment of conception.

Blue Collar Todd on September 27, 2011 at 7:20 PM

No, it’s not about telling people they are like Hitler. It is about deconstructing their views on life, and the importance of it.

blatantblue on September 27, 2011 at 7:08 PM

It’s dis-similar situations, given a false link thru quick talking.

What’s funny is that he tells you he’s doing it right at the beginning. Spell “stop” S T O P – now what do you do at a green light?

lorien1973 on September 27, 2011 at 7:21 PM

WOW

Grunt on September 27, 2011 at 7:22 PM

I cannot believe that people don’t know of the absolute evil of Hitler, Lenin, Stalin.

Chip on September 27, 2011 at 6:25 PM

I bet they know who was eliminated on Dancing with the Stars, though.

Seriously, there are people who don’t know Hitler? These are the same people who can’t point out the US on a map, right? Public education, folks! Don’t those teachers deserve a raise?

Good Solid B-Plus on September 27, 2011 at 6:31 PM

With state of education these days – I think the teachers union owes the taxpayers a refund.

Some things he’s participated in are nutty, for sure. But what, specifically, in this video most troubles you? I’m only now able to watch it uninterrupted (kids)…

Bee on September 27, 2011 at 7:22 PM

Oh, but those lefties are a wily bunch Mister Documentary.

And a lefty would turn the question around to the interviewer.

Kinda’ like this: A US Soldier has an insurgent 200 yards away in his sites. He doesn’t know his name or how he came to be fighting in the conflict. he is a human. On an opposing side in a country where, you the soldier have never lived in nor know the dynamics of. Do you take the shot?

Of course you do. You were ordered to. Have you committed a sin?

Yes.

For the record, I, as a soldier would take the shot. Funny thing these moral dilemmas!

Observation on September 27, 2011 at 7:03 PM

Comfort points out in the video that Hitler and the Germans did not break the [German] law. The point is that just because something is legal in a country does not make it morally right.

The first 7 minutes of that video are excellent, btw, when he tries to find out if people would go along with nazis or let themselves be shot. That’s a good discussion.

Linking hitler to abortion probably isn’t.

lorien1973 on September 27, 2011 at 7:03 PM

I would agree that the holocaust and abortion are not equivalent in a couple different ways, such as length of suffering and visibility of the victims. But both an abortionist and a Nazi concentration camp guard require a special kind of callousness toward the value of human life. And I think the larger point is when something is morally wrong, at what point do good people stand up to put a stop to it.

In a logical discussion, not every Hilter comparison is trying to equate everything and make someone equivalent to Hitler. Many times it is taking a point to the logical extreme to establish some agreement, and then you can walk back from there to apply the same logic in a less extreme case.

For instance, when peace activists say war is never the answer, a useful place to start is to ask them what we should have done about Hitler and if there was a way to stop him without war. That obviously doesn’t argue that war is always the answer, but establishes a baseline case that most people will agree with that forces them to think a little more in depth about when military action might be justified.

In the same way, even if you don’t think abortion and Hitler’s holocaust are morally equivalent, bringing Hitler into the discussion establishes a base case where more people should have stood up for what was morally right and makes you think about abortion in that same context of what is morally right.

I know you’re angry. I’m so sorry.

blatantblue on September 27, 2011 at 7:26 PM

You can’t shoot Hitler before he’s done something to warrant it. It would be murder.

Abortion for rape and life of the mother is acceptable because pregnancy is dangerous to a woman. (among many other factors) The baby doesn’t have a right to put a woman in danger who didn’t conceive it through voluntary actions. Self defense is the among the most important rights anyone has, and a woman’s right to self defense trumps a babies right to hurt her by its presence. Police would shoot the driver of a car attempting to speed through a crowd of people if their brakes failed but they insisted on hitting bystanders all along the way instead of veering off course. What a world of anarchy we would have if women were forced to carry a rapists baby! Carrying a baby to term should be insisted on when voluntary behavior resulted in the pregnancy.
