Waters: Obama would never tell the Jews or the gays to stop complaining

posted at 10:10 am on September 26, 2011 by Ed Morrissey

Looks like Barack Obama really made an impression on the Congressional Black Caucus this weekend — but not the one he intended. Maxine Waters tells CBS that she’s not sure exactly who Obama thought he was addressing, and claimed that the CBC has worked a whole lot more on unemployment than the President has, without whining about their critics.  But Waters goes one better by telling CBS that Obama wouldn’t have dared telling a couple of other identity groups to stop griping:

Sounds as if the CBC just fired a shot across Obama’s bow on the pecking order for pandering in the Democratic coalition.  After NY-09, Obama has tried to jolly along his Jewish supporters, who look like they may either sit on their hands in 2012 or bolt for the Republicans in numbers large enough to matter.  Earlier this year, Obama backed off from defending DOMA and pushing for a quick end to DADT to mollify the LGBT lobby.  The CBC apparently feels as though Obama takes them for granted, and Obama telling them to shut up apparently didn’t convince the CBC of his appreciation.

Is she wearing bedroom slippers in this interview?

SouthernGent on September 26, 2011 at 10:37 AM

No, but she had that “I’m a Crazy B!tch!” mask on. I never get tired of that one.

Jaibones on September 26, 2011 at 12:24 PM

and claimed that the CBC has worked a whole lot more on unemployment than the President has

Yes, we know they are both working to drive up unemployment.

Of course the CBC has done more, they’ve been doing it longer.

Years and years of trading hopes and dreams vor votes.

Sickening.

reaganaut on September 26, 2011 at 12:30 PM

Continuing…

“About 99 of the units are vacant, many rendered uninhabitable by unfixed problems, such as collapsed roofs and fire damage. Mice scamper through the halls.”

“Grove Parc and several other prominent failures were developed and managed by Obama’s close friends and political supporters. Those people profited from the subsidies even as many of Obama’s constituents suffered. Tenants lost their homes; surrounding neighborhoods were blighted.”

Yet somehow, Maxine is surprised that “The Jeffersons in the White House” have abandoned them since getting their votes in 2008.

Mr_Magoo on September 26, 2011 at 12:32 PM

And I’m out…

“‘No one should have to live like this, and no one did anything about it,’ said Cynthia Ashley, who has lived at Grove Parc since 1994.”

It’s the Teeeee Party…

Mr_Magoo on September 26, 2011 at 12:35 PM

Maxine Waters is the epitome of class, ethics, and honesty. How dare Barack Hussein Obama speak that way to you. The nerve…!

Why doesn’t the CBC just turn their support to Herman Cain? He is an actual 100% black man- 100% born and raised in poverty in Atlanta, Georgia. After all, that’s the only reason they support Barack Hussein Obama. Because he’s ‘black’. But he’s only 50% black and grew up in a Hawaiian paradise after he returned from his birthplace of Kenya and his primary schooling in the madrassa’s of Indonesia. That’s probably why Barack Hussein Obama beotch slapped ya’ll from the podium in plain view of the entire world, Maxine. He’s 50% white devil and his other 50% has never really known the plight of his people.

Oh. Wait. That’s riiight. Herman Cain’s principles, scruples, and work ethic lay on the side of that racist Tea Party, and as everyone knows, the Tea Party wants to see a return to black slavery and to kill all black people that resist the return to shackles. Plus, Herman Cain won’t give the entire population of blacks free stuff handed over on a silver platter simply by virtue of the color of their wrapper. He’ll expect them to actually expend the energy and make the laborious effort to get an education and a job which is fully and completely available to them every single bit as much as it is to all other Americans.

Shucks. Oh well. I guess the vision of a free-ride everything just isn’t going to pan out for you and your ‘people‘, Maxine. Better luck next time. Maybe, say, in 2016 or 2020? But there’s always the chance that Barack Hussein Obama will be reelected in 2012 and due to his term limit he’ll have nothing to lose and your people will get that silver platter handed over. Oh. Darn. That’s riiight. He’ll be an all but impotent lame duck with a Majority Republican Congress and most likely majority Republican Senate too.

You just can’t win for losing, Maxine.

Waters is a despicable racist…and yes I have interacted with her several times…a more horrid person in politics does not exist.

right2bright on September 26, 2011 at 12:49 PM

Here is the problem…she and her black constituency have no where else to go, they have poisoned the well.
No matter what they say, 94% of will vote for Obama…the democrat party, as they have for hundreds of years, still have their slaves.

right2bright on September 26, 2011 at 12:51 PM

The Socialist Food Chain

From the perspective of the socialist utopian, what matters more than Women’s rights or Gay Righs are the rights of a designated culture. The dogma of multiculturalism trumps the dogma of women’s superiority. This is probably because for the socialist utopian, might makes right and the needs of the many always outweigh the needs of the few–and the few better remember that fact, or else. In the socialist utopia, there is no room for individuality or personal preference; or tolerance for differences. You always must subsume yourself to the collective; and the bigger the collective, the more power victimization can be exploited.

For example, we know from experience that blacks, women and gays lose their cherished victim status if they dare to become Republicans; and, to a lesser extent, if they choose to be Christian (except for most Episcopalians, who have seen the secular light).

Being black trumps being a woman or gay (i.e., there is more “social justice” mileage to be squeezed out of the oppression of blacks, i.e., racism, than there is from the oppression of women (sexism) or even gays (homophobia). Just ask Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton.

LarryD on September 26, 2011 at 12:53 PM

and claimed that the CBC has worked a whole lot more on unemployment than the President has

yeah, the CBC is working hard at keeping blacks unemployed, on drugs, having out of wedlock children, uneducated and being dependent. wanna know who’s destroying the black community, maxine? look in the bloody mirror.

abcurtis on September 26, 2011 at 12:59 PM

Does the fact that Obama was suddenly rendered incapable of properly pronouncing the “ing” suffix have anything to do with who he was addressing? Or reflect on what he really thinks of them?

Blacklake on September 26, 2011 at 11:49 AM

Both.

cmsinaz on September 26, 2011 at 1:26 PM

Obama better listen to Waters. Otherwise his 98% share of the black vote in 2008 will be in danger of plummeting to 97.7% in 2012.

Obama better hurry up and start dropping $1,000 bills from helicopters over Black neighborhoods, which is what they all expected from the moment he was sworn into office.

ardenenoch on September 26, 2011 at 1:32 PM

Suck on it Maxine…

Maxine Waters: Through nearly a dozen hearings, we were frankly trying to fix something that wasn’t broke. Mr. Chairman, we do not have a crisis at Freddie Mac, and particularly at Fannie Mae, under the outstanding leadership of Franklin Raines.”

Seven Percent Solution on September 26, 2011 at 1:32 PM

Maxi Maxi Maxine still doesn’t get it that the CBC is just Baracks Bee___h.

Wake up, put your marchin shoes on and get out dem house slippers Maxi.

PappyD61 on September 26, 2011 at 1:34 PM

..as tempting it is to say “stuff a sock in it” to these Dem a**holes like Mad Maxine and Debbie Blabbermout-Schitz, the best thing is for them to let them keep flapping their idiot lips.

I mean, let’s face it, if the GOP won’t make the sale, then let the Dems talk the American public out of buying.

The War Planner on September 26, 2011 at 1:36 PM

Remember, Maxine Waters was out in front during the Rodney King riots in LA, shouting, “No justice, no peace” to the television cameras. And she usually has no Republican opponent to run against during the election cycle. The token libertarian usually managers to snare about 20% of the vote in this district.

karenhasfreedom on September 26, 2011 at 1:38 PM

When your deck is nothing but race cards it must be hard when you come to a situation like this…

Scrappy on September 26, 2011 at 1:47 PM

I was watching Gangland this weekend and they were talking about how gangs rose to power in the Chicago Projects.

At one point they told how mothers were advised by govt reps that they could get more public assistance if the fathers were not in the picture. So the fathers left the apt during inspections. As time went on, the fathers left for longer periods of time and finally never came home.

That’s a perfect examnple of how Democrats have helped the black community.

Mr_Magoo on September 26, 2011 at 1:49 PM

She actually has a point. Obama knows he can say whatever he wants to the CBC because he knows he can take the black vote for granted.

ButterflyDragon on September 26, 2011 at 2:24 PM

Take off the welfare slippers and put on the work boots, eh?

disa on September 26, 2011 at 2:56 PM

BWAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA! Serves her right!

Remember the saying, “Meet the new boss, same as the old boss”?

I wonder if Waters is thinking this: “Meet the new massa, same as the ol’ massa.”

JimC on September 26, 2011 at 3:46 PM

And remember this black “activist”: You’re gonna be ruled by a black man.

Hey, Maxine, sugar? He got his wish! I hope you like it!

And I bet the Tea Partiers aren’t the only people she want to go to hell! BWAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

JimC on September 26, 2011 at 3:56 PM

I have to say that Maxine Waters’ messaging was sophisticated and intelligent. I had thought she was a utter moron. Now that we know she is capable of intelligent thought, I wonder if there is any chance for her to think intelligently about issues?

No, Obama is saying black people are lazy.

batterup on September 26, 2011 at 5:03 PM

Maxine, darlin’, your people have pushed the racial identity card hard enough to elect the community agitator, Obama. Now, you’re complaining that he is agitating your community? Dear heart, he, like you, thrives on stirring up discontent and grievance. Obama, however, thinks that bedroom slippers don’t make quite the noise that those NBPP homies’ combat boots make. Don’t you understand his dog whistles?

Who is Maxine Waters, what is her job, where she from and what political party? Should always be mentioned with the name.
