Video: Guy who you’ve loved in every role he’s ever played hates your guts
posted at 8:33 pm on September 23, 2011 by Allahpundit
Via Newsbusters, a video knee to the groin to liven up your Friday evening blog-reading. I’m trying to think: Is there any other actor in Hollywood whose scorn would sting more than this guy’s? Being demagogued by a halfwit celebrity is normally a badge of honor — just ask the boss emeritus — but … I really like Morgan Freeman, notwithstanding his alleged freaky-deakiness. I don’t know what’s more disappointing, his paint-by-numbers racial reductionism or the fact that his argument about special conservative animus towards Obama vis-a-vis Bill Clinton is so stupid that even Piers Morgan feels obliged to rebut it. It’d be irritating yet tolerable coming from anyone else, but Red from “Shawshank Redemption”? Are you kidding?
How the hell am I going to watch that penguin documentary now?

Actors –ALL of them — should just STFU & read their lines for our amusement.
Why is this country so enthralled with actors, overpaying them, putting them on pedestals & pretending like they are so important that we should pay attention to what they say about politics or anything of consequence in our lives? They are the modern day equivalents of golden calves.

Had I been interviewing him and he spouted his racist rant, my question to him would have been “Did you support or vote for GW either in his first or 2nd term?” His answer, I’m sure, would have been no. My response would have been, “well, why doesn’t this make you a racists.” We need to start fighting fire with fire. Through this crap back in their faces.

Frankly, I’m disappointed with everything that is taking place in this world today. With the shenanigans taking place in D.C. with the Solyndra and "Fast and Furious" debacles, I feel like I’ve been transported back to the 60′s. Dog and pony shows at the UN and constant threats of U.S. government shutdowns. And I have come to learn that many, many "conservatives" and "patriots" are wishy-washy and do not stand on principals.
Since when was any Hollywood actor or actress supportive of the values of the founder (Michelle) of HotAir with the exception of a very few? Why would anyone put money in the pockets of a Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt, Sean Penn and the likes? I pay to see a movie about once or twice a year only after making sure the cast is silent about their political leanings and values. I will not support the Hollywood bunch that rants on about how terrible conservatism is for my country. It’s all about standing for principals.
The whole rotten bunch in Congress are there only for the glory, the perks and a wealthy life thereafter. At my age, I was so hopeful that the advent of the Internet would really turn this country around. Sites like HotAir, Big Government, Drudge and others really gave me a sense of hope for an eventual
return of my country. Not to be. There is more information than ever before for those that want to get engaged and involved in politics and government, but the reality is that nothing is changing for the better. In fact, things are absolutely rotten in this country and will only get worse.
Technology is responsible for the disappearance of many jobs in this country and high unemployment is here to stay. That is a conversation that is not taking place because no one wants to tell the truth. You have politicians still bickering over the same crap that I have heard for the last 40 years, a population that is growing and a job market that is shrinking and will continue to shrink.
I have followed and enjoyed HotAir for over 2 years, but things are getting stale and old. There really is no hope for our country. We are on a path to destruction and I am throwing in the towel. I have made a few comments over the last 2 years, but I am done. This is my last. I am tuning out and have given up all hope. So long and may God be with all of you!!

Winning with Kamikaze Tactics
July 22, 2011
*******************
********************
The dangerous political and economic trends of the past three decades are coming to a head in Washington current debt battle. The Right is armed with its anti-government extremism and its vast propaganda machine, while the Democrats seek compromise and the Left remains disorganized, as Danny Schechter notes.
During World War Two, the Japanese deployed units of pilots who turned their planes into bombs, and sacrificed themselves in the name of their emperor in a holy war against U.S. ships. They would aim for the deck of aircraft carriers and do as much damage as they could at a cost of their equipment and their lives.
Guerrilla armies refined the tactic and made it less pricey. Much lower cost suicide belts with explosives are now used by individuals to terrorize their enemies without having to sacrifice weapons systems.
Now, American politics has spawned its own kamikazes in the persona of ultra-right wing fanatics in suits who are ready to blow up the world financial system if they don’t get their way.

So true, yet actors feel compelled to rub our noses in their leftist
religionpolitics. Freeman engages in black racism with all the awareness of a libtard. Performance based evidence, as always, eludes them.He and his political ilk wrecked movies and most TV shows. A lot of people don’t have the extra cash to shovel out for Hollywood trash now, and are more aware of preachy leftist agendas.
Good luck with that, dirtbag FREEman.
Feedie on September 23, 2011 at 9:22 PM
What a terrible country this is, where half the citizens are evil racists. That’s why talented actors of color like Freeman will never achieve any measure of financial success or professional acclaim here.
CJ on September 23, 2011 at 9:23 PM
I don’t particularly think Mr. Freeman is a racist, simply a leftist. And leftists who learn their economics from Krugman, simply have no point of reference for the Tea Party.
Places like California and MA are so one-sided politically that they have no one to question their stupid ideas. These people honestly believed that the election of Obama was proof that their Progressive Paradise was at hand; that the majority of Americans actually agreed with their far left crap and hadn’t just voted for Obama because he wasn’t Bush and was a novelty act that never got challenged on anything.
If Obama had campaigned as a Socialist he would not have been elected. He fooled enough people into thinking he was a moderate, bi-partisan, blah, freakin-blah, whatever.
The immediate backlash against their policies once they started getting passed (or more often regulated by government agencies), must have come as an absolute shock. So when challenged they simply revert back to their default position on everything – that they are victims. Because victim-hood is really the core principal of the progressives. Everything is somebody else’s fault.
So Freeman is simply reverting to his most comfortable victim role, which for him is color. For a gay progressive the Tea Party are homophobes, for blacks they’re racists, insert victim status here ad infinitum.

speaking of celebs screwing up their lines, Ellison was on O’R tonight and repeated the intercontinental railroad gaffe. Ha!! So it wasn’t really barry’s fault, it was in the DNC script…it was the script writers that screwed up. Maybe that’s barry’s problem, he has bad script writers.

Mr. Freeman…President Obama IS screwing the country, and I don’t care that he is black (…and don’t forget he is also half white). I believe he does not have the heart of an American…remember that his formative years were spent in a completly different culture. His policies are dragging this country down to the depths of the deep. I’m not sure that if he is reelected that America as we’ve known and loved her will be salvageable.
Wow…Am I disappointed in you, sir!

Morgan Freeman is a great actor; but he’s just another black racist, who hates white people and is a complete hypocrite.
Sad, no pathetic; but no longer surprising.

“I don’t particularly think Mr. Freeman is a racist, simply a leftist.”
I disagree. He is judging an entire group of people he doesn’t know based on media reports. He has no idea what is in their hearts. If that isn’t bigotry, what is? He is being a racist while lamenting racism. The man is an utter fool and I will never think of him the same ever again.

We always try to elevate people beyond their personal capabilities. He might be a good actor (don’t really know) but don’t look to *actors* for guidance about the real issues of life. Just because they play a part doesn’t mean they *are* the part.
jatfla on September 23, 2011 at 9:49 PM
Liberals only know how to make emotional arguments and when they are badly losing, like they are now, they bring out their rhetorical doomsday weapons – “Tea Partiers and Republicans are Nazi demons who want commit atrocities you can’t even begin to imagine!”
It’s calculated emotional blackmail. “If you don’t give me what I want, I’ll throw a huge tantrum!” It’s the immaturity that makes Hollywood such a childish freak show.
Django on September 23, 2011 at 9:50 PM
Bigotry and racism are not the same. I hate it when the left intertwines them, let’s not do it too.
That he is bigoted against a large segment of the population is not at question. But it is hatred for our politics that drives it, not hatred because we’re white. I’m sure he loves all his white progressive friends. I bet him and Damon are straight up homies.
And after their ascendant victory that proved that the progressive agenda had gained mainstream acceptance comes the inevitable backlash by the majority of America which never wanted the agenda in the first place.
So once again the progs are left to try to explain why they are losing without questioning their beliefs and policies. Because it can never be their beliefs and policies it must be something else. And the left are good at nothing if not being a victim.

We’re better then that? Who? The ninety-five percent of the black community that voted for the black guy? Surely Freeman must be talking about them, right?
lowandslow on September 23, 2011 at 9:57 PM
Hey Morgan, if you are concerned about groups who commit violence due to race, check out the violent flash mob phenomenon. Pro tip: they are blacks against whites.
carbon_footprint on September 23, 2011 at 9:57 PM
That’s one of the major undercurrents in American society that most major media are afraid to even talk about. And if they do talk about it, it’s usually brought up so white liberals can proclaim, “I’m not a racist like most white people are!”
When the first media reports came out about the Tea Party they made no bones about the idea that the Tea Partiers should be mocked and hated because they were “old white people.” Their contempt for whites is real.
However, the media and Obama and the Democrats are also deliberately trying to provoke whites into racial outbursts so they can condemn them for it. As Spencer Ackerman of “journolist” fame said, “Take one of them — Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists. Ask: why do they have such a deep-seated problem with a black politician who unites the country? What lurks behind those problems? This makes *them* sputter with rage, which in turn leads to overreaction and self-destruction.”
Liberals WANT something like a race war, partly for political advantage and partly because they really do hate all white people who don’t meet their politically correct standards.
Django on September 23, 2011 at 9:59 PM
Gross is right!!!
And this incestuous person is supposed to have something worthwhile to say???
Used to admire him as an actor, now can’t stomach him.
fred5678 on September 23, 2011 at 10:00 PM
And as for his politics affecting whether you enjoy his movies, I say you guys must be awfully lucky. Because here in MA, I have to look past the politics of most of my family, a good portion of my friends, co-workers, oh lord I wouldn’t even bring politics up at work.
After sitting through a family dinner where you have to defend yourself against eight other people who have nothing in common with you politically (and I have no problem defending or offending if need be), sitting through a 90 minute movie is no big deal.
Most of the time I’m just thinking ‘the original was better’ of ‘the book was better’ anyway.
SittingDeadRed on September 23, 2011 at 10:01 PM

You Sir are very wrong. He is mostly White. He was raised by White women, went to white schools, lived in white neiborhoods and had almost no contact with his Kenyan father. Hell, he didn’t even have any Black friends until he was around 18. I still haven’t gotten over the fact that this piss ant felt the need to throw his Grandmother under the bus when it suited his needs. What kind of person you have to be to dis-own the people who made you everything you are? Most “Men” won’t throw their Mother under the bus, even if she is a crack-head street-HO.
Alabama Infidel on September 23, 2011 at 10:05 PM
It is just easier. That is why people pick on white people, dad’s, the tea party, Israel etc. They have no real consequence in what they are saying so they lash out at the easiest mark.
tomas on September 23, 2011 at 10:10 PM
Damn metro, you must chill!
I for one am almost happy that the country is getting a look at the real ugly face of Socialism. We were being slowly sold down the river by both parties with hardly anybody noticing for years.
Watching people stand up to their government reps at town hall events, etc gives me hope that we have indeed awoken from our slumber. Politics is a ground up game and the huge gains made in many state governments in the last election has me more excited than the walloping the Dems took in the House nationally.
There is a reason that Soros has his Secretary of State program. It’s the building block for everything that happens nationally.
Hang in there! If we weren’t winning CNN wouldn’t need famous people calling us racists!

Close the thread, we have a winner. Good night everyone!
carbon_footprint on September 23, 2011 at 10:28 PM
Three things:
First: this was piers Morgan so nobody watched it
Second: Freeman may have been a fairly good actor at one time, but now he pretty much plays the same part over and over, either God or the President. Although he was pretty good as Easy Readeron the Electric Company, I think they should have used Dennis Hopper. Now that would have been something.
Third: As so many others have said, these people are actors. That gives them no special knowledge or insight and in the case of movie acting(versus the stage) they don’t even need that much talent. And a Black actor speaking out this way doesn’t surprise me after Danny Glover and Harry Belafonte.
I still watch movies and tv that I like no matter who plays in it. If I quit watching because some of the actors or production people were Liberals there wouldn’t be any left to watch. Although I have to admit making Heimdall, a Viking god, Black was a bit much.

I rarely pay attention to the malarkey that comes out of actors. Sometimes I note Clint’s Eastwood’s stupidity but that’s about it.
I did take note of a Hotair poster a few weeks ago who pointed out Morgan’s alleged shtup’n of a woman he raised in his own household. It’s alleged so it’s allegedly creepy, I guess.
Thanks for the info Hotair poster (whoever you are).

I was startled not just at the stupidity of what he said, but at the illiteracy of how he said it. He talks like someone who didn’t finish high school, and maybe he didn’t for all I know.
But this “great stage actor emeritus” bullsh!t is obviously just more Hollywood affirmative action: “give some illiterate black guy tons of harmless roles in B movies and then we can feel better about our white-liberal dominated industry.”
But every time society gives something to people who haven’t earned it? They come out bitter and resentful. Voila — Morgan Freeman.
Jaibones on September 23, 2011 at 11:18 PM
Ask him what he thinks of Bachmann
Well, Morgan, are you a misogynist or not? If you don’t support her run for President, then the ONLY reason MUST be you hate women. Better still, ask him what he thinks of Cain. If he opposes Cain it can ONLY mean that he hates black people.
I’d love to see Cain get the nomination… Freeman’s head would probably explode.

Even Morgan Freeman doesn’t know what the hell Morgan Freeman is talking about. You can see it in his face as he struggles to come up with words.
I think he has spent too many years believing his own press, and believing his often cast part as the wise mature man is real.

I hardly go to a theater any longer. Actors/Actresses are free to voice their opinions, I’m free not to give them my money. I was going to watch Dolphin Tale this weekend, guess I’ll be adding Morgan Freeman to my boycott list and not seeing that movie. I thought he was a better man than that. Theory:
Actors become successful for pretending to be someone else. What we remember them for are their great impersonations of characters in a script – - – not for their own identity, values, etc.
Bloviating about politics (and other things) is how they try to claim value/stature/fame for themselves, separate and independent of the characters they play. They gravitate to the politics of “compassion” because, after all, good people are “compassionate” – and they want the world to know THEY (not the characters they play) are “good people.”

Better yet, just shut up and act, Morggy. kthxbye.

Actually, you’re wrong. There are guys who are conservative. Jerry Doyle jumps to mind. Nice guy. Pretty reasonable. Listen to his radio show and decide, and for fun watch old B5 episodes.
There are creeps everywhere. Lots of artists get terribly confused about things, especially if it has to do with money. They spend it fine, are happy when its dumped in their laps, but don’t understand it at all.

Let me explain about “BLACK”.
Black isn’t a racial designation, its a designation of a Marxist group. To be “Black” you have to be Marxist. This, of course, causes some identity problems, but that’s the game.
The Left loves its word games.

Perhaps Freeman has gone beyond his sell-by date, and is now free to say what he really thinks.
OldEnglish on September 23, 2011 at 11:59 PM
I’m inclined to cut Morgan some slack. First of all, every African-American had a surge of pride when Obama won the election. Hell, I think half the white people had that same surge of pride, hoping we’d put our racial strife behind us. It was a time of hope. It lasted until March of 2009.
Morgan Freeman, and the members of the Congressional Black Caucus, will never hold Obama responsible for what’s happened to his administration, they’d much rather blame Republicans, the tea party, Rush Limbaugh, anyone but Obama.
They won’t discuss Fast and Furious, they’ll overlook Solyndra, they’ll even overlook the 17% unemployment rate in the black community because, otherwise, they’d have to admit that their pride and joy was in over his head in the job and they can’t do that. So I’m inclined to cut Morgan some slack, however, I wish he’d just be quiet and not draw attention to the fact that most of the discontent with Obama is of his own making. Obamacare is a disaster, the scandals are Obama’s scandals, not something made up by the tea party, and the economy is in need of serious leadership and a plan, Obama has offered neither.
So please, Morgan, I don’t need an apology, I don’t need your understanding, I just need you to take a step back and demand that our President, the source of pride for you and the country, display the necessary leadership to bring together the disparate group in Washington and come up with solutions to get people working again. His last plan had nothing to do with that, it was all about getting you fired up and getting re-elected. He did that, yet unemployment in the black community is still 17%.
Vote Republican and only be called a racist one more time.

The Marines agree 100%.

This dumb actor asks what underlines the fact that the Tea Party wants Obama to be a one-termer?
I’ll answer you, Morgan. My husband has been unemployed for months. He’d like a damn job, but those are pretty hard to come by in Obama’s economy.

What frustrates a person like me is that for years, I mean years I hear people say things about me or refer to me and my personal opinions in ways that if they and I were out in a field naked they would never, never ever say to my face.
I have come to realize these people and I mean liberals, commies, socialist, and the so-called terrorists of the 1970′s, not someone of a certain race; these people are cowards and bullies.
jarhead0311 on September 24, 2011 at 12:07 AM
Conservatives are shocked that Morgan Freeman, a Hollywood liberal, hates their guts? And not because Morgan had shown a preference for conservatives in the past, but because these conservatives loved Morgan in everything he did, especially the Shawshank Redemption? So now they are shocked, shocked I tell yuh, and mad as hell to learn he doesn’t love them back.
Are these same the conservatives who constantly bemoan the “stupidity” of the Washington RINO who refuses to accept the fact that he is hated by the folks in the liberal media and therefore shouldn’t waste any time on winning them over? If so, Physician heal thyself!
RMR on September 24, 2011 at 12:08 AM
Yup, that’s it Morgan. Tea Partiers want to make Obama a one term President because he’s black. Wow, you figured us out.

Freeman’s publicist is Stan Rosenfield. You can email him at stan@sra-pr.com to express your opinion. I, for one, plan to boycott any movie this buffoon appears in.

No Morgan its you who should be better, smarter, less of a Democrat plantation occupant, you should be a more independent critical thinker playing less into any puppet masters plans.
Speakup on September 24, 2011 at 12:23 AM
He’s a racist, cut and dried. No one can justify his positions on anything. He’s also an idiot

I can’t even watch the video. That’s how much this hurts.

Another black man who thinks with his skin color self-exposed…
-
Those who think and feel in their hearts as he does…
that all the years of ramped up political discord pale to what poor ole ‘black man’ Obama has to suffer…
that all the radical things that Barry is foisting on the people of this country should be swallowed whole with a stfu from US…
that all the misery currently being spread around by Barry’s piss-poor economic policies should be excused by a tired “but Bush”…
that all the unemployment (especially in the black community®) should go unnoticed…
and that Barry’s frightening lack of experience is just fine…
But we’re the messed up ones to him.
-
When the unemployment situation for young black men continues to get worse, but they vote for Bozo anyway… there you’ll see the dark underbelly Morgan… Because while most whites have moved beyond racism… many, many blacks have not. Obviously… you included.

It really isn’t that great. I was looking forward to it – I go for that sort of thing in general – and was disappointed.

I havn’t noticed in any of the preceding posts in this thread any mention of my all-time favorite Morgan Freeman line in a movie.
Here it is from the movie Glory.
Disappointing to hear his bitter political hostility today. And disappointing to hear of his actions with his step-granddaughter.

Allah’s video link is now giving me an “Access denied” message, so I searched Youtube and this other one in case anyone else is having this problem.
