Allah states -
Let’s ease up, just a bit.

Yet, Allah you never let up on Romney. You take every shot you can to undermine him. Romney will come out on top and take it to Obama in the debates.

I do not understand how people like to rip on Romney when the guy is solid and gets the support for no other reason because he is a brilliant guy and KNOWS what it takes to be successful.

The worst of all of this is that the media who loves freedom and the conservative movement gets to pick who we see in the debates and therefore who has a shot at the nomination. McCotter is a bright, fiscal and social conservative, who understands his district and what it takes to get elected from that district (I am in his district by the way and support but do not always agree with him). The sad fact is the media is making the Republican debates a circus and there is little we can do to make them a vehicle for seeing what and how the various candidates think. We need to find a way to cut the media out of our nomination process. Finally we must get Obama and the Democrats out of power and return the US to a constituional Republic with sound fiscal policy, if we lose this time around it is only our fault. There is no Reagan in our stable so let's go with someone who can beat Obama and put a strong conservative Congress in place. The rest is just useless grandstanding.

There is a way for Perry to sell his SS views to the public

Right now, if both you and your spouse worked and one of you dies, the survivor only gets to collect on one of the SS benefits....the higher one. A widow can collect her husband SS but then loses her own.

Perry should point out that with a private account your spouse gets the benefit of what both of you put into your retirement.

In addition to the American Thinker piece about Perry TETF cronyism, NRO has an article about Perry's job record, it's not looking good. I wonder if this will come up tonight.

Perry’s Ambiguous Employment Record http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/278074/perry-s-ambiguous-employment-record-steven-camarota?page=1

Excerpt:

We found that of jobs created in Texas since 2007, 81 percent (225,000) were taken by newly arrived foreign workers (legal and illegal). The Census Bureau asks immigrants to say when they came to the United States, so it is easy to look at new arrivals who took jobs. Of newly arrived immigrants who took a job in Texas, the data show that 93 percent were not U.S. citizens. We estimate that about half of newly arrived immigrants who took jobs in Texas since 2007 were illegal immigrants. This means that about 40 percent of all the job growth in Texas between 2007 and 2011 went to newly arrived illegal immigrants and 40 percent went to newly arrived legal immigrants.

“Perry can’t win” soundbites get, the greater the risk of a self-fulfilling prophesy if Perry does in fact become the nominee.

It's a slam dunk gurantee that Perry can't win.

Perry has Obama Solyndra problems. From American Thinker today (excerpts):

Solyndra had George Kaiser, mega-fund-raiser for Obama. Convergen had David Nance, mega-donor for Perry. Nance is the founder of Convergen. Despite several business and personal bankruptcies -- including previously failed companies partially funded by the state -- Nance managed to donate $335,000 to Perry's campaigns, association fundraisers, and foundation.

As in the case of Solyndra, Convergen received help in circumventing the normal process. This part is very murky. Somehow, the proposal that failed the regional review was presented at the closed-door session of the state advisory panel (which previously included Nance), where it was approved. While the governor's office claimed that an appeal was filed, there is no appeals process in ETF's charter. The process by which Convergen received $4.5 million -- the highest amount ever awarded -- was "extraordinary."

It’s a slam dunk gurantee that Perry can’t win.

Perry has Obama Solyndra problems. From American Thinker today (excerpts):

Solyndra had George Kaiser, mega-fund-raiser for Obama. Convergen had David Nance, mega-donor for Perry. Nance is the founder of Convergen. Despite several business and personal bankruptcies — including previously failed companies partially funded by the state — Nance managed to donate $335,000 to Perry’s campaigns, association fundraisers, and foundation.
