I used to support Mitt until I realized that Perry was endorsed by Lassie's nephew Bob who was a member of the VFW and never got a haircut even though he lived in Texas.

I am thinking of using this as an excuse to call Jennifer Aniston to see if Marley likes any particular Republican although I am afraid that I will get her boyfriend with the pudge and the creepy Euro beard. The other AM in Hollywood it was 70 and I saw some similar bearded guy with a parka on. I have nightmares about what their kids will look like until I realize that he is probably like the other Hollywood types who don''t want to disturb the cashflow by letting the beautiful lady be a woman.

OMG....wow...I think it's you that hates him Marcus and you're projecting it onto everyone else.

Perry is only three years young than Mitt, he's hardly in spring chicken territory.

Plus the way was Perry's grasping for the right words, losing his train of thought with Stewart does lend to him not having the sharpest of minds.

And it isn't just on that show, he was terrible in the debate against Kay Baily Hutchinson and Debra Medina.

He seems like a nice good ol'boy that you would want to hang out with but he's not very presidential....at least that's what many of my Texan business associates say.

Romney is aging and feeble. He's the last Republican I want to see in a debate with Obama, he'd be embarrassing with his "I said it"....."I didn't say that"....."I said it and I meant it!" on the same issue. He has been running for President since the morning after McCain won the primaries, and if he had any traction there wouldn't be no money flowing into the Republican primaries with everyone STILL waiting for the Great Hope. Calm down Marcus, don’t have a cow. Did you even watch the clip? I could care less if Jon Stewart likes “us”.

Jon Stewart wasn’t hard on Perry at all and Perry still looked like an idiot grappling for words to explain his beliefs. That was the point.

Perry is the squish if he can’t cogently give details on his positions.

Plus I think Perry has a glass jaw, I don’t think he’ll be able to go head to head with Mitt in the debates.

He gave some lame excuse to White why he woouldn't debate him...that was some serious squish behavior.

I've said this before, I know. I'll vote for any GOP candidate over Obama...other than the Mittens (OK, maybe Huntsman is in that category too). I won't vote for Obama, but will just leave that race blank if Mitt's the nominee. I'm done with voting for these a**holes. There is simply zero justification for Romney. He's not a conservative and will, at best, manage America's decline slightly more efficiently (so he says), though even that is debatable. If Mitt really cares about advancing the country, he'll disappear.

Oh, for God's sake! We're going to nominate the SQUISH again because we want to be cool like Jon Stewart! We want Jon Stewart to like us!

Nice try, Romneybot. No, not this time. Not again. Not this time.
Every Southern Republican Governor is going to endorse Rick Perry, the longest serving governor of the largest state that created jobs. Jon Stewart be damned.

Huh? Didn't Rush Limbaugh say Mitt's done. Didn't Bill Burton's SuperPac run it's very first attack ad against Romney? Ever since Obamacare's passage Obama/Axelrod have been giving Romney very public death hugs of praise. Tim Pawlenty's non-attack attack on a televised debate was huge fodder in the press for several days.

AP, I don't think there are a whole lot of blissfully unaware primary voters.

I’m already looking forward to the first Obama/Romney debate

Me too. And let's hope it's Mitt and not Rick. Someone on another website linked these outtakes from the Daily Show (below) that Perry was on promoting his book "Fed Up" and it's painful at times

To defend his position, Perry grasps for words that never come to him. Stewart out thinks him and runs circles around his ideas. This a soft setting too. It further deepens my fear that Perry would be a disaster on the stage with Obama.

And LOL.....when Perry brings up as an example, healthcare on the state level, he kind of makes the case for Mitt's healthcare actions. Espeically when Stewart throws out the stat that 25% of Texans have no healthcare insurance, Perry says the states should handle the problem.

I love ya-but if Palin s the nominee and offers Perry VP I hope he'll respectful decline.
One doesn't accept an offer to be second banana when one is more qualified to be top banana than the top banana.
You can't convince me that a half-term conservative governor is more qualified to be president than a 3-term conservative governor.
If she had finished her term it would've given her more XO gravitas-but she didn't.
