I have seen a slew of people hitting the media rounds talking down CCB and talking up Coburn’s stew. The Republicans need to get out in force on radio tv, billboards, magazines new paper editorials..the internet there needs to be a media blitz. CCB is alive and lingering in Harry Reid’s inbox awaiting his immediate attention because we know how dire raising the debt ceiling is to the Democrats/

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) this morning said he’s waiting for House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to let him know what kind of debt limit deal would be able to pass the House.

ANYONE but a senile old fool like Reid would already have taken the hint as to what would pass in the House.

$100 billion? WTF?? I hope that is from the 2008 budget and NOT what has been the projection of $3.7 trillion this year. If it is, then there are a whole lot of RINOs that are going to be added to the endangered seat list next year.

I personally don’t care if the CCB vote in the House was bi-partisan or not, we won that battle!! The House represents the American People and it is about time our voice was heard.

And if the House stands their ground there is a good chance we’ll win this war too. I’m hoping the Senate Republicans will win it first. We don’t have a majority, it’s true, but we have more than 6(7)

Did Tina claim is was bi-partisan? If you’re using them media/Democrat’s meaning of bi-partisan then you’re talking about conservative/Republican capitulation.

It’s obviously that anything truly bi-partisan that compromises with Democrats will still end up ruining our country.

That is why I think they are going with the Gang of 6(7) plan now.

Let’s see. Obama wants and probably will get authority to borrow and then probably spend 2,400 Billion. This is on top of spending a similar amount from tax revenues. And the House Reps are trumpeting a tiny cut of 100 Billion next year? 3,800 Billion spending, 100 Billion cut.

That is a 2.6 % cut.

So a cancer of government spending is crippling our economy and the best we get (as a bargaining position?) is a tiny nick off the malignancy?

Hi Cindy, Haven’t read all this thread yet, but that is what I heard about Moody’s. In addition, the Dems are now against McConnell’s plan. This was in the other thread, which I’ll link to in a minute. I think the W.H. & the Dems are all about the Gang of 6(7)plan as soon as they finish writing it, LOL
