It is certainly possible that Gingrich was misunderstood. The fault though, is with Newt and not with the listener. If he speaks in such a difficult to translate manner, such that all who heard him think he meant something he didn’t mean, either he is too smart for the rest of us…or too dumb.

Yes, I used to be a big fan of his. But his recent crapola with Hillary, Nancy and now this? No frikken way.

I still don’t question his intellect. I question his integrity.

I’m sorry, Gingrich has been around politics & in Washington way too long to be playing the “gee, maybe I could’ve said that better” game.

Gingrich had no problem with accepting Gregory’s premise. He had no problem throwing Ryan under the bus so he could (conveniently) portray himself as being more sober, reasonable, blah blah blah – it just doesn’t occur to him that he’s undercutting the argument against Obama’s re-election.

As the great Casey Stengel said, “Can’t anybody here play this game?”

Sorry but Newt’s manhood was Calista-ed. In my house we play the Calista Game. When Newt is on TV before he opens his mouth we wager bets as to how many times he’ll say Calista.

I believe that Newt had some problems with the Callista marriage and as a result of a reconciliation he is bound to do all he can to advance her career, including allowing her to co-author all of his books, etc.

(No evidence that’s not purely based on observation.)

In fact if he ran 3rd party to do damage or even if he ran on the Obama ticket as VP it wouldn’t surprise me at all. Disloyalty is a virtue with the slick-tongued intelligensia.

I think what you want to have is a system where people voluntarily migrate to better outcomes, better solutions, better options

And like Obama’s Administration, then we can break out into focus groups!
