Audio: Are you ready for Huckabee/Trump 2012?

posted at 7:09 pm on April 11, 2011 by Allahpundit

Silly fun from today’s Laura Ingraham show, the highlight of which is Huck’s recounting of a recent tete-a-tete between the two. Diplomatic, deferential, and an electoral asset on a national ticket: Clearly, the job profile of a vice presidential candidate screams “Donald Trump.” Although, in fairness, they do complement each other nicely. Deep south and NYC, blue collar and white collar, Christian and Mammon, governor and businessman. Huck’s only problem is figuring out how to convince Trump to be second on the ticket instead of at the top. Has the Donald ever been beta to another guy’s alpha? Maybe we should be thinking about Trump/Huckabee instead.

It looks like Haley Barbour’s a lock to get in, which means he’s also probably a lock for the Huckabee endorsement if Huck decides not to run. But I can’t help wondering… What if Barbour surprised everyone by staying out? Would Huck consider giving Trump a social-con seal of approval by endorsing him before Iowa — if only to boost DT’s numbers to the point where he might credibly threaten Romney in New Hampshire? Or would he target Mitt by backing Pawlenty, who’s a more serious threat for the nomination? Damn, this’ll be a fun campaign to blog.

No offense, AP, but you don’t know squat about the South. You should refrain from these generalizations, it just underscores your lack of knowledge. We don’t want Huck. One embarrassing white trash president from Hope, AR/Dixie is one too many for us.

Speaking of the South, did y’all see the list of top 10 most segregated cities? Nine of the ten were in the North and the other one, Miami, has long since become a haven for expatriot NYers. It ain’t been Southern in so long, we assume they have seceded. NYC was #3 on the segregation hit parade. Nice work y’all. Things haven’t changed up their since 1964.

Newt left one wife on her sick bed. Newt is pro-Global Warming. Newt is pro-amnesty. Newt is too chicken to question O’s eligibilty. Newt was effectively hurt by MSM coverage. LOL Did my comment of an hour ago get bleeped by the censor(s)? It’s not here. Was it that I politely pointed out that AP doesn’t know whereof he speaks about the South? Was it that I pointed out how Huck and Bill Clinton are of the same socio-economic-trailer class of Southerner, and we’re embarrassed by them? Was it that I wise cracked that we Southerners assume that Miami long ago left the Union? Perhaps it was that I pointed out that 9 of the 10 most segregated cities in the U.S. are in the North and that the tenth, Miami, is- and long has been- populated overwhelmingly by Northern expatriots?

Maybe it just got lost in cyberspace.

Trump is a showman, a populist businessman. His limited government credentials are wanting. But this whole birth certificate story doesn’t go away. As far as I’m concerned, the American people naturalized him in November, 2008. Yet, either there is a problem with that document (and it will not be forthcoming) or the administration likes to laugh and watch people squirm on the right.

Huckabee makes my skin crawl. In fact, it is he, not Trump that would turn it into a ticket, for which, i could never vote.

Trump is at least tough. You know he wouldnt bend over and grab the ankles for any world leader, especially those who are enemies of the US. He has his problems, but i wouldnt be embarrassed being represented by the Donald on a world stage.

Huckabee, on the other hand, is one giant fraud, phony, and nasty human being. He is less of a conservative then Trump, and much less of a leader. I dont understand how Huckabee is always near the top of the polls taken so far. He is complete garbage on every level, not to mention an ugly and bitter man. What he did in West Virginia in the’08 primary may have put Obama in the White House. All he cared about was spiting Romney….
