The Ed Morrissey Show: Senator Jeff Sessions, Kerry Picket, & finding Marizela

posted at 2:43 pm on March 10, 2011 by Ed Morrissey

Today on The Ed Morrissey Show (3 pm ET), we’ll talk with Senator Jeff Sessions, who wants to bring us up to date on budget negotiations and especially on the push for a new CR now that the House version of the FY2011 budget failed to pass in the Senate.  Afterward, we’ll talk with Kerry Picket of the Washington Times about the doings on Capitol Hill and in Wisconsin today.    The Ed Morrissey Show and its dynamic chatroom can be seen on the permanent TEMS page — be sure to join us, and don’t forget to keep up with the debate on my Facebook page, too!

We’ll also discuss the case of Marizela Perez, who has been missing in the Seattle area since Saturday afternoon. Marizela’s case has a connection here at Hot Air, as she is the cousin of the Boss Emeritus, Michelle Malkin. Michelle is trying to spread the word through Facebook and Q13Fox/KCPQ in Seattle.  We want to encourage prayers for Marizela’s family, and also try to reach anyone in the area who knows where Marizela might be and ask them to contact the police.  Michelle also has this entry for today, along with new pictures of Marizela:

You try to eat, but all you can taste is indigestible fear.

You try to breathe, but all that fills your lungs is stifling uncertainty.

You try to sleep, but all that comes is fathomless fatigue.

Your heart is weighted with grief, but your soul refuses to mourn.

Let’s help bring Marizela home safely to her family and friends.

Ed, thanks for keeping this important issue up till Marizela returns home. I think Michelle and her family members are really having a horrible time dealing with this. She has an up-date on her site. I am still talking to God for Marizela’s safe return.

Marizela couldn’t have a better advocate than Michelle Malkin. May G-d bless the family.

I am definitely praying….everyday… God knows where she is… I pray His Arms to engulf her and He would be an ever present power to her… and to you and your family, Michelle.

GOD I hope and pray everything works out ok.

This happened to my cousin in florida a couple years ago. Her youngest daughter disappeared for about 2 weeks or more I can’t remember. She was later found alive and I don’t want to spill the details because then her identity could be figured out, but lets just say, the circumstances behind her disappearance were not of her doing.

My thoughts and prayers are with Michelle for her cousin.
