Madison protests joined by…Jesse Jackson?

posted at 6:30 pm on February 19, 2011 by MadisonConservative

Is Scott Walker going to have to “apologize”?

The Rev. Jesse Jackson arrived around noon Friday, speaking to the near-capacity crowd for about five minutes. From the second level of the Capitol rotunda, he led the crowd in chants including “Save the teachers. Save the children.” Protesters swayed as Jackson led them in a rendition of the song, “We Shall Overcome.”

“If we can find the money to bail out wealthy businessmen, we can bail out Madison, Wisconsin!” Jackson yelled, to thunderous applause from the crowd, many of them clad in Badger red.

Wait…wouldn’t a bailout of Madison mean more along the lines of, you know, saving them from bankruptcy? Like…Walker’s plan? Of course, the problem is that nobody at the protest needs to be “bailed out”. What they face is minor contributions from their paycheck towards their benefits, which most working people are used to. But then, Jesse Jackson has always been one to jump to the side of whoever feels entitled to something from the government, or, more specifically, the taxpayers.

Isn’t this guy’s career over yet? Maybe he can rip Walker’s nuts off.

Oh good Jackson showed up, somebody needs to call that piece of got dung out for what he really is . . . a phony rabble rousing, leftist agitator.

In this utopia of theirs, this ‘collective’ world, would there ever be eggs at the market or bread at the bakers? And if so, how much would they cost, or would that be another reason to strike?

Darclon. I was thinking the exact same thing. Jesse can’t stand being away from a protest and the cameras.

There was an opening on the streets of Madison for a shameless leftist publicity whore, and Jesse Jackson took it.

Bringing in this tired old race hustling poverty pimp shakedown artist was just another misstep in a long line of missteps by these union idiots over the past couple of days: skipping out on work and stranding millions of working parents with no child care planned, running around with vicious Nazi and lynching signs, dragging their simple-minded students to the protests with them as human props to serve their greed and malfeasance, grabbing up their fake doctor notes in front of the cameras, calling themselves “working class” while media reports come out with their actual — and generous — salary and benefits packages, and now Jesse. They are imploding right before our eyes, and everyone knows it but the union fools themselves. This protest will be seen as the day Obama lost 2012. God bless lefty stupidity. More, please.

Sorry for the semi O/T but given this story and others about unions, this story is simply too too awesome to pass up:

ALBANY – Cops booted an unruly group of city teachers union officials from a posh Albany eatery after they caused a ruckus over their dinner tab, the Daily News has learned.

Paul Egan, the union’s political and legislative director, set off the fracas – claiming the quail he was served, and finished, wasn’t large enough – sources said…
Two officers were dispatched to handle a man who was “yelling and refusing to leave,” Albany Detective James Miller said…Union officials and district leaders were in Albany to testify yesterday before a legislative budget committee – and to lobby lawmakers

So they go into an expensive restaurant, eat until full, only then to complain about the price, stage a sit in, cause a scene, finally being escorted out by police. Boy! Teacher’s Unions certainly have a “type”, don’t they!

Do you know who else joined the counter protest in Madison?

Hubby and I arrived around 11 am this morning. We just got back. The pro-Walker demonstration went off without a hitch. There were great speeches by local tea party reps and local celebs, as well as by national figures Herman Cain and Andrew Breitbart. (You can see hubby and me for a second in Ann Althouses’ Breitbart video).

At one point, a union goon in biker leathers from Rockford stood right next to us heckling and yelling “Kill the Bill.” Eventually, he moved on. I have tons of photos. I don’t know exactly what to do with them…

The strangest moment came when we were leaving. We basically got herded down a shoot towards the pro union protesters, who ended up being mostly college kids and old hippies. They kept taunting us to “be peaceful”. Very odd indeed. Once we got out of the “welcoming” area, we were fine.

Al and Jesse always come up on the wrong side of every issue. Next Jesse will try to brand Walker a racist. Big labor sees the writing on the wall, and this is just the first state that will get rid of the unions. I don’t mind the protesting on the weekend, but during the school week when they should be teaching is wrong. Walker needs to declare this an illegal strike and fire them. In the end the kids will pay, in less qualified teachers and an extended school year.

This is a cult movie. The professional agitators and race hustlers have joined with their Marxist insppired brethren on the left to support the union masters who are enslaving the working people of America, that they can enjoy the largesse. History, is now repeating itsself- only in reverse, where the rightful owners of society (the citizens and taxpayers)are being told (and threatened) by their own public servants to shut up, sit down, and keep working to provide the servants with the spoils of our labor.

I too agree in that PappyD61′s comment on February 19, 2011 at 6:43 PM is quite relevant to the event where it involves JJ. JJ was there to represent and part of what he represents is infanticide.

As you may be aware, I am intransigently pro-life. Anyway, I’m always amazed what reasons pro-abortionists give justifying their position, especially pro-abortion males. The final analysis is that supporting abortion is a means to keep the focus off of some other disturbing condition of society that they benefit from. Infanticide may be acceptable to Republicans as the notion of Republican is not absolute, but for my thinking, Conservative is absolute. You can’t be a little bit pregnant and you can’t be a little bit Conservative – you either are or you are not. Most Republicans only have a vested interest in their own selfish interests – I think you nailed it.

JJ is acting in the same manner – in his own self interest to garner more support for whatever it is his purpose on the planet serves – even if part of it is to represent infanticide.

hawkdriver on February 20, 2011 at 9:26 AM

You are dead on here, hawk. I’ve come to believe that it isn’t the liberals who is our greatest threat, it is the Moderate who will literally throw babies down the toilet to protect their checkbook. Fiscal conservatism is absolutlely necessary, but it is only one PART of conservatism, social conservatism another, essential, part.

And the argument that Moderates make that social cons are for big government social programs is nonsense. A real social conservative prefers private funding for any charity or care. All Biblical charity was private; no member of the church in the NT ever went to Herod or the Romans for contributions. The concept is utter nonsense. The whole point is that we need a return to the family (husband, wife, and children) as the essential, unbreakable building block of our communities.

Moderates, to use Revelation 3:15 a little out of context, are “lukewarm.” I have never known anyone who professed to be a moderate anything to be a good leader.
