Utah Death Threats Against Officials
posted at 12:30 pm on February 16, 2011 by Jazz Shaw
Discovered at Lady Logician’s place, a story of new threats against elected officials in the state of Utah. As usual, somebody seems to be upset over immigration.
Two state lawmakers running immigration reform bills were e-mailed perceived death threats over the weekend and Utah Highway Patrol authorities confirmed Monday they are investigating the matter and taking it “very seriously.”
Reps. Stephen Sandstrom, R-Orem, and Chris Herrod, R-Provo, were the only two state lawmakers to receive the one-and-a-half page letter, confirmed top state law enforcement officials, who said they were too early in the investigation to determine the severity of the threat.
Certainly sounds like those nasty tea baggers are at it again. They’ve probably been watching too much Fox News or listening to Rush Limbaugh or something. Oh… wait.
The letter is signed the “United Front for Defense of Immigrants” and features the images of Che Guevara and, separately, a semiautomatic weapon with a banana clip. It isn’t directly addressed to Sandstrom or Herrod.
Instead, it is headed with the words, “In response to HB-70 (Communique III-2/11/11)” and references Arizona — the home of the nation’s first enforcement-only law that became the epicenter of the immigration debate.
The letter says: “A comprehensive immigration reform has never and will never be established in Utah through peaceful dialogs [sic], civil discourse, or the Mormon Church involvement. It will be established as any other revolutionary changes always have been … by pen and gun, by word and bullet, by tongue and teeth.”…
So who exactly is this United Front for Immigration Reform? (Not to be confused with the People’s Front of Judea or the Judean People’s Front… Splitters!) Ladies Logic digs further and finds an apparent connection between them and Casa Aztlan of the “Aztlan” Movement. Why the Aztecs would be interested in “retaking” Utah, given that they never lived that far north, is not clear.
Yep. Sounds like the evil tea baggers to me. When, oh when, will these people ever be stopped?

It doesn’t matter. All hate groups are categorized as “right” wing groups.
I heard the guy who puts the “Hate in America” list together for the Southern Poverty Law Center on the radio and he said ALL hate groups in the US are right wing.
When the radio host asked him about groups like The New Black Panthers and some the Eco Terror groups he said no they are “right wing” too because the “Left Wing” is unable to hate.
The guy hung up after the radio host started laughing at him…

Thank you Jazz for another opportunity to talk about the positives of the PAPPY PLAN. :-)
1. Seal the border.
Eliminates the immigration that these Aztlan groups talk about. Also helps to save Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, etc.
2. 10% across the board federal spending cuts.
Who could argue that it’s “FAIR”?
These two steps are a great start in correcting the American Fiscal Firestorm about to overtake us.

You know, I was always taught that it’s best to make threats verbally, without witnesses and only after checking for cameras or recording devices.
That way the recipient knows that the threat is for real. Also, you can deny you ever said such a thing if a complaint is filed.

Best Immigration Reform Yet!
Simply require that businesses pay illegal immigrants MORE than legal workers doing similar work.
1. It give the appearance of being compassionate.
2. It will price their labor out of the market.
OR
1. Offer a reward to anyone, including illegal aliens who turn in employers who hire illegal aliens without engaging in due diligence to prevent hiring illegal aliens.
2. Make it illegal to rent housing to people who are not in the country legally. The penalty? They have to refund all the rent. Yup, 100%.
.
There is a symbiotic relationship between illegal aliens and those that enable them. It is in their best interests to keep their mouths shut. I say use economics to set them at each others throats.

I live in Provo, and it is a weird, muddy situation here- the people are almost all conservative to a man, but there are a gabillion illegal immigrants. People have this cognitive dissonance between their conservative instincts that say kick them all out, and their religious instincts that say love your neighbor and turn the other cheek. Lots of my neighbors are probably illegal. My son tells me that the Mexican kids hang out in gangs at the high school and speak Spanish among themselves. Whenever law makers try to curb illegal immigrants in any way, everyone goes crazy.

Actually, the SPLC does list the black panthers as a hate group. The page they have on Black Separatism is down for some reason, but Google has a cached copy from just 2 days ago.
Having said that, the group is ridiculously biased to the left. A lot of the groups they list do engage in hate-speech, but they completely ignore equally hateful statements from the other side. They have nothing on Mecha, for example. Or any leftist groups other than a few token black separatists. I don’t see any category for eco-terror. And not a word about unions, no matter how hateful their rhetoric is.. not even when they send organized mobs after bankers’ families.

This reminds me of the Detroit would-be mosque bomber. The media was getting all cranked up about the story. They were very excited about the expected “violent teabagger” angle. It was then revealed that the guy, Roger Stockham, was a Bush-hating left wing psycho. That story disappeared in micro seconds. It got buried. There hasn’t been a word about it in the national media since.
The difference with this story, of course, is that it will never be nationally reported in the first place. Gotta control the masses with the right messages, doncha know.

And the immigration groups are demanding that the LDS church take a stand.
The problem is the laws that govern immigration have nothing to do with right and wrong, they are secular and up to the population of the country to decided and the people’s elected officials.
It is just not the business of the Church to tell the government what to do.
Our church takes political stands on very few issues. And mostly family type moral issues. I think it is really doubtful our leaders would say more than “treat people right, and have compassion for everyone”.
So now they are trying to get Mexico and other big immigration countries and getting them to stop giving visas to Mormons because the Church says it doesn’t having any business telling people how to vote or the government what to do.
There is a lot of liberal blackmail going on in Utah.

IDK why Hispanics think they have some sort of birthright to parts of the US anyway.
Hispanics, Latinos, Mexicans whatever you want to call anyone coming from S of the border, are nothing but a mixture of Caucasian & Indian genetics & it means nothing.
I guess if you really want to get down to who’s got 1st dibs on anything, you oughta just give it all to Native Americans-no partial ‘breeds’ of anykind.
How many people can really claim such a thing?
So let’s just leave it how it is & suppress foreign invasions like always.
Badger40 on February 16, 2011 at 3:50 PM
Check. ‘Mexicans’ have just as little claim to the Southwestern USA as our American natives have on states of Mexico. The Spaniards that settled in what is now Mexico have no claim at all.
They need to let it go.
slickwillie2001 on February 16, 2011 at 3:55 PM
It goes beyond that.
Although a full-blooded Aztec from south of the border might be more closely related to one of the Luiseno or Gabrieleno peoples of SoCal, they are not Luiseno or Gabrieleno themselves.
I don’t have any claim to my cousin’s house just because we’re related. Neither do they.

Why the Aztecs would be interested in “retaking” Utah, given that they never lived that far north, is not clear.
Up to the Idaho border and westwards was Mexico until 1848. That’s close enough for Aztlan.
IDK why Hispanics think they have some sort of birthright to parts of the US anyway.
Because we wanted to purchase the chunk-o-land from Mexico called the “Mexican Cession,” and when they refused, we waged war until they said Uncle and then we forced them to sell it to us for $15 million and the assumption of some of their debts. In 1848.
That’s where the cries of “theft” come from, as in, “nos robaron la tierra.”
Which, they can have it back but it’s only right that we return it in the same shape as in 1848: remove all the roads, factories, mines, universities, hospitals, dams, power plants, gas lines, etc. that we’ve built since.
What was that? You want us to leave it there?
Now that’s just plain looting, is what that is.

Communism only makes a louder voice when it lies and can get away with it. The entire “Casa Aztlan” nonsense is just that: communism lying about who and what it is.
Marxist-Cultism uses these identity politics issues that can never be resolved (sex, gender, race, ethnicity, “rich/poor” and “war/peace”) to any specific point because it “agitates” human beings emotionally, at least those who are psychologically afflicted negatively about those areas in their lives and the lives of others.
So of course Communism latches onto those areas (“it’s unfair,” and “woe, the unfairness”) because they’re reliable areas of emotional agitation among the mostly unstable populations.

The Indian Wars…
the reason history is encouraged so often to be rewritten is because it accommodates Communist needs to emphasize “the unfairness” of yadda-yadda-yadda blah-blah-blah…
The Aztecs from mostly Mexico were not welcome in most if any parts of North America and were at continued war by various attempts to invade the North for a long time in past history.
North American tribes didn’t want them here, the Aztecs wanted what others had (whatever, thus, they were invasive), and the Aztecs were repeatedly fought off by Northern tribes. Among the dirty habits of the Aztecs were eating their enemies.

This past year I came across a non-profit organization determined to recreate the pedestrian passable migratory route that the various indigenous tribes used once upon a time, passing from Mexico through Arizona, Utah, Idaho, and Canada. It’s mission statement is to encourage people to be able to walk from Mexico all the way into Canada, or to walk any portion of the trek. And the foundation gets government tax subsidized grants. Given Michelle Obama’s “Move” agenda, not to mention that political immigration agenda, the foundation would be receiving even more tax funds.
