When do we get to see the results of the poll? I hope it doesn’t fall into a black hole because AP’s/Ed’s favorite didn’t finish first like the last poll.

The Truth Behind the White House’s Budget Spin

Today the White House finally produced its proposal for the 2012 budget. Beware of the left’s attempt to sell this as “getting tough on the deficit,” because as an analysis from Americans for Tax Reform shows, the White House’s plans are more about raising taxes and growing more government than reducing budget shortfalls.

The fine print reveals a White House proposal to increase taxes by at least $1.5 trillion over the next decade. If you want to know how minuscule their proposed $775 million-a-year budget “cuts” really are, please look at this chart. The proposed cuts are so insignificant – less than 1/10 of 1% of this year’s $1.65 trillion budget deficit – that they are essentially invisible on the pie chart. That speaks volumes about today’s budget.

I went with Christie/Cain.

I’d like to see John Bolton in either of the lists.

I am a Palin supporter who honestly thinks she is better set up as a kingmaker, not a candidate. I like her in that role – fundraising, speechifying, and generally keeping the GOP angling to the right. If she ran, I would support her.

However, since I don’t believe she will, I’m hoping for Petraeus. I think he’s one of the few men on that list who could top a ticket with Cain and not look like the cliche of an old, wrinkly white guy (the usual GOP fare) with a feisty black sidekick. Petraeus would bring gravitas and clarity to our foreign policy (something Obama has turned into a running gag). And with Cain there to bring the economic sense and common sense, I have to say I love the pairing.

I think Bolton could also pull off that pairing.

I really love West, too, but as a freshman Congressman, I’d like to see him firing up Congress a little longer.

Really? This is as pitiful as if the Steeler cried and whined and had a second super bowl, except not against the Packers because they beat them. Don’t pay much attention to the Green Room, must be slim pickins.

Since he’s taken off this list, I assume this poll is about 2nd place?

That’s my second string dream ticket. West for me is locked in as my VP choice though.

….and before you yell at me, of course I’d vote for Romney, Daniels, or a half eaten dill pickle over Obama.

Some of the Paultards are mad their messiah isn’t on the poll. Shouldn’t have spammed the damn thing then…

I think we need a caniddate that is mixed libertarian/social conservative/fiscal and defense issues.

A pure libertarian is a lost cause…i think Rand Paul is trying to thread the needle but he is failing on defense issues and he hasn’t really made an effort at social issues.

West looks good and of course Palin is pretty much in the sweet spot as far as I see…
