There is simply no way Obama was born in America. I mean, he doesn’t look like those guys on the money. And I’m afraid of his middle name.

They may not need the birth certificate to make an issue out of this. They may only need to click here.

Liberals ALWAYS acheive the exact opposite of their stated intent.

This issue should not be controversial. The U.S. Constitution requires that the POTUS be a natural born citizen. Out of respect for the U.S. Constitution, anyone who wishes to be POTUS should be expected to make a disclosure of documents, particularly an original birth certificate, in order to demonstrate eligibility under the U.S. Constitution to be POTUS.

Disclosure of an original birth certificate is really nothing. You have to do that in order to play Little League baseball.

Contrast what John McCain and Barack Obama did with respect to this issue. When the issue came up as to John McCain because he was born in the Panama Canal Zone (into a distinguished American military family), he did a public disclosure of relevant documents, including his birth certificate and hospital records, and he hired Larry Tribe and Ted Olsen to address the legal analysis to establish that McCain was and is qualified to be POTUS. Senate Resolution 2008-511 reflects that conclusion, that McCain is eligible to be POTUS. That is what John McCain, a patriot who served his country as a Naval combat aviator during the Vietnam War, did and did appropriately out of respect for the U.S. Constitution. In contrast, Barack Obama, whose father had British citizenship, has litigated for years and still has not produced his original birth certificate. That is what Barack Obama, a one-time socialist community organizer, did and did, in my opinion, with insufficient regard to the U.S. Constitution.

Phil Byler on December 30, 2010 at 10:11 PM

You’d think Abercrombie and Finch, would be concerned with governing.
But then again, Abercrombie and Finch was a fall in line Representative, he gets his marching orders from Inouye and Akaka

Kini on December 30, 2010 at 10:13 PM

Governor Abercrombie is a flake…to be polite.

As to his assertion that he “knew” Obama when Obama was a an infant boy means that he most likely also knew Frank Marshall Davis.

And that is supposed to lend to Abercrombie’s credibility?

And, in the manner of all socialists, when the times comes, Abercrombie will somehow renege on his declaration to open the files.

Megyn, Rich and the other guy can make all the jokes they want but the fact remains that NO ONE can claim with any credibility that they have seen Obama’s long form birth certificate.
That’s just a fact.

I always get a kick how people so sarcastically act as this has been settled a thousand times when it has not been settled even once.
No member of the Congress can claim they’ve seen it.
No media person can make that claim either.
No one can.

After making my 10:11 PM post, I read the 10:08 PM post of manwithblackhat and the referenced article discussing the legal meaning of “natural born citizen” and its application to Barack Obama. I recommend reading the referenced article.

The article, among other things, quotes Vattel’s “Law of Nations,” one of the great authoritative treatises in the history of international law. Basically, the article argues that the constitutional text “natural born citizen” should be informed by the meaning of that phrase as it was understood in the late eighteenth century in accordance with the law of nations, that the meaning of “natural born citizen” in the law of nations was defined by the father of a person and that Obama, whose father had British citizenship, was not a “natural born citizen” regardless of whether Obama was born in Hawaii or Kenya or somewhere else.

PappyD61 on December 30, 2010 at 10:37 PM

Just to ruminate a bit…

A hypothetical, offered for your consideration.

After Obama leaves office…in about 751 days…there will be official and authenticated documents found that show that Obama indeed may not have been a “natural born citizen.”

But, by then Obama will already have been President for a full term…serving a successful term in office.

Precedent will have been established.

Unless a specific Constitutional Amendment is ratified, what is to prevent other, non-natural born citizens, non-citizens even, from becoming eligible to run for President or any other federal, state or local elected office in the land?

The “Transformational President” will have accomplished something the Founders sincerely wished to avoid.

Chew on that thought for a few moments.

Hey, if you were the Democrats, who have been assaulted with this Birther stuff for years now, what would be the best way to suppress his records once and for all?

Simple. Have a friend of his parents run for Governor of Hawai’i. And win.

It’s almost as brilliant as when they smuggled Jaime Gorelick onto the 9/11 Omission. The only reason she was picked by the Dems for that panel was so she would never have to be questioned under oath about her role in failing to prevent Bill Clinton’s Pearl Harbor.

Ok, say he’s not a natural born citizen…He won’t then be eligible to run/be sworn in in ’12/13…Will the Supreme Court then rule that every piece of legislation bearing his signature is null and void?

Will ANYONE be criminally charged? Disbarred?

I pledge allegiance, and my life, to all Birth Certificates or Certifications, or photocopies of same, that Barack Hussein Obama has now, ever has had or ever will have, and to fully trust that at least one of them is reasonably valid or at least legible in one of the 57 states, and that Barack Hussein Obama is a natural born citizen of the planet Earth, one nation under Obama, invisible, with hope and change for all, except, of course, Terry Lakin and Sarah Palin too just on general principles.

Doesn’t everyone feel much better? Yes, so now we can put this totally inconsequential matter to rest once and for all.

Cheshire Cat on December 30, 2010 at 11:17 PM

Help me out here. Assuming that he was born in America, I can only think of two reasons why Dear Leader won’t release his long-form B/C. 1) There is something on there he doesn’t want us to see. 2) It’s a Jedi mind-trick to keep us talking about it, thereby robbing us of our vital manly and womanly essences or something.

Now, look, I know that the media, except for a fair portion of Fox News and a few bloggers here and there (ahem), are solidly in the Dear Leaders camp. But really, c’mon, no one wants to get paid a zillion dollars by, I dunno, the National Inquirer, say, to leak a photocopy of the long-form and heal our pain? No one? Bueller? Bueller?

Knott Buyinit on December 30, 2010 at 11:24 PM

I care not whether Obama was born in the USA, or in Kenya, or on Farakhan’s Mother Wheel — far more likely, I think. What he has done to set back our country domestically and in foreign policy, is far more probative of the origin that matters, the origin of his heart. He hates this country. He hates us. Or, maybe, he just hates himself, and the rest merely follows. A sadder figure may never have walked on this earth. ✪

TXUS on December 30, 2010 at 11:24 PM

Forget the birth certificate. Forget the transcripts. Just ask where his loyalties lie – because it sure as heck isn’t with America.

Connie on December 30, 2010 at 11:33 PM

Several states are already considering legislation that would require presidential candidates to produce their birth certificate so this episode is never again repeated.

Therefore, the Democrat party is taking an early initiative to “settle” this issue once and for all. They feel they must produce something in order for Obama to run in 2012.

Not that I will believe any “evidence” they purport to have that proves where Obama was born. The more relevant issue is the fact that, even if he was born in Hawaii, his father was NEVER a U.S. citizen, thus Obama cannot be a natural born citizen.

John the Libertarian on December 31, 2010 at 12:49 AM

The Bowl games are fiefdoms for those that run them…While it is more expensive for football teams to travel compared to BBall teams, a playoff can happen at the Div. 1 level. A playoff system has been in place forEVER in Div. 2 and 3…Seed the teams based on their ranking, give the higer ranked team a home game to start off the playoffs then move to the mid-sized bowl venues and onto the big bowls…

While he’s about it, he should prove that 9/11 was not arranged by the government, that men landed on the moon in 1969, that there are no bigfoots and that we’re not being visited by space aliens.

Happy New Year everybody. I am getting primed for party mode. The count down has begun.

Rejoice. Remember what happened on Nov 2. Let’s keep that momentum Going Rogue…I mean Going Forward. Its been a descent year for Tea Party Patriots.

Not so good of a year for the CudaPhobes though. Much sorrow in their quarter.

that we’re not being visited by space aliens.

Can’t do that one. Podesta.

Keeping the masses ignorant is always the democrats’ best hope.

Remember that, fools who vote for them.

“We would ask that you not broadcast this accomplishment out to any of your lists . . . e-mails can too easily be forwarded.” They had been lucky that “thus far, it seems that no press or blogs have discovered it. . . . The longer this [regulation] goes unnoticed, the better our chances of keeping it.”

So much for the Democrats’ transparency – and for their repeated claim that the more people learn what is in the health-care law, the more they will like it. Turns out ignorance is the Democrats’ best hope.

1 in 3 chance of a BCS bid.

Now, what I wanna see is some

1 of them cowgirls liable

I’m not a birther for one reason: I would hate to see Obama lose his office via a technicality.

That said, it gravels my gourd big time to watch people mock the birthers claims. The media elite including Megyn Kelly are afraid to even be within the shadow of a birther, our society’s true outcasts (see Hinduism, outcasts). The fact is that Obama has not produced the long form birth certificate. No one has seen it as far as I know yet we’re all supposed to laugh at the cretins who point this fact out.

Stop the mocking. It’s ticking me off. Let’s start treating our citizenry with respect.

It’s Obama’s only way forward during the next two years. He will never get past the half-Republican 112th Congress what he could not get past the overwhelmingly Democratic 111th. He doesn’t have the votes and he surely doesn’t want the publicity. Hence the quiet resurrection, as it were, of end-of-life counseling.

Obama knows he has only so many years to change the country. In his first two, he achieved much: the first stimulus, Obamacare and financial regulation. For the next two, however, the Republican House will prevent any repetition of that. Obama’s agenda will therefore have to be advanced by the more subterranean means of rule-by-regulation.
