Napolitano: We’re working “364 days a year” to fight terror

posted at 9:56 pm on December 20, 2010 by Allahpundit

A nuanced treat from the same tough-minded security czar who looked upon the near-destruction of Flight 253 and declared, “The system worked.” In fact, now that I think of it, didn’t the Flight 253 plot go down last year on Christmas Day? Well, then, there’s your answer to why DHS missed so many red flags at the time: They had Christmas off.

Clip via Mediate, which finds the silver lining here: “Napolitano didn’t specify which day was the Homeland Security ‘off day,’ which of course helps to keep our terrorist enemies off guard.”

Lying sack of crap this witch is. You are not working at all on Terror. If that was the case then you need to do you job and enforce our Borders and round up the Illegal’s their anchor babies and send them back home. But on Drudge there is a article about you are going to Combat Global Warming. You are a Total Joke.

The problem is where you are directing you fight! Leave teh American people alone and direct attention where it belongs. Retunring veterans, evangelicals, and other law abiding air travelers are not your targets. Here is a clue, admit we are fighting radical Islam and tell the rest of Islam if you are with us then denounce the radicals. Step it up and handle your own peacefull Islam!

6.7-Magnitude Earthquake Reported in Southeastern Iran
Dec 20, 2010 2:47 PM EST
TEHRAN, Iran — Iran’s state TV says a magnitude 6.5 earthquake has struck southeastern Iran, but there are no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

The report said the strong quake hit Hosseinabad, a town in southeastern Iran, at 22:12 local time. The area is close to the historical city of Bam, site of a devastating 2003 earthquake that killed 26,000 people.

Iran is located on seismic fault lines and is prone to earthquakes. It experiences at least one slight earthquake every day on average.

Being old and/or being “ill” isn’t synonymous with NOT being under the influence. Many of those “older folk” you see running into things and such are certainly under the influence.

I’m not referring to alcohol but to SUBSTANCES. Napolitano certainly displays all the influence of such.

Lourdes on December 20, 2010 at 10:33 PM

I’ll be honest, I’ve been to a lot of Tea Party rallies, but we need some big freaking rallies next year.
We are in the hands of the most incompetent and corrupt individuals in our history. I fear for my children. I seriously fear what they face if things do not change.
We cannot just sit back now and think the new Republican House is going to fix everything.
Every stinking 6 hours it’s a new mandate, a new regulation, another bill passed or vote taken to shred what’s left of our freedoms. All in the name of saving us from ourselves. They are like vampires. Never is enough enough! They pass billions of dollars in spending, it’s not enough. A trillion? Not enough! They will take and seize and tax and it will only lead to more of the same and all the while, there are still people who only care about what’s on TV tonight.
I know people are waking up. I also know we are waiting for this congress to change! How much more will they burn before leaving town!? God only knows!
I tell you what.. the Republicans in this next congress better step up right away and start shaking things! They better start right away displaying some guts!

Ok, I’ve ranted! but knowing we won the election and having to sit here and wait for some sanity to return to congress while being forced to watch these fools continue to kick dirt in our faces everyday is,… well, it’s a great exercise in patience!

To the first part of your statement, from the standpoint of an Arizona resident, Obama’ choice for Big Sis was absolutely brilliant. We got rid of a really lousy governor and replaced her with a person who is principled and has a spine. We apologize to the rest of the states that everybody has to suffer under her “leadership”, but we are doing the happy dance here to have her gone.

To the second part of your statement, if Bush or Sarah had said that, it would have been the lead on every news broadcast, SNL would be writing skits for months, Leno et al would have it in each of their monologues and it would be campaign fodder for the next 4 years.
