Poll: What was the Obamateurism of the Week?

posted at 8:05 am on November 29, 2010 by Ed Morrissey

We’re voting on the OOTW today because I was traveling yesterday, unfortunately without my huge carbon-footprint vehicle.  Be sure to say “Yes, you did!” when people ask you whether you got your vote in.  Sorry for the delay on the poll, though; I know it caused a huge inconvenience for all of us.  Well, at least all of you.

Previous 2010 “winners”:

Got an  Obamateurism of the Day? If you see a foul-up by Barack Obama, e-mail it to me at obamaisms@edmorrissey.com with the quote and the link to the  Obamateurism. I’ll post the best Obamateurisms on a daily basis, depending on how many I receive. Include a link to your blog, and I’ll give some link love as well. And unlike Slate, I promise to end the feature when Barack Obama leaves office.

Illustrations by Chris Muir of Day by Day. Be sure to read the adventures of Sam, Zed, Damon, and Jan every day!

I know she’s quite unattractive but I don’t think you should call Michelle, The Beast.

Basilsbest on November 29, 2010 at 8:16 AM

Gotta go with the beast. It’s the same reason I want to slap every rich person/celebrity who cries about tax cuts for the rich and then pays their accountant to make sure they pay as little as possible.

As of 8:17, almost a dead heat.

Any poll that originated in Frankensota is highly suspect.

Obamateurism 12 stitches from playing with his staff, and resorting to play with his little girls to avoid further injury.

I chose “Yes We Did”, because a mind is a terrible thing to waste. While Obama and the Democrats are in complete denial in what occurred on Nov. 2nd, a strong majority of this nation’s voters said distinctly enough is enough. No matter how hard Obama tries to spin it, “Yes We Did” was a resound NO YOU WON’T.

Rovin on November 29, 2010 at 8:33 AM

Inconvenience? That’s what the frog in the pan of water said. I guess the Wikileaks dump is an inconvenience, too.

Nice of him to group himself with us peasants. I will give great comfort to the parents of America the next time their children are strip searched and violated with a dirty glove.

Who is this “us” you speak of, Kemosabe?

profitsbeard on November 29, 2010 at 9:01 AM

Slim pickings. Maybe you could have picked something from the Barbara Walter’s interview. Luckily, my sidekick Jihad Kitty also interviewed the Obamas. There are several Obamteurisms. Please don’t comment on my spelling caterpillar incorrectly after making fun of Michelle’s grammar. That’s how we spell it in Boston. Granny Jan

I think we an Obama’s Cognitive Dissonance Thread, listing all of those things that he tells us that we know to be the diametric opposite of reality.

“You turned ‘Yes We Can’ into ‘Yes We Did.’”

Yeah, right.

OMFGosh I fell out of my chair that was hilarious!

On only a slightly more serious note, a vehicle safe enough for the President of the United States has to be more then hippie powered. I love “The Beast”, my problem is that he was at a “greed green” anything.

HAExpert on November 29, 2010 at 9:37 AM

“All of us” being the opposite of the editorial “we”.

“Yes we Did!”. Campaigning by slogan, ok. Governing by slogan, not ok.
