Wonderful: Geraldo now keeping an open mind about 9/11 truth

posted at 8:49 pm on November 15, 2010 by Allahpundit

In case you missed it, here’s what Fox News was cooking up for viewers in primetime on Saturday night. The Screw Loose Change guys, who’ve spent years debunking Truther insanity, watched it and declared that Al Capone’s vault is now a highlight of Geraldo’s career by comparison.

If you’re curious about the physics of WTC7′s collapse, I recommend this brief but insightful 2007 analysis from Structure Magazine or Popular Mechanics’s piece on the NIST report released in 2008. If you’re not curious about the physics and would rather think critically about the alleged conspiracy, here’s a fun place to start: Why, oh why, oh why would the nefarious neocon junta that’s supposedly responsible for the 9/11 attacks have bothered with Building 7 in the first place? Never mind the huge number of government operatives they would have needed to plant explosives in the various buildings damaged or destroyed that day, or the fact that somehow not a single one of them has leaked anything about the plot more than nine years later despite that information being worth untold millions. Just ask yourself: If they were going to bring down the Towers as a pretext for war in the Middle East, why the hell would they have brought down Building 7 too? The structure’s collapse adds nothing to the already severe trauma of the day, and taking the time and effort to plant explosives would only increase the odds of detection. It would have been a wholly needless risk. And if, for whatever insane reason, the goal was to take down the Towers plus some other random building, why was Building Seven chosen instead of the far more iconic World Financial Center right next door?

These are the sort of questions that would occur to a perceptive fourth-grader, yet somehow they go unasked on this otherwise tough-minded investigative show. Go figure.

No amount of facts will ever satisfy the people who want to believe a conspiracy took place. Does anybody remember Jim Garrison?

BINGO!

THE REAL CONPIRACY:

1) GWB CONSPIRED WITH DEMS TO CREATE 9/11 WHILE BURNING THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE

2) GWB WENT TO IRAQ & AFGHAN WAR

3) GWB ASSURED OF 2 TERMS BY DEMS FIELDS THE WEAKEST NOMINEE NAMED KERRY

4) GWB TO BECOME MUM AND SILENT

5) GWB/FED/DEM TO CREATE Sept 2008 Financial Crisis

6) INSTALLMENT PAY: THE LIBERAL MAN WITH NO BIRTH CERTIFICATE TO TAKE THE THROWN

7. FINAL PAY INCLUDING PRINCIPAL: THEN IN RETURN, DEMOCRATS AND THE MAN WITH NO BIRTH CERTIFICATE TO STAY IN POWER FOR 40 YEARS.

BUT THE GRAND DESIGN WAS UNFORTUNATELY DESTROYED BY TEA PARTY MOVEMENT!

Rosie O’Donnell hadn’t gone on a paranoid rant in a few months and was going through withdrawal?

So Geraldo thinks this conspiracy theory is gaining credibility because around a thousand engineers and scientist don’t agree with the 9/11 commission concerning the destruction of building No. 7.
…this is supposed to “open” Geraldo’s mind.

Well newsflash for you genius.

We heard for years that the debate concerning global warming was over and that 1500 scientist at the UN’s IPCC could not be wrong.

They stated that due to global warming:

The glaciers were melting

The rain forest would be destroyed

The oceans were rising

Apocalyptic weather and disasters would happen

African crops were being destroyed

All of this was yelled from the roof tops by thousands of “climate experts” and “scientist”……
………..and all of them were 100% wrong.

You keep f#$king that chicken Geraldo….I mean the fact that Osama has admitted to carrying out these attacks means nothing to the “smartest people in the room.”

On the contrary. Those were done INTENTIONALLY to mislead you into your current mistaken conclusion. It’s been a very successful diversion from the REAL truth. Which will be revealed soon. When it will be too late for anyone to prevent the next step!

MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

I looked at the petition and I cannot believe all of the PEs that put their name on it. Most of them were not related to structural engineering but I did see two SEs. Incredible.

Need more Guilfoyle!!!

Time to take Geraldo off the air, and I’ve defended him plenty over the years, even with that maps in the sand incident. This is too much, either re-brand the show into a tabloid news program not to be taken seriously, or take this nut off the air.

If he has an open mind about this, then he HAS to have an open mind about Obama’s birth certificate, RIGHT?

Fox is supposed to be fair and balanced and a liberal may argue they are not fair, but they always look foolish when they claim Fox is not balanced considering the diverse ideologies they allow to spar on the air. WHERE was the challenge to these nuts, where was the BALANCE Fox?

Yes, it was a cospiracy orchestrated by the Build-a-Bear Group in a meeting at the Bohemian Rhapsody Grove. It was during one of the mock elections that the Cheap Masons held while wearing their robes.

I beg to differ. I think Geraldo’s finest moment was when a skinhead broke Geraldo’s nose after going upside his head with a chair.

The liberals keep saying that George Bush is stupid; but if the guy could pull off such a grandiose, far-reaching conspiracy, then Bush must rank as one of the most brilliant, powerful, leader geniuses in the history of mankind.
And Cheney is Nr. 2 (or maybe Cheney is the real genius pulling the strings on Bush??? Ooooh, another conspiracy idea…)

When do we get to see the bigfoot segment?

faol on November 16, 2010 at 8:28 AM

The only evidence of Bigfoot is easily hoaxed blurry photos, grainy movie film/video tape and plaster casts of footprints. That is better and more believable evidence than the “troofers” will ever have. Also, belief in Bigfoot doesn’t require you to accept that your country is so vile as to murder 3000 innocent people as pretext for war. Nasty lot those troofers.

Still don’t understand why he’s on FOX. It must be for the Natl Enquirer reader audience.

Just ask yourself: If they were going to bring down the Towers as a pretext for war in the Middle East, why the hell would they have brought down Building 7 too?

Well, I believe their answer to that question has always been that is was for what Building 7 contained, and/or it served as the conspiracy‘s operational center. You know, after all these years, you’d think you’d have heard that by now! (Or at least hit the Wikipedia before writing some longass rant about it!)

I love a good conspiracy theory myself. Sometimes, I read ATS as a guilty pleasure. But please. This government is too big and stupid to pull off something like that. (Why, Bill Clinton couldn’t even get a little sumpin sumpin without being found out!)

Now, if you ask me was the federal government utterly incompetent in one of its few Constitutionally mandated duties, I’d have to say most definitely. And, if you ask me has the government taken advantage of 9/11, and seized more power and property, grown government to obscene levels, and trampled all over our Constitutional rights, I would also answer, yes, it has absolutely done, and continues to do, just that (many times with the approval of the sheeple! Alas, not so stupid in that case).

This is just Geraldo laying the groundwork for Obama’s second term campaign strategy/slogan… “Bush DID IT!”

RalphyBoy on November 16, 2010 at 10:26 AM

C’mon guys. The explanation is simple. Geraldo thinks Olberdummy is soon to be expelled by Comcast and is under the mistaken belief that he has a shot at replacing him in that slot . . . and that they’ll want somebody as kooky as him.

Though Geraldo just thinks the way to get respect is to have such an open mind your brains are falling out, whatever you have left from standing in 100 mile an hour winds with shingles flying by your head . . .

Thats been my argument. It would be impossible to keep that many mouths shut. Plus u didnt mention the planes. That would have required another huge number of government operatives to coordinate and prepare.

Greed on November 16, 2010 at 2:52 PM

Screw WTC 7….why did Bush blow up the church nearby that New York won’t allow to be rebuilt? No planes hit it, so intentional demolition is the only plausible explanation.
