O’Donnell outdraws Biden 5-1 in Delaware rallies in final days

posted at 11:00 am on November 2, 2010 by Ed Morrissey

Which rally would Delaware voters most like to attend?   The one that features the candidate reviled by the media as everything from a witch to a whore, or the one that features the Vice President of the United States, who represented Delaware in the Senate for more than 30 years?  Let’s go to the tape, shall we?

First up, the champeen of Delaware:

Vice president Joe Biden is urging fellow Delaware Democrats to get voters to the polls for the midterm elections.

Biden headlined a Democratic rally in downtown Wilmington on Monday evening that drew about 200 people.

And in the other corner, the Challenger No One Takes Seriously:

Tea party activists are trying to energize conservative voters to propel Republican Christine O’Donnell to a victory in Delaware’s U.S. Senate race.

More than a thousand people gathered Sunday at a rally in Wilmington to cheer on O’Donnell and GOP House candidate Glen Urquhart, another tea-party-backed candidate.

I know I’m supposed to be pragmatic.  I know that Christine O’Donnell has less chance of winning today than the Minnesota Vikings have of ending up with a winning record this season.  I know all of these things, but … I’m going to indulge in some irrational exuberance anyway, or at the very least, a little schadenfreude at Biden’s expense.  Two hundred was the best he could do in his home state on Election Eve?  Talk about an enthusiasm gap.

Via Conservatives for Congress, here’s the candidate herself at the rally Sunday, making her final pitch to Delaware voters:

Putting out an “infomercial” is analgous to someone pleading for you to link to their personal blog to see their latest musings.

No; whether it’s Obama or O’Donnell, it’s one of many ways for a candidate to communicate to prospective voters, and for those prospective voters to evaluate the candidate.

And I find it FASCINATING to see liberals, at every turn, trying to keep voters from seeing or hearing things this election cycle. Cut the debates, the town halls, “forget” to play the infomercial (I’ll bet $100 that some union video operator has been having rounds bought for him by his pals for “forgetting”). And yet the word has gotten out, and a massive red wave is about to sweep out much of the corruption that liberalism has become. An that is glorious!

Witch rally? The O’Donnell one, of course.

We’ll see at the end of the day who’s singing the Choka Polka…

America loves underdogs, maybe even in Delaware. I also suspect a Scott Brown effect of people coming out of the woodwork to vote who have felt for 30 years their vote just didn’t matter so why go to the polls?

It did add a certain flair to the post, intentional or not.

But I’m sure that’s just my bias….

I am not surprised that Christine O’Donnel out drew ralliers 5 to 1 compared to Joe “Mister Gaffe” Biden.

Christine O’Donnel is smarter, more clever, and more knowledgeable than Biden who got by with virtually nothing, perhaps by mindless, careless, misinformed, disinterested voters who kept lock step with the Plantation ruling, racist, bigoted, misogynist part, the party of big, overwhelming, Constitution violating government, Islamofascist Jihadi sympathizing more than the Republican Party, and Socialism-redistribution of wealth, Keynesian economics party.

Not to mention the party most likely supportive of butchering-slaughtering-abusing-assassinating babies via elective abortion, also while wanting to use taxpayer money to do so, and the party which silences opposition to abortion – laying their control trips against conscientious objectors such as physicians, pharmacists, nurses, etc,. who oppose abortion by wanting to coerce them into towing the line and “providing” the “services” they are told to provide, helping to kill new, innocent human beings.

Let’s not forget also the predominance in promoting a third world nation, and also a nation which engages in supporting behavior which was at one time in our nation’s history considered “Corrupting the morals of a minor,” and making such behavior totally acceptable and protected by law.
There is more that the Democrats are dangerous for and should NEVER get near a political office again, such as taking over banks, financial institutions, auto manufacturers, and other business, and ruining our economy, making our nation a huge welfare state, contributing to the destruction of the family and of the black and Hispanic community by creating a huge welfare-dependency state, making blacks and Hispanics preferred minorities, while discriminating against Caucasians and Asians-Orientals who outperform the preferred minorities on pure effort and earned merit.

Sarah Palin beat the living daylights out of Joe Biden in the debate in election year 2004. Biden betrayed his ignorance of the Constitution, of how the Congress works, what a Vice President does, and so forth, yet the corrupt, bastardized, vicious, dishonest, amateurish, Pravda type media ignorantly put for the false belief that Biden taught Palin a lesson, when it was clearly the other way around, save for Biden is too thick headed to learn a lesson from a bright person, he hears only the sound of his own voice, and is closed to Truth, Justice, and the American, United States, way. Sarah Palin definintely took him to school and was brilliant in her performance.

Perhaps Christine O’Donnel will surprise everyone and win this elections against the dishonest, prejudiced, biased media’s efforts to coronate Coons, and perhaps Christine will serve in Congress well.
